Bob Sheets is one of the great magicians who teach the shell game. I learned my techniques from The School for Scoundrels. Pop Haydn, who founded it, first got me interested in the game. Bob is a well respected member of that group.
This is very easy... The shell has a little hole at the back of it, and the pea is rubber. So when you place the pea inside the shell and roll it forwards, then the pea comes out of the hole. And then the magician takes the pea without nobody noticing and places it in the back of another shell. and when the magician has placed the pea behind the shell and roll the shell backwards, then the pea squeezes through the little hole. The shells costs 700 dollars + shipping.
