Hi Bill, this is the single best video of this type that we have encountered on RUclips. The herringbone installation seemed intimidating in theory, and will probably still be daunting, but it was made less so with your easy to understand/comprehensive instruction. Thank you for the great content!
Everybody showing straight easy to install rooms. I have 3 rooms they should be connected together. While the room in the middle has an L-shape. I will see how that will work out with herringbone click system.
@@williamfriend2656 is this a special type of flooring system? And how do you account for the extra flooring material needed to lay it this way? Excellent video. Ty.
There are other products on the herringbone where you don’t need to shave off any of the tongues. That’s just stupid as a installer you can’t make any money with this product it would take way to long to install.
Ross, as installers we don't waste any movements, nor add any steps that aren't necessary. That's just foolish. Something is not right here. If you can drop click the butt joints during the field installation you should be able to drop click the end boards as well. 🤔🧐 After further review, l see the simple solution to NOT cutting off locking lip and no need for glue except for the small triangle piece. Good Lord, that is why Europeans are kicking USA butt in these types of installs. The answer can be found on RUclips videos showing the solution. ( Start off better and you're gonna end up much better too.)

You have just saved me hours in cutting so im taking a minute to say thankyou!!
Hi Bill, great video dis help me complete my project
Looks fabulous.
Great video, Thanks for demystifying this system for me :)
Excellent video. Thanks so much.
Where is this floor available?
Would there be a lot of waste when cutting the sides and ends , would 10% extra cover this
Why is there two center lines? And what’s measurements to each of the lines?
One is the center of the room which you need to find the other line which is the install line
What about the gap down the sides no one wants some thing that looks cut short, should take skirting off surely ?
Yes, in a real life installation you would remove the base mouldings.
What color/name is this from XRP?
So there is no need to bond it to the floor - basically a floating floor?
Don't bond it to the floor, it will contract and expand in different temperatures...bonding it will cause issues, floating is the way

how did it work?
@@elektropony Went very good. I seperated the rooms by making a cut between doors but kept the pattern. Was not easy but lots of fun.
Me too. I’m scared.😫😂
1000% do not cut several pieces at once. Rooms are never 100% square!!
When you cut the lip off the pieces for the wall edges, that will definitely open over time even with glue.
If you use the glue as I show, I can assure you these pieces will NOT gap.

Is this available in the US?
