He recited it beautifully and emotionally. I am overwhelmed with gratitude for passing on Refaat's message. He worked hard to liberate Palestine and although he would not witness that day, he has given hope to Palestinians. The once silent cause is echoed across the world.
He will witness it from the afterlife my friend. This cause is too great, too sacred for God not to step in and grant comfort & jubilation to His martyrs.
No matter how many times I have heard this poem recited or have recited myself, I am left broken with heart-rending pain. May you rest in peace amongst the angels Refaat Alareer. ❤

Beautiful soul in jannah Ameen

An excellent Tribute. Thank you Sir.
We must live to tell his story, to tell their story... to tell it to our children and families, to every person willing to listen and to act, to the whole world and to ourwelves not to forget our duty to spread the word and tell the story of Palestine against Barbary. AND PLEASE EVERYONE: Refaat ALAREER has a RUclips channel where he used to publish his lectures about English Literature at the University of Gaza... Don't let this channel disappear, watch his content and share it... Another effective way to tell HIS story!!!!!!

Israel is erasing Gaza and its people. We must tell their stories
And to make a white kite with a long tail flying high like an angel bringing hope to a child. Free Palestine!
Palestinians are the flowers of the earth. This poet was a kind, beautiful man. Thank you, Brian Cox.
They thought they could bury them, they didn't realise they were seeds...
Oh my. Dear God. My heart just broke into a million pieces. 🤲❤️🇵🇸
Hearts were made to do this. It will heal.
@@4imagesmore Yes. It always does. Just a bigger scar to join all the smaller ones. A very humbling poignant experience in the shadow of this much-loved gentle man's final words of hope to the world.
Brian, my the Lord bless you and your family colonel Jamal Baluchi 🙏 may the Lord also bless Ireland 🇮🇪 Scotland 🏴 Scottish with its people hope is a beautiful word Gaza still lives will said
Thanks sir for raising the voice for Plastinians
Thank you for doing this Brian.
Too sad😢😢. May there be peace for the Palestinians ❤🇵🇸. It is so needed by the children, babies, orphans who are mentally scared and traumatised for the rest of their lives. No child should endure this carnage & loss💔💔😭🇵🇸
All scottish people are so good as human beings. ❤
Thank you Brian Cox. You’re a superb actor. But more than that - a man with such a good heart.
A wonderful tribute to Refaat Alareer.
Beautiful, moving...
Thank you, 🕊️🇵🇸
This is so powerful. Thank you Brian. You've not been cowed into silence like so many other of your fellow professionals.
Beautifully read Mr Cox. Peace, love and solidarity from Scotland.
I loved that poem R.I.P Refaat Alareer. Free Palestine.😁🖤🤍💚❤️
The loss of Refaat Alareer is a huge loss for Palestinian people and for humanity. He was kind, he was brave, beautiful, soulful. He will never die, but it wasn't meant to be this way. He had family, he had students, he had his Palestinian people who needed him. Who did it, did a huge crime, together with 9000 crimes killing innocent children of Gaza. Israel completely lost its place in the civilization we were tending to. They talk about the Bible, and we all know how the Bible is conceptualized; the measures of the Old Testament are not even in concordance with the moral standards of the contemporary world. They must be looked at as a part of historical evolution. I am saying it as a Christian in my religious family roots.
Dear Refaat, losing you we feel terrible pain. We will continue your path as best as we are able to. And thank you Mr. Cox for this profound interpretation. God bless you and all good people around the Globe. Save the children of Gaza, permanent ceasefire right now is crucially NEEDED. - from Croatia, Europe 🌹🌹🥀🥀🥀🥀💔💔❤🩹❤🩹❤💘💓💞
Beautiful poem and beautifully read. He will live in hearts of not only Palestinians but all over!
You brought tears to my eyes, you are a living soul not a machine like those who have no heart but cold stones in their bodies who see no dead, hear no cry and feel no pain of the dying children.
Why would i call them human ?
If they have no ❤️
Thank you sir, only the brave ones stand with Gaza today…
Thank you so much for uploading this and also to Mr.cox
That made my cry.
Beautifully read, beautiful poem. Rest in Eternal Peace Refaat Alareer.

InShaAllah Palestinians will b blessed freedom soon Ameen YaAllah ❤️🩹🤲🇵🇸🆓😭
May God bless Brian Cox and May God bless the Irish and Scottish people for their humanity and courage!
This actor is from my hometown of Dundee, Scotland.
We, the vast majority of the Scots and Irish, have long stood with Palestine. Now the whole world is waking up
Much respect to the Irish and Scottish people. And eternal Shame on the German government
And i appricate all of you!!! When i worked at Intel, a zionistic multimillion chip company, the only friend i could make there was with an scottish guy named Cameron. He was the only one not looking at me like the others and i straight up realized that, as all the managers all the Israeli guys except one who was into his jewish religion and this scottish dude
God bless the humans that still are
Free Palestine 😎 free tout le monde ☝️
Beautiful words for the living soul who never bid farewell, all our heart with Palestine...❤️🙏
Yep bunch of big antisemites the Scot’s and Irish
Thank you so much Mr. Cox for standing up for justice!

Thanks for the recommendation.
Hearing this coming from the actor who played Logan Roy is crazy but ohhhh so beautiful! Bless you Mr. Cox! Victory & Freedom to the people of Palestine 🇵🇸❤
Yikes!
Sounds like I spoke too late.
I cried hearing the poem from him, interestingly, I knew this actor just as Logan Roy and I think this character would side with Israel 😅
@@emanalshareef1843 Thankfully he is choosing to stand on the right side of history😇
Guess you don't know much about him?
Let alone hearing of the "#Artists4Ceasefire" open-letter by US-based subsidiaries of civil-society aid NGOs, Mr "@@emanalshareef1843"?
So heartbreaking. Free Palestine ❤❤
Always a fan of Brian Cox. To see him read this poem written by a Palestinian poet who has been targeted and murdered by Israel is heartbreaking. I am from a tropical Asian country, but the struggle resonates with our history when we were also under colonization. It took us 300 years to rise up and gain our independence. To see a freer Palestine, without these hostilities from Israel and to see Palestinians being treated with dignity, justice, and respect that the rest of us enjoys is what I'm looking forward to. 🇵🇸
I would have liked to have seen one of politicians in Parliament today at PMQs reading out that poem at the same time scrutinizing closely the faces of both Sunak and Starmer to see if either of them has a vestige of humanity left, or whether both of them has sold their souls to the military industrial complex killing machine for profit.
I pray we live long enough to see those days
@@reverseflashes I am hopeful. If there's something we should learn about history of colonization, it's that tyrants never win. It's an unsustainable way to exist.

Beautiful sir. There is no humanity with Israel. Shame on you
This poem was read with so much emotion that I could not hold back my tears!! Thank you Sir for your humanity, thank you for the poet and all the victims of this genocide!!😢
Please.
What a beautiful, but also sad poem. My heart is with the innocent people of Palestine
Thank you Brian Cox for reading his poem to the world ❤

"Tears Are Not Enough"
As every day goes by
How can we close our eyes
Until we open up our hearts
We can learn to share
And show how much we care
Right from the moment that we start
Seems like overnight
We see the world in a different light
Somehow our innocence is lost
How can we look away
'Cause every single day
We've got to help at any cost
We can bridge the distance
Only we can make the difference
Don't ya know that tears are not enough
If we can pull together
We could change the world forever
Heaven knows that tears are not enough
It's up to me and you
To make the dream come true
It's time to take our message everywhere
C'est l'amour qui nous rassemble
D'ici ?l'autre bout du monde
Let's show them Canada still cares
You know that we'll be there
If we should try together you and I
Maybe we could understand the reasons why
If we take a stand every woman, child and man
We can make it work for God's sake lend a hand
Moving..

What beautiful lines!
A beautiful poem, read by a truly great actor, feeling deeply at heart.

Good man Cox.
And a sad loss of the gentle poet.
👍
Breathtaking.
Thanks Mr Cox for reading that poem
Powerful..Brian Cox is sn excellent narrator ❤
Talented poet
Tragic loss
I cried. A good man who fought with his pen rather than weapons. A man who said, all the weapon I have left is my marker, and no matter what happens I will throw it to the soldiers if they raid my house... this is courage. This is belief in another level. My Brother I wish you will be granted Jannah in the eternety. Free Palestine from those Monsters...
Rest in power Refaat 🕊️❤
Wow, poetry has such power in these times RIP Refaat. Palestine must be free...
Thank you brian .you recited very emotionally and beautifully. Excellent tribute 👏. God bless you 🙏.
Beautifully recited♥️

May Allah grant our brother and all brothers and sisters and all the innocents the highest place in heaven! Aameen!
It's people like you, who think some imaginary fantasy-land holds a hierarchical place for them because they are special, that cause these wars.
We live in Sickening and Heart Wrenching times. Hell must be empty and World Peace will never exist as long as Zionism and it’s defenders do. RIP Refaat.😢
RIP, Shahid lives forever. Enemies can never truly bring them down.
😥❤❤🇯🇴Dear Refaat rest in peace, the world recognizes you and loves you
