Just stayed at this property for Christmas with my gf. It was my best experience at a hotel. I thank you for introducing me to the world of Hyatt. Did the Eliza Jane in May on your recommendation. Found it funny that I went to this property soon after you stayed. Your reviews are the best around & the consistency will definitely get you the recognition you deserve. Thank you for everything & look forward to other amazing property reviews from you.
Thanks Ryan. I’m so glad they are helpful. I do my best to put myself in the shoes of people contemplating staying at the property. I’ll continue making more. I have a handful of reviews to put out that I just haven’t had time to compile due to my travel. How ironic.
Thanks so much. I enjoy doing them. Try to give a real life look of each property without over-editing. Hopefully goes me people a good idea of what to expect before booking!
I just booked the Thompson for one night for pre-cruise in April. The decision came down to the Thompson vs the Beekman, actually. Picked the Thompson based on location. But the Beekman seems to be listed in a lot of publications as being one of the nicest hotels in NYC.
Good review like always. Are you able to stay at Cap Cana Dominican Republic? It’s very close to Punta Cana airport. I stay at the Hyatt Zilara at 21 pts a night.the hotel was incredible. All drinks and so many restaurants everything included ,I highly recommend it.
Thanks for this recommendation. We recently stayed at the Hyatt Zilara in Cancun. I’m working on that review video for future release. We took advantage of the unlimited margaritas!
Hey Brandon great video as always. Hyatt status seems really beneficial but also is the hardest to get. Can you describe your strategy on how you continue to maintain it year after year? Do you really stay 60 nights/year in Hyatt hotel?
Hey great review, I'm planning a trip to NYC very soon. I have a question, this might sound weird but, are there any ice machines on every floor? We're going because my wife is getting a cosmetic surgery and access to an ice machine to help with the pain seems like a priority. I'd appreciate your response.
Not a weird question at all. You know what, yo be honest I don’t know. I never pay attention to the ice machines. I’d hate to steer you wrong on that. Wish I knew. The property is amazing though and the staff are helpful so they may be able to help!
Yup! Another great review. That looks like the perfect 3 day trip. Definitely going to try to head to New York City in 2023 and Hamilton is 100% going to be on the Itinerary... too bad I don't have Globalist status.
I enjoyed Hamilton. At first I wasn’t ready for the speedy vocal delivery is some of the script, but after a few minutes it was in a groove. Great acting and great story telling.
I also took my mom to NY, (my son, my mom, and I),… we all stayed in a two Queen beds & sofa room and oh boy!! Big mistake, my mom snored like a freight train. My son and I couldn’t sleep. Needless to say I am NOT bringing mom again to stay with us in a hotel unless it has separate bedrooms. 🍻
When I pick a hotel, the mattress is key decision in picking a place. Next, I look at outlet reviews (too many places have not modernized or you have to move furniture to reach outlets) and the fitness center. Yes, I workout even when I’m on vacation.
The mattress is critical. Unless otherwise stated in my reviews, the mattresses are usually very comfortable. Tell you what, I’m going to make sure I mention that in future videos. Thanks for bringing that up. The power outlets are critical. Sooooo many places put them in the most awkward places in the room.
Personally, whenever I have to come to NYC, I pay cash for either 50 Bowery or the Hyatt Place at Long Island City, or if I wanna use points, the HR at Jersey City. The properties in Manhattan just don’t have good value after the last points increase (this Thompson used to be a cat 5!)…
Yep. And the park Hyatt moved to a Cat 8 property recently. There is def a premium on the Manhattan location. If you make the decision to stay in this area then this property is a no brainer. On the other hand, lots of cheaper options in other areas. Just depends on what you want. Thanks for bringing up these points. Very helpful!!!
Great question. We are staying at the Andaz at the beginning of April so I’ll let you know once that trip is complete. Otherwise I don’t have any first hand experience with that property.
Breakfast was fantastic and I’m not a big breakfast eater. There was some sort of turkey fennel hash that was unreal loved it. Yes, as globalist it was free. Good thing too because it wasn’t cheap on the cash price.

Commenting before viewing just to say how excited I am because o know your review videos are the best!

Loved seeing the review! Again, so cool that you got to see Hamilton in NY!
It was awesome. Really enjoyed it!!!

We’ve looked at the Beekman as an option as well. For location, it’s hard to beat the Thompson or Park Hyatt.

Glad you mentioned this. We are working on a video right now to show how we earned status this year. Lot of different things go into it. Stay tuned!!!
This was an amazing review of the hotel. Thank you for sharing tips, and we can't wait to try the pizza place.
I hope it was helpful! Great location and at a much better rate than the Park Hyatt right across the street.

We run into the same issue. Only now I’m sooooo tired by the end of the day that I could sleep through just about anything.
@@thebrandonboydshow 😂 👍
Great review + points redemption! Looks like it was an amazing trip! Thanks for the info + video!
It was pretty awesome. For the cost it is a great value.
We were there just a few weeks ago. Had an event at Carnegie Hall which is on the same block. Great location.
Can’t beat the location. Great value for this area.

Great video 👍🏾
Hope it was helpful!
Gotta check out that pizza restaurant next time I'm around 5th ave
It’s good. Hard to find any faults with the pizza. Delicious!
I’ve stayed here a few years ago. Nice place. NYC has lost its glamour after the “FLU”.
It’s a lot less crowded which is fine with me.
How is this compared to the Andaz? Trying to figure out which to book.
Great question. We are staying at the Andaz at the beginning of April so I’ll let you know once that trip is complete. Otherwise I don’t have any first hand experience with that property.
@@thebrandonboydshow Thank you
Do the suites have a microwave?
I remember Rice to Riches from the movie Hitch
disappointing to see the bathroom looks like a Holiday Inn Express
Mom is beautiful ❤
How was the breakfast at thompson and is it included for globalists??
Breakfast was fantastic and I’m not a big breakfast eater. There was some sort of turkey fennel hash that was unreal loved it. Yes, as globalist it was free. Good thing too because it wasn’t cheap on the cash price.
$147.00 and your toast on your sandwich was burnt.......
You pay extra for burnt toast I guess.
Didn’t you get room upgrade on your globalist status?
