So fun fact, the reason that Christmas is celebrated on the 25th is what Brian said. You wouldn't celebrate the sun on the shortest day of the year, you'd celebrate it after you know it's coming back. The tree was to represent fertility and the candles represent the new light that life brings.

Brian is both right and wrong about Pagan Christmas. Yes the date was changed to match up with Pagan celebrations, but it was with Germanic Yule and Roman Saturnalia, which is where we get a lot of the customs like Christmas trees, garlands, mistletoe, roast ham, and the general vibe of family, togetherness, frivolity and fun. even Santa takes a lot of inspiration from Odin.

I think the problem is that people confuse paganism with one all encompassing religion when in reality pagan was used mainly for any non Abrahamic religions for a time. More recently though paganism has been more linked to Scandinavia through pop culture with the popularity of "vikings" in the current age instead of realising Scandinavian paganism isn't the only paganism.

I agree zombies will never be the same. I think they had it the best when the characters were just funny characters and there wasnt even this long convoluded multiverse timeline to worry about. The characters voices were simply a great addition to you enjoying playing the game mode. The addition of the story line gimmick started all the easter egg pro gamer shit that made the gameplay go from being a horde survival mode to being like a zombie campaign mode. Rather than enriching the experience they became the focus of the experience rather than the gameplay.
the thing is that you can only do so much with just hordes over and over, and they felt like they needed to innovate. Most of the maps you can just play and train without needing to do much anyways. If you can turn on three teleporters for the power you can find 3 parts for a wonder weapon. there’s a reason the zombie player base kept growing as the new, more complex games came out. The gameplay was still at the core, but there was more to enjoy if you wanted to.
now the new zombies like mw2 and vanguard i can agree with cuz it’s completely different but bo3 bo4 and especially the gameplay of cold war still keep the soul of the original
@@isiticy8575 they do somewhat. There are some maps I can get behind in those games it just takes a while to get used to them. I simply dont like having to do all these tasks to progress through the maps. It started in bo1 with maps like shangri la's temple for pack and the moon having to stop the machines from breaking the ceiling and letting air out among others. I prefer to turn on the power,open any doors I want opened, get the weapons and perks I want, and kill some nazi zombie B*tches.
With the more advanced easter eggs and story developement came more tasks to do. Having hazards like the ice or water slow you down in some maps wasnt an issue to me. Afterall stamina was made to help with those types of things by clearing the gap between you and the zombies. Phd flopper was made to let you utilize explosive weaponry safely and with a fun little gimmick. Having to look up and remember how to upgrade each staff after making them in bo2 origins became a problem. Same with the easter eggs in bo2 and on. I needed to follow a guide. It simply was more work in order to enjoy the experience which sucked. Having to gather all the parts in some maps wasnt an issue once you know where they spawn. Its just that there are so many different maps each with 3 parts usually for each creation. It takes too much of my time and then I have to remember where to gather them all. In waw zombies the maps were fairly easy to get used to. You could load up a the map and just learn how to play it no problem. I also like to make my own kind of challenges for myself like wall guns only or survive in this corner for 20 rounds or something. We had more freedom of choice in the older maps. It does get repetitive playing the same maps or going on for what feels like an eternity if your good enough. Thats fine though since I dont want to be some bum living on my xbox 24/7. I got work to go to. I got meals to eat. I want to enjoy other forms of entertainment or other games as well. I may enjoy zombies but it isnt my life. Im not some streamer trying to make a living off it.

I would much rather make the experience myself out of the gameplay than have them make it for me. If you think it got repetitive and boring than thats your que to stop and find something else to do. Even if its just going to multiplayer or campaign or something. Wasting hours on end playing cod zombies for days non stop only turns you into a couch potato. It rots your brain and isnt healthy. Go out and be social some. I personally had more fun playing zombies with friends than solo or with randos who may or may not troll. Take a break and live your life some. The other guys are why video gamers get the stereotype of looking like fat men living in their moms basement.

That passage refers to the practice of Heathens who used to make idols out of Gold etc. they would shape these materials into false gods. Similarly the material wood would be carved into idols. So it may read as a Christmas Tree to a literal interpretation with a modern view however the context of the whole passage refers to purely idolatry. And a simple tree that isn’t worshipped or carved into any false god isn’t idolatry. And at a quick google search you can find this out. Along with the fact that the earliest accounts of the first Christmas Tree as we know it only came about in the 16th Century and was from Christianity.

The funny thing is for all that people try and connect the celebration of Christmas to paganism many of the actual modern customs we associate with Christmas, and that people point to as having pagan roots, didn’t come about in the holiday until centuries after Paganism in Europe was largely dead.
And they also forgot that there used to be two calendars too. The gregorian calendar and the pagan calendar, some pagans has 13 months per year and some have 6 months that has 59 days.
It’s like people trying to say that Easter comes from a pagan holiday based on the name when in reality Easter is only the English name for the holiday, with some Germanic languages using a cognate, and the word itself just means eastern. In most languages is called Pascha which means passover.

So it must have been a warm evening for the shepherd and the flocks to be out on the field during the night, therefore it was not winter when the news of Jesus coming to earth arrived.

This tells us when the child (Jesus) Was being born, a voice was heard, the angel telling her the date palm which you are under, shake the palm leaves and it will lead to FRESH RIPE DATES BEING DROPPED

So to conclude, both the bible and the quran agree it was midsummer when Jesus was born
