Run through first loop of Gunbird (ガンバード), the second shmup developed by Psikyo. Will be going for the 2-ALL sometime in the future. Might write more later.
I have never seen this before! But I like that it has those trademark Psykio characteristics: the detailed, well animated sprites, and the bosses that turn into other bosses. You gotta write more. I love your write ups, man.
I will probably do a proper writeup when I get the 2 all clear. This is kind of a placeholder run for me. Agree with you this along with sengoku ace really have beautiful graphics, better than most of their later games actually.
It's on a bunch of different systems, PS1, Saturn back in the day. Also on Nintendo Switch and Steam. Maybe others as well. I have not played any of them so can't comment on the port quality.
