The Series S/X when they are well optimized they can do so excellent, in this game the developers could optimize the game a bit more and it would even perform much better, they should add a 40FPS mode for this game at 120hz that be excellent, they could have the same 60fps mode be with a low resolution that is a little bit higher than the performance speed mode and with the same settings, lock at 40FPS instead, and that should be a great BALANCE mode..

try using 1080p on a screen thats 40 inches or bigger, it looks awful, pixel density is bad, 1080p isn't enough these days. maybe on a 24 inch monitor its fine.

@@shayshalevv well game on something smaller. I have my ps5 connected to the tv to play games like tw3, astro bot, last of us 1 and 2, ff7 rebirth but this one, I went with my pc monitor, 4k is meaningless if the scene looks like a slideshow while moving the camera

Glad I got it on xbox rather than ps5. Ps5 is my usual go to but those fps drops are bad enough they drop outside the vrr range on ps5 too. That's going to be extremely choppy

Of course I'm playing this at 5120x1440 at over 100FPS with a 4090 these days, but I don't have that hardware for frames, it's nice being smooth as water based lube, but I actually have it so that I NEVER have to drop below Ultra graphics settings, when I do is when I upgrade, typically takes 4-5 years

While in other games the Series X will be below the Playstation 5, it all depends on the game in question... One is not better than the other, without mastery power is nothing
30fps on consoles seems right. I got an 3080 w/ 5800X3D and need to put it on Medium with DLSS Balanced to get 60-70 fps

I think the fact that a lot of games used to be running on Xbox One pushed the Xbox Series capabilities back because a lot of the time the "next gen" port is simply a more optimized and enhanced version for the previous gen port and consider the previous gen was the regular Xbox One there would be a lot of missed potential especially for the Xbox Series X prompting a lot of games to look and run better on the PS5 despite the pretty decent 20% theoretical increase in graphical horsepower from the PS5 to XSX. Now with Next Gen only games especially the demanding ones this will be apparent, which gives reason for Sony to have a PS5 Pro to stay on top
@beeperbeeperson It removes the hastle of fps and graphics optimization. Most people dont even know what fps means, but Im with you PC is better always. Also console removes stuttering from some Unreal Engine games

There is no locked 60 on SX. On other channels there was much more scenes where it drops often below 60.

Yeah, he didn't pick the CPU intensive scenes where there is the maximum amount of enemies.
Even on PC, my 13600k in the most intense moments can dip to like 65 fps.

Im on series x and i run qaulity its ight,on the performance mode it gets blurry in distances and hords of enemies but on qaulity thats no problem

I don't agree. Developers can't even fully take advantage of this generation. 4 years in and there are still tons of cross generational games. They got the XBSS to run hellblade senua's sacrifice running on UE5, no less.
