Warning. I bought 3 of these hooks. They all leak when you shut the valve off. If they dont leak at first, they will leak after a while so if you are attaching a hose to it... be absolutely sure to proactively do something about the leak. It never leaks with valve in on position but it absolutely leaks at place where hose connects to the barbs on the device.
This is really good to know, thank you! Fortunately I'm using it in such close proximity to the tap that I am just turning it on and off at the wall and not actually using the valve. But I'll pin this comment so others know! 👍👍
I just run the hose straight into the tank...keeping it horizontal, held by a clamp. The water just hits the end of the tank then disperses. KISS principle at work.
Cool. If i had a 3d printer i would probably try it out. I just bought a filter intake and stuck some filter sponge media in there and use it as the output and it does the job.
i am a simple man. i have houseplants. i just use a watering can and a plastic plant pot saucer holding the saucer slightly below the waterline and pouring water onto it with the other hand. i dont even need to be gentle. i can just dump it in and nothing in the tank gets messed up at all because the saucer simply distributes the water across the surface level
I know exactly how this went. “There must be a better solution. Oh wow, there are models available for 3D printing….Oops, I bought a printer” Atleast, that’s how it went in my situation😂😂
🤣🤣🤣 That was very close to how it was about to go down, until my Brother said I could borrow his! Now I'm on a mission to print as much stuff as possible before I give it back.... Lol
Does your mode of engagement demonstrate precision? A tornado is an example of a self organising system its information obtaining increasing complexity to the point of critical mass. at this stage usually complexity will stabilise in this way or lose information to stabilise with a reducing in complexity a collapse or a lower energy state... To interact in a manner that emulates precision! the decerning factor is intent isn't it.... if intention becomes your constraint your level of efficiency increases. because that which you interact with at every point of contact could only ever increase the effectiveness efficiency, legitimacy, value or integrity thus increasing the available information of what your interacting with by adding to those current circumstances with precision. Creative energy forms do no remove information, to an artist complexity is an essential fundamental necessity. The role of an artist is to see in ways others can not to communicate what others cant see. its being the only person in the room able to use intuition and vision to establish a tornado of the available information at the correct moment to establish the self organisation of that information,,,,,,, the most stable state of complexity... .That's what makes a truly great work of art.. Its also why I do not look up to those that do not know better!
I just use a course or regular intake sponge and it does the job without disturbing the plants and sensitive fish ...mthis seems unnecessary having to spend for a bloody 🩸 printer. 1:38 ( hard to get parts)

How can I get my hands on this water dispersion as I don't have a printer. It just looks a winner 🏆

such a cool idea
I have a similar setup. I just use a T Piece on the end.

@@AquariumShed or just send him the designs and have him do it😂 Enders are affordable these days though, so you can always change your mind haha
@ksaandor tbf, I have a sneaky feeling he's not too bothered about having it back! 🤞🤞
