@@pedropig519 There’s also such thing as torture not being reserved for awful people because the perspective “eye for an eye” is outdated and backwards anyway. This isn’t mentioning the people that were wrongfully detained without trial for years. If a government is so careless to throw people in prison with no evidence, god knows we aren’t doing something right as a country.

I don't remember it being a Prison before 9/11, it was just an American Naval Base and had been since before Castro. In the mid nineties it was used to keep and process Cuban Migrants that wanted to come to the US.
I worked in Guantanamo for 9 months and also worked at a state pen in US for 4.5 years. I can tell you that inmates and guards in Guantanamo are so much more laid back and relaxed comparing to a state pen. It’s was so chilled i volunteered to deploy there again

that eye for an eye judgement is flawed in modern eyes. i was once blinded by rage & ignorance of a now corrupt president in 2016 over the many extrajudicial killings of "Drug Pushers" who were poor despite just simple sell of weed got shot. you and me are indeed in grief or in anger of the tragedy of 9/11, but this thing is all for naught and im wholly condemn and disgusted of things like torture. i belive in professional FBI interrogators & Lawyers to prosecuters who didi years to carry on proper law even if defendant is guilty or not. still they got the right to trial and hearing. than over the court of the mad mob

@@bh1567 Military on patrol? Which country will act like this next? Maybe China? Why should the others have fewer rights? Because they are weaker? Soldiers take prisoners of war, but they don't kidnap people (at most, the secret service does that). The police arrest people briefly and the court judges what has to happen.
Small stuff we handed them over to iraqi police. Larger stuff they went to gitmo. I'd choose gitmo over the iraqi system if I had a choice.

I was as shocked and saddened as any sentient human being by this kind of annihilation, although it doesn't even remotely come close to the things Russia is doing to Ukraine or China is doing to the Uighurs or in Tibet.
I think in retrospect it would have been best to take them out of the fight in a way that would not have made them martyrs with the local government. In the end, they are just using the faith as a cover for their own selfish motives.
