I just got my undercut and I have zero regrets. I mostly got mine to alleviate the weight of my hair. Now I can put my hair up without hurting when I take it down at night.

I had my undercut last week that I have always wanted for 4 years and I never regretted it. I do have an Asian mom and I haven't told her I have an undercut. She only knows that I cut my hair shorter and it looks good. She haven't seen my hair tied up.. I'll probably wait a while before I tell her. Best of luck to everyone who's nervous of getting one!

@@woosan6594 funny thing was she never even noticed even when I tied my hair! When the undercut grew, I got annoyed because I couldn't tie it so I got a wolfcut and I've never been happier with a haircut before!

@@__flamingbagel I think it depends on how fast your hair grows. Mine grows exceedingly slow as it almost took a year to get a proper short wolfcut. If your hair grows fast then you might not have to wait long for your undercut to turn it into a wolfcut.

hello? first of all you should get it done by a professional. honestly its personal preference if you’ll regret it or not but since you think you might regret it, you want to think about the benefits about having the undercut instead of the designs you put on it or the style. after all, its just hair and it will grow(:

I think if you fear regretting, wait it out until you don't feel that. If you really like the style go for it. If you are not sure, wait and just enjoy the way your hair is. Why do you want to get it by the way?

I have ridiculously thick hair, like it takes 7+ hours to dry after i shower and it’s insane. So i’ve been doing research on it and this is very helpful :)

Hey y'allI got my undercut 2 days ago, honestly, I don't regret it at all, it's so much cooler without the extra hair sagging down,but my hair is growing back much faster than I expected, so I'm gonna have to get it trimmed soon

I’ve had my undercut for about 2 years I still love it. I’d say the only cons is having to go to someone to trim it unless ur trimming it urself, personally I have to trim it every 3-4 months only. The other con is probably how it makes ur hair shorter which isn’t rlly a con for me but may be for others, certain hairstyles look wierd, and more difficulty putting hair extensions in. Other than that I’d recommend
When I first got mine I wanted everyone to know but i was so excited about it 😂 I put it on fb and insta. Now that I’ve had it a few months I forget it’s their. I love it because it is a lot cooler, easier to maintain my hair, so much weight gone because I have crazy thick hair!! I personally feel like my hair lays better when it natural because it’s frizzy and curly. I don’t regret mine at all and highly recommend it to someone has very thick hair

If you want it get it. if people make fun of you just don't listen and be confident but I think people would say that you look cool with it .When I got my undercut my mom hated it but I just didn't care couse I loved it and all my frieds told me it was cool and original. Good luck honey

You should definitely do it. Im from PR too and Ive been meaning to do it bc i like how it looks and bc my whole head is curly except for the nape -_- regardless if its a trend or not, go for it
I have thick hair myself and undercuts are pretty good with that, personally I find it easier to brush my hair, but I went from having medium length hair to shaving a full undercut.
Why I want one
1. I love the way they look
2. I have insanely thick puffy hair and it will make it easier to manage
3. I live in Texas and hate the heat
4. I wanna randomly get one and not tell anybody and see when they notice
5. It will take the weight off my head
6. I pull out my hair where you get an undercut a lot and it will help with my uneven hair
7. I can fidget with the hair
8. Undercut slay
My birthday is in 6 days and today I'm getting a patterned undercut! My parents don't know but I'm getting either and locus flower or sun.
Edit: I just got it cut! I'm so excited! It looks so pretty and my hair is super light on my head and my neck can breathe. I love it so much!

I just got a undercut today I've been wanting it for 3 years and I finally got it!!! I do not regret it. I started of easy tho, the girl who did it is a family member of ours. So I got it for free. But I told her to cut it just a little bit to start off with but now I want to cut it more, since I didn't know how it was gonna look on me. That is why I told her to only shave a little bit of hair but now I wanna shave it a bit more.

I want to get an undercut, even though I won't be able to cut it for almost a year. My hair is just past my chin, so even if I decided to grow it out it wouldn't look too weird. Low ponytails would be my best friend.

I got an undercut because I have too much hair and curly, and I love it, it has help me a lot. I've had it for almost 2 years and I think i will have it for many more.

I haven’t so far, but it’s definitely a attention grabber. my friends like to touch back there .
But I highly recommend, if you have slow growing hair. is to watch out for if the length is to long or not. cause it effects every thing.
And don’t get undercuts if you have fine hair like me. I got it cause I am very active, and the less sweat at the neck area, for me the more I feel comfortable. if you do have thin delicate hair, and decide to do a undercut, please start slow and work your way up. it helps you adjust and it doesn’t ruin your hair that way.
Also after you get the under-shave if you have frizzy hair. it definitely helps you a lot,
But yeah that’s all I have to really say.
I might get my mom to do mine tomorrow.. Ahhhh I'm scared but I really want it so I'll update and tell you if I did it!

That’s why I’m debating as well. I have curly hair but the nape of my neck has almost straight hair, for some reason it didn’t get the memo. And you’d think the curls would get more tangled, but they don’t, it’s the straight hair. Every night I have an almost dread lock in the back of just the nape hair. Idk if it’s the general location and everyone has the issue of nape tangles, but I’m getting so sick of it😂

Im 12 and i want a undercut. I am not nervous or worried i wont like it. My hair is super thick, no unreal thick. I hate it. It takes at least an hour to dry. It is thick but also long i dont cut it very often, ranging from 8-14 months. The normal growth for hair is about half an inch a month but my hair grows at least one and a half. My hair gets in my way constantly because i am unable to put it up because its so heavy. I wanted a side shave but my dad said that it was out of the question. So i thought of this as an alternative since i do not need to put it up that much. I also deal with a toxic person who acts like my friend but judges me for everything. Im scared to get because of them and want to know you alls opinions.

I have long (but not mid-back) curly hair. I was thinking about doing a nape undercut because the hair there has a bad time curling because of the weight. Despite having layers, it’s always looser. Plus I’d love to have one because I wear my hair up for work. Any opinions???
I have the same problem! I see it's been a year, though, so did you ever get the undercut? I'm thinking about it because my underlayer is so thin, broken, and not curly, while the rest of my hair is super curly.
@@jaydenbelisle8765 Heyyy!!! I actually did get the undercut not long after making that post and I loved it! It was right before summer and less hair to worry about (I may have fine hair but a LOT of it lol). Around August I decided I was done with the undercut for now and have been growing it back out. It’s just NOW able to get into a low ponytail. Like she said, if you don’t want it anymore, you’ll have to pay the price of getting it to grow out again 😅. I don’t mind it but I know some people would. Hope that helps!

I've thought about getting a small one at the base of my skull to get some of the hair off my neck in the summer. Since it's coming into fall and winter I've thought about trying one so that if I do hate it it will be easier to hide by keeping my hair down. I can't hardly wear my hair down when it's hot because of how thick it is

itscassiebih yeah, I got one and you definitely need to shave it about once a month. My dad shaves it for me, so it’s definitely helpful. If you don’t have someone to do it for you, it’s not really possible
