Whats the difference between the flour you are using and normal fluor?
Thanks for the recipe, greetings from Mexico

Hi, self raising flour is good for making bread as it becomes more soft. You can also use normal flour. The taste will be the same. But maybe not so soft

Self rising flour has baking powder already in it... To make self-rising flour just add 1 1/2 teaspoons of baking powder and 1/4 tsp salt to one cup of all purpose flour.. So for this recipe calling for 1 1/2 cups flour, just add 2 1/4 teaspoons of baking powder and another 3/8 tsp of salt to the recipe.

Since the website for the recipe no longer exists... It would be a good idea to add the recipe to the description. Salamat.

It would be easier and extremely handy if you could also provide the recipe. It's hard to continually pause a video in order to follow a recipe while making it.
And then on top of that, the commenters are telling me that there's no pineapple in it, so that's good information. I'm looking for a pineapple 🍍 banana 🍌 bread.

So, I have seen recently Gordon Ramsay show called "Uncharted" and he did one episode about Hawai. Apparently Banana Bread is popular there, so here I am. Is not really an bread for sandwich with ham and cheese? I feel like calling it bread is kinda confusing, it's good but yeah...

Its more between a bread and a cake

I saw Gordon not using sugar, what is obvious because it’s bread not a cake

That is possible. Gordon has his own recipe and the Hawaiians have their own.

Being from Hawaii, I've never heard of this. I guess adding coconut makes you think it's "Hawaiian" even though coconuts were brought here from the Caribbean.

I had this in Maui and Waikoloa. So definitely its a Hawaiian thing. By the way, this bread does not contain coconut. Just coconut oil.

What makes it a Hawaiian banana bread? When I make Hawaiian Banana bread I add crushed pineapple to it…

The recipe makes it Hawaiian banana bread. I have heard non- Hawaiian people often add crushed pineapple to this recipe.

@ Soumya Shubhra Ghosh I’m Hawaiian and we add crush pineapple and sometimes coconut to the banana bread recipe and that’s what makes it Hawaiian

This is not Hawaiian Banana Bread.. You forgot the pineapple and coconut. Hawaiian Banana Bread has pineapple or pineapple and coconut in it. It is normal in the whole United States to make banana bread with any oil, and with banana and and walnuts or any nuts... To make Hawaiian Banana bread I either use butter or avocado oil.. I do have extra virgin coconut oil, but have not used it for banana bread, yet.
