It was cool to see how quick Ed improved and picked up on the rhythms of CC and general game sense. The last game was such a massive improvement from the first. Hope you keep doing these.
yo Ed, go to settings>interface>nameplate motion type>stacking nameplates. This will help you see nameplates much easier when it comes to totems and what not.
And unless you’re a healer. You’ll never need to touch them after that. If you play everything like me, then you could make keybinds to toggle (friendly) and toggle (enemy) nameplates.
Good work Edward. I like your mindset so far, "plus experience" is the perfect way to think about it and we let the rating come as it may (and it will come baby boy).
My take on this.... regarding healers specifically, a LOT of healers in 1300ish range are people who just re-rolled or changed specs and are still learning, or are just bad. There are so few healers that the DPS players get stuck there due to the healers being inexperienced, not able to keep up with the crazy damage melee is cranking out right now. Even good DPS players will get stuck there for a while. Randomly you get a GOOD healer and go 5-1 or something and make some progress, and some people playing FOTM classes just get lucky and bounce right past it with a 4-5 good solid games. It certainly doesn't help that you lose more in one loss than you gain in two good runs generally unless you're going 6-0, its usually 4-2, so you just climb slow as hell and get smacked back down. For me, prob 60% of my games go 3-3, which to me is an obvious sign of one healer clearly being better than the other. For context, I main a shadow priest now but I played my disc to 1700-ish in SS and 3s before. Not great, I admit, my main problem is that I struggle with crazy CCs this meta, but I definitely feel the elo hell.
I can't express how much i enjoyed this. I have never been so in someone's corner as I was in Ed's. I was rooting for you every match my friend. i can't believe this wasn't recommended to me sooner!
After colossus smash, he definitely needs to disarm the warrior, right before Bladestorm because while colossus smash is active, he will hit 2 random mortal strikes with bladestorm. You need to reduce the duration of colossus smash with disarm.
Kudos for actually having the balls to post this. It gotta be stressful af having multi rank 1 player in your ear and watching you lol. Practice makes perfect, gotta get that muscle memory and you'll be gucci!
Ive been a fan ever since my friend that i had gotten into wow a month prior and I faced you in the arena during shadowlands, now we support the move all the way baby.
Road map (if this does well) 1. Make a series out of this with Ed but also do videos with different rogue players of various skill levels. 2. Get your teammates to do these types of videos too. A sudden burst of uploads of similar content might catch on to my good friend Al Gorithm. 3. Get your teammates to do a coaching session all together with a 3s team. The people you are coaching play a game and then you vod review or just talk about it immediately after each game. Live coaching with 6 people in a call sounds like hell so probably not that one (Many other ways to approach this idea tho). 4. You get your team that you coached to face off against another groups coached team and have proxy wars. Now only if this type of content does well will this work, because you need it to be popular enough for other people to steal and create their own teams. And you might ask, “why tf aren’t we just playing the game ourselves against that other team?” And to that point, I couldn’t think of anything other the banner of “educational content” which has a lot of pros and cons with it… which I will now list lol Pros 1. Helps grow the PvP section of WoW. This has got to be one of the best reasons to do these types of videos. Watching someone just jump into the class head first proves that other people can do it too. 2. Easy to produce this type of content, but hard to keep it consistently entertaining. Cons 1. Vibe check. People will definitely come to the stream thinking it’s more educational friendly and sometimes that’s just not that kinda vibe that day. 2. Sounds boring as shit. If the person you are coaching is timid/nervous, it’ll be harder to make videos out of that and you probably won’t be able to use each session for the youtubes. So that means you have to do it more, so you get to play less. Might be good if your carpal tunnel is acting up tho. Last couple thoughts A different kind of game experience from your side. Thinking much more on the macro side for more experienced players when it’s more rotational fixes and basic cc instructions for newer players. Would be very cool to see those higher rated coaching lessons from a viewers prospective. Ty for reading, If you couldn’t tell, I was fried when making this. I had nothing better to do at 1am and am now sleepy after writing this. Zzz
last season i leveled my druid and i havent pvped on him much so my mmr was like 1500. im telling you, i joined so many tanks shuffle. it was legit ELO HELL
I think you should teach him Sub. With Bomb and duel and his play improve, he can easily get to 1800. Kidney healer, cheap kill target blade dance symbol septic secret tech duel goremaw bite cheap evis cheap evis. Outlaw just dont have that damage to secure the kill by himself. But after 1800 is different story. You should tell him to use fient more often. Fient the bladestorm. Fient anything that Aoe esp when you low.
My favorite moment was at 40:57 when the warrior tried to stay in dome and Ed tried to pull him out of dome Except Ed’s healer was the disc priest and the warrior’s was a holy priest. Lmao
I play this rank as mage, it's tough. Not because I suck but because of my teammates just dying. I have to peel attention off of doing damage to constantly peel people off my healer or 3rd. It actually got easier the higher rank I got
mann that would be tough to have one of the worlds best rogues trying to tell you how to play. But deffently would be cool and could learn alot . . lol Pika could charge for this 😅
Gawd to understand Wow like you guys do. I love pvp hell i play smite everyday just for this lol. But your build seems to be everything unlesss your team skilll is there
Disable minion nameplates and healthbars. Go to settings and change Tab to target nearest enemy player instead of target nearest enemy. These things changed my life when i was struggling. I think you are doing great. Unfortunate games, but great content nonetheless! Keep up the good work!
I am sitting at mid 1300"s i tell ya the lobbys in solo you get either 1400+ rated or 0 rated and super lazy healers who blame dps , i play a range squishy MM so i play around my healer using los a lot of the time, but it is crazy at that rating people learning and people having so much agro at players, i will note usually healers saying that came across a group of 6 players and we all just supported each other lol funny as heck, we all need to learn, but i have no idea how to get out of it lol, a lot of fun though and totally insane, i have been playing this game for 17 err almost 18 years now and only this ex pac i tried my hand at pvp and the abuse lol lucky i am a old bloke so water off of a ducks back :) err not to sure what my point was here but hey it is all good right ???
Dude the car noise after the guy lives on 39 hp lmao
It's a motorcycle. An inline 4 like a crotch rocket.
LOL shit was so funny
It was cool to see how quick Ed improved and picked up on the rhythms of CC and general game sense. The last game was such a massive improvement from the first. Hope you keep doing these.
i mean he has arguably one of the best rogues on retail coaching, i think something like this would cost a mere mortal thousands haha
Ed "That's as clean as it gets" the Editor. Has a good ring to it.
20:29 "Nobody says a word to that guy." got me good 😂😂😂
This series is actually amazing - Please bring more! I liked the live coaching as well as the retrospective coaching
more of these please, this was fun
this was so fun to watch. you guys have nice chemistry and pika's actually such a good coach. I will watch every one of these yall upload
39:27 " I mean that was... That was what im TALKING ABOUT "
HAHAHAHAHA
yo Ed, go to settings>interface>nameplate motion type>stacking nameplates. This will help you see nameplates much easier when it comes to totems and what not.
Holy shit I needed this and I didn't even know it......
Also turn on “larger nameplates” and “always show nameplates”
And unless you’re a healer. You’ll never need to touch them after that. If you play everything like me, then you could make keybinds to toggle (friendly) and toggle (enemy) nameplates.
@@Grimlocked got you fam
Seeing the lights click in Ed's head when he got the strat down was gold, reminds me of when I started rated. GGs boys.
the vanish noise is amazing.
Really enjoyed this video and the longer format super helpful and entertaining.
yoo Ed having a feature with voice is insane, ive never watched a youtuber which editor i care for
Good work Edward. I like your mindset so far, "plus experience" is the perfect way to think about it and we let the rating come as it may (and it will come baby boy).
really enjoyed this video style....do more of these!!

Big improvement just in this one video alone - keep it up, dude!
Havent done arena in years, but this vid is actual amazing. Big ups Pika and Ed
After colossus smash, he definitely needs to disarm the warrior, right before Bladestorm because while colossus smash is active, he will hit 2 random mortal strikes with bladestorm. You need to reduce the duration of colossus smash with disarm.
3:03 lil yellow pikachu was loud there behind
watching these game actually gave me so much anxiety lol. Gl for that rogue on climbing
Hey, amazing progression! i can see you keep getting better and better! keep it up!
This was just as funny as it was live 😂
More, please! We're invested now! And it's pretty great for learning too! Go Ed!!! 💪
what is the add on that he has in top middle of a screen that notifies enemy's burst? (like beast of wrath, etc)
The fact aht you onbly started rogue a week ago and already doing all this is amazing ur doing really well
dude last night was absolutely FRIEEEEDDD
this is sick! love it
Kudos for actually having the balls to post this. It gotta be stressful af having multi rank 1 player in your ear and watching you lol. Practice makes perfect, gotta get that muscle memory and you'll be gucci!

Prot pally can play only with another prot pally
ED you did a great job learning man! Keep it up dude and keep the video coming
Ive been a fan ever since my friend that i had gotten into wow a month prior and I faced you in the arena during shadowlands, now we support the move all the way baby.
Yoooo that car noise has me fucking howling with laughter.
The sound on Vanish is killing me :D

I love the random chaos in low rating😂😂
Dam that last WIN GG BOYS
Respect to Ed for sharing this. Would love to see how far you can climb
I just want to say more top players should be doing this man. Would be great for the community. Props to you my man.
These are the best vids
At that mmr you train the heals it sounds dumb but it works alot of the times they panic
First time playing this rogue? Insanely good

being coached by pika is a dream come true
That

"this is painful to watch back" come on dude, that's how you learn. keep ya head up!
This is just soo good. Tip my hat to you, Ed. GG's
you're doing great Ed!!!!
No way Ed's voice!!
Pika I wanna see you fight cvark or on dalaran since xar isn’t on retail anymore
Ed having the literal best rogue coach in the game.
The vanish sound effect is so troll lol.
need to give larger nameplates a try, its easier to see the class colors in the sea of pets. default option. you kicked ass, Ed.
last season i leveled my druid and i havent pvped on him much so my mmr was like 1500. im telling you, i joined so many tanks shuffle. it was legit ELO HELL
wtf the car noise is sending me haha

do more videos like this!
More!
Just blasting into thorns while at 30% hp lol
really nice video. gimme more EDucation
Lol this is hilarious .
I believe in you editor boy !!
I believe !!!
i love those videos
I love the ed-content ❤
Ed, maybe swap to big health bars so you can spot classes faster. I can't play with thin nameplates at all.
we neeeeeeeeeeeeeedddddddddddddddddddd more
i love both, so please mooore 😂
you can get 2 tanks instead of 2 healer in ss ??? what the
damn Ed gonna be a beast in no time
Season 1 shuffle I got 2500 in a x2 prot Pala game. Follow the light!
I play this rank as mage, it's tough. Not because I suck but because of my teammates just dying. I have to peel attention off of doing damage to constantly peel people off my healer or 3rd. It actually got easier the higher rank I got
🔥🔥 video
wow your great for 1 week, better than me most likely
VROOOOM - time to dance 😂
The game that ended at like 34:00 ish was just a straight pump fest 💀
Double prot is troll but wait till you get the Prot/Tank DH lobby
Doesn’t happen anymore. Prots only q into each other and other tanks are treated as dps
mann that would be tough to have one of the worlds best rogues trying to tell you how to play. But deffently would be cool and could learn alot . . lol Pika could charge for this 😅
Whats worse is arms warrior doesnt even gimp everyone because it doesnt force another prot.
Gawd to understand Wow like you guys do. I love pvp hell i play smite everyday just for this lol. But your build seems to be everything unlesss your team skilll is there
What does ELO mean?
rank
Disable minion nameplates and healthbars. Go to settings and change Tab to target nearest enemy player instead of target nearest enemy. These things changed my life when i was struggling. I think you are doing great. Unfortunate games, but great content nonetheless! Keep up the good work!
The chefs won!!!
Im glad that im not the only one with shitty lobbies. Keep going Ed
ay bro your racial gets you out of fears
I like how on mobile you can’t read the Ed the editor part. Pump faked

I think a nameplate addon would help him a lot in terms of keeping track of people. Plater.
Pika cane you make a ele shaman guide
everytime he says "we win soon" they lose 💀💀
Bigger nameplates and you'll feel the benefit
Ive been shredding through all the YT videos and this one top 3 most entertaining 🫡
is it me or NA ranked solo shuffle looks wayyyy more easier???
