I used to push my opinions on everyone else
My friends and I would argue,
it was never quite well
I never stopped to listen,
I never tried to understand
I know it's been a while,
but I had to say I'm sorry for the way

I'm sorry for the times I caused you pain
I was young and foolish,
I thought I knew everything
I didn't realize the harm
I caused until it was too

I secretly hope to be on the same stage with you again someday.
Now that I'm older, I can see how wrong
I was I wish I had been kinder,
I wish I could turn back time, and make things right instead
It's been a long time, but I need to say
I truly regret my past

I want to keep learning and growing to live
