I see no reason to have this episode, or any part thereof banned from television. This was made several years before 9/11 and the storyline has nothing to do with terrorism. If it's banned simply because of the twin towers being shown then ask yourself: Do we eliminate WW II from our textbooks because of what happened? Do we boycott James Cameron's Titanic because 1500 people died on the ship? History happens. Live on and learn. I say show the episode!
Thanx 4 uploading this! It wuz one of my fav episodes, especially the klav kalash part, but i think youtube removed some that relates to this....but anyway thanx!
It is baffling why this is not shown any more, to a point. What happened on 9/11 was appalling, indeed seeing the towers having airliners crashing into them, subsequently seeing the towers imploding onto their own foundations haunted my nightmares for years afterwards, but in a sense this episode (comedy exaggeration of mishaps aside) is a reflection of life. Everyone has bad experiences somewhere and they are reluctant to go back to where they had those experiences. If they wrote another episode that depicts London in a negative light, even as a Londoner myself, I really wouldn't care. Not everyone enjoys the big city experience, wherever it is
my best friend in high school and I would record the Simpsons on "Tape" we would rewind the part where Homer bites the bolts of the car boot (over and over ) we loved that noise. we were probably stoned. hHa
This episode is so goddamn underrated. I personally believe that it's a classic, but nobody else believes that because it features two buildings that have been destroyed!? Other than maybe one line, the understandbly offensive "They put all the jerks in tower 1", there's nothing really offensive about it. And there's probably so many old shows/movies that feature the Twin Towers left uncensored still being shown on television, so why censor this?

I read on an article that it was banned because Homer was putting a bad reputation on people near the WTC.
I see. Still kinda silly though lol Seth McFarlane has done much worse haha
Yeah.
Actually this episode was made in 97.
+David Aikman it's disrespectful to those that lost their lives on that fateful day.

It's making a joke of, and by doing so absolving itself of, the cliche nature of its own satire by inflating it to outrageous proportions.

They fine you for parking in New York but people piss in the subway and it seems to be A-ok. He would have gotten away with it

Trend101Warrior I live in the UK and haven't seen it on TV since before 9/11
They just banned it for a while, until the 9/11 paranoia had died down
seeing Homer sitting bored at 1:36 cracks me up every time 😂😂
