    You’ve convinced me to buy a Transalp as my next bike.

      I am already putting together a 3 page dissertation to my wife on why I should also be doing this. I currently have a WR250R and do way more road riding then I thought I do so why do I need a dual-sport? Maybe I should wait for the "new" DRZ400?

    Interesting. That’s a US spec bike though to start with. Wonder what would happen with a EU version like mine because the Yoshi is an American brand designed on the US version.

    Still would like to bump up the compression a little bit to bring that torque number up, as they say horsepower sales the machine but torque wins the race. Love your videos!

      V-Strom 800 makes a good bit more torque than the Honda.

    • @cliftonsr
      @cliftonsr 4 месяца назад

      @@exothermal.sprocket never seen that anywhere, be nice if that was true, the V-Strom 800 is geared lower though, and I have seen races between these two bikes and the Transalp 750 always wins, but I do hear that the V-Strom has better suspension for off road for taking bigger bumps.

      @exothermal.sprocket 4 месяца назад +1

      @@cliftonsr I've been around a couple of high quality tuning sites with their dyno work on the GSX-8S/R platform, and the V-Strom runs the same powerplant. Fully tuned the 8S/8R are putting down 88-90 hp, and 63-65 ft-lb, depending on dyno.
