Game looks fun, as expected for a Kunio-kun game.
Also that opening at the beginning seems like the perfect reveal trailer for Kunio if he were to be a playable character in Smash Bros.

You just got me imagining an awesome scene, where Kunio opens his locker, sees the invitation, crushes it and lets it fall to the floor as he runs off. Riki notices this and examines the paper, realizes Kunio's been invited to Smash Bros. and runs off after him, knowing that he needs his invitation to get in. "Kunio-kun and Riki are here!" Cue the music, which is the fanfare that plays on the title screen of River City Ransom, followed by the music that plays during gameplay as they show off Kunio's moveset. Riki would be an echo fighter, naturally.
