Love the hero but he seems really OP. As a tank player I can't say I look forward to season 2. I fear that I will be forced to pick Ramattra every game because not doing so would be throwing. A significant decrease to the radius of both of the ult and a very punishing cooldown on ravenous vortex (which it might already be, we dont know) and I think he will be a good addition to the roster.
I don't think he will be as bad as everyone thinks. He only has 450 health in normal mode and 600 in his beef boi mode. I main Orisa on tank and I feel he will lose the attrition battle.
I'm mostly excited because with Ramattra having such a presence on the battlefield it might mean that Wrecking Ball finally gets to shine to contest him as other current meta heroes can't. Think about it: Wrecking Ball can hop in and out of battle in a flash, baiting Ramattra's cooldowns, which as i can see is a thing he heavily relies on for value. Not only that, Hammond also uses adaptive shields instead of barriers, which get around Ramattra's barrier bypassing punches, and lastly, Wrecking Ball can knock him out of position far from teammates to mess him up completely during Nemesis Form or Annihilation. Can't wait for my boy Hammond to finally see some use.
Finally shield pierce, I thought we would have gotten that with the rail gun (Massively missed opportunity, just make it deal 50% less damage or something when it goes through a shield)
What I think about Rammattra’s abilities 1.It’s a DVA with Moira suck ,long range 2.Sigmas Shield 3. Zenyatta big brother 3.1. Doomfist’s block 4. roadhog’s hook but with no hook that drags and slows 5. Moira‘s sucking in area mode Here’s my opinion hope it makes sense
I’m excited for his interaction between robotic hero’s.Both interactions at beginning of games and when he kills a robot hero like bastion or zenyatta.
This is off topic but can we change Cassidy (Mcree) grenade into a flash grenade that blinds and slows depending on distance from the explosion (so it may not always be a full blind if you ain't point blank). You can let him keep a grenade but lower its damage, don't let it stick, and make it explode in the air in front of him. Also change junkrat.

This guy, just like all the other heroes, seems super cool. Definitely gonna grind the battle pass to unlock him. I like his nemesis form, when me and my friends watched the gameplay trailer we thought that the nemesis form was his ultimate, but apparently it's his weird Reaper ultimate type thing.
I'd imagine that neither one would hate eachother but they'd question eachother on their methods when it comes to the fight for Omnics to be accepted, I'm also hoping there is a mention or a shared remembrance about Mondatta, their mentor.
For as long as I've been playing Overwatch, I have always been a Zenyatta main. Zenyatta was pretty much my best hero, seeing the highest win percent and the highest play time, something about his character design and playstyle really spoke to me. Now I'm mostly a support main, I play tank as a secondary. No tank has really spoken to me, I've played year one Orisa a lot, even got a golden gun, I love playing Sigma every so often, and my favorite DPS turned into a tank Doomfist that I very much enjoy. Rammattra has each and every bit of my attention, gameplay wise he seems right up my alley, Rammattra chooses when he wants his team to push. I love the idea of front lining as Rammattra and just biding my time until someone on my team gets a pick, then rushing in there Nemesis form to disrupt and clean up. I hope I take to him well, but I have faith that I will. I might even come out of competitive retirement to get a golden gun for him.
Yeah, as a typically Doomfist main, Ramattra is gonna be a much better character, and both seem to synergize well with Brig which helps because you all are typically really nice people
This heroes play style is gonna be VERY unique, not a dive tank but not poke, not great with rush? Maybe a lucio comp is his best fit but it’ll be interesting to see the new meta he makes

Agreed
I hope they make more abilities like his block. Not just a cool down but decision making ok and off in battle. Makes the hero flow a lot more vs someone like Ana, when she uses her cool downs, she has nothing but her primary. Very cool and looking forward to him
Ramattra's gameplay looks like so much fun, I can't wait!

Ramattra: "Did you ever hear the tragedy of Doomfist the Unblockful"
*Doomfist has left the channel*
This definitely gives me Sigma vibes. The fact that it only takes four shots from pummel to kill a squishy like how you need four hyperspheres to kill a squishy.
Not just any squishy. 200 health squishies. And ive counted the amount of time it took to kill roadhog. Slightly less than 7 seconds. The fists have more than 100 damage per second.
@@szarekhthesilentking7043 it should be 60 damage per punch.
It took 12 punches to kill Roadhog, all within say 7 seconds. 12 x 60 = 720 damage every 7 seconds. Probably 120+ dps in nemesis form........that goes through shields.
This will be fun :)
@@balorthedreamer6792
I've counted his void accelerator on the hog and its dps isn't that much different either for something with no damage falloff, _and_ that's not counting headshots.
I knew from the start that I would love Ramattra. He’s basically just Sigma (who I already loved) but with even more complexity and a melee form, and I am very into melee heroes.
hes not actually melee from what ive seen, he punches proyectiles,
unless they are suuuuper short range, which i doubt
Tbh the reason sigma is so much fun (imo) is his super satisfying primary fires. Rammatra's staff seems very lame in comparison. Rock also looks more fun than the other ability same for ult and barrier. However in nemesis form he's probably more fun. If you can block big dmg and punch the enemy team
@@magythemage they seem to have a relatively small range. When they show off the piercing aspect it only seems to go 10-15 meters. Still a lot but not insane.
His shield looks familiar but not as weak as Sigma's. Now, what else is similar to Sigma abilities?
the only similarity with sigma is the size of his shield
I can't wait to play with Ramattra, it's totally my type of character apart from that I'm a main tank, thank you very much Overwatch for bringing a beautiful character with a great background and beautiful.❤️
Bro the main / flex divide isn't even a thing anymore
There's no such thing as a main tank anymore my guy.
Us tank players are just gonna have to adapt.
Goodluck trying to play as him. The queue times will probably be long
@@jaber5345 main- and off-tank but ye as theres only one tank I think most people still refer to it as its a very different palystyle. Id consider Rammatra as somwhat in the middle of main and off tanks similar to sigma at launch if I had to put him into a category.

being a Mercy main is so fun it makes me want to live life soooo much
man i was thinking the exact same thing, mercy is going to join brig with a negative usage rate.
Bro wut
Don't play mercy then?
Sarcasm
Mercy will be extremely strong with this tank. Ana too. Mercy has always been strong... Even after nerfs she truly is a good healer. However people don't want to play a healer. They want a DPS that can heal...
For real why do they hate mercy so much?!
That hot is the polar opposite to Zenyatta.
Zen emits a light that heals and he can’t fight.
Ram emits a darkness that hurts and he can still fight.
His VA voices my favorite character from League of Legends, and the voice lines were AMAZING. I'm really hoping we get that here with Ramattra.
He also voices Godrick the Grafted from Elden Ring.
It'd be hilarious if he said something along the lines of "I command thee KNEEL!" when bringing enemies to the ground with that one ability.
who does he voice in league?

Wow, 2 videos today, I’m all for it!
It was one video split up
@@AndreOnana1 Still, it’s fun to have different videos to watch
So Viktor from League of Legends meets OverWatch. and he’s a tank. PERFECT
Awesome update. This is the kind of content I want to see from the channel.
Ramattra looks amazing! I'm very curious if his skills will change somewhat in PVE next year, since I'm almost certain he will be some kind of a boss.
If you think Blizzard knows wtf they're doing with PvE, you are putting way too much trust into them lol.
I think if he is going to be some boss or playable in PvE, then his skills will be different. If you look to some released videos from PvE, you can see that every hero have their different skills than in PvP games.
@@busydarthnooox8290 Not sure if he's ever gonna be playable in PvE. Like, what kind of mission are you supposed to do as Null Sector? Commit war crimes against the civilian population?
@@darthplagueis13 they said that there's another mode in the PvE called hero missions in which you can play as any hero in modified pre existing PvP maps to level them up AND those missions arent canon (similar to the PvP) so Ramattra in those missions could fight against null sector cuz those missions only exist to make you level up any hero you want since i assume not all heroes are gonna be playable in the story missions
think of the story missions as a much much better and replayable archives event missions
hero missions are basically like the all heroes version of the archives event missions
@@onceuponagoat2316 I mean, they have a pretty fantastic history with PvE. WoW, Diablo, etc.
Qui Fang is so nice i hope he is doing great with all the other new heroes :D
I really liked the format of this presentation.Concise and informative with good visuals.
No filler, just good info.
The only thing I don't get is the "Bonus damage on headshots" like isn't that what headshots do already? I give Kiriko a half pass since she does have a projectile that requires good aim past a certain distance, but I can absolutely see Ram just block hallways/spawns/chokes just by firing his staff primary at head level and hoping someone peeks it. I don't see how or why it needs something past the normal headshot modifier
I main Orisa on tank and I feel he will lose the attrition battle.
i honestly dont know how you could think that
Can't wait until the release!
"This is not cruelty, this is justice."
These indepth looks are always great, especially after the first impressions from a gameplay trailer. Can't wait to try him out for sure.
Can't wait to have to grind for weeks to get the ability to play him
i can't wait to play overwatch for 3 weeks to play Ramattra
I'm mostly excited because with Ramattra having such a presence on the battlefield it might mean that Wrecking Ball finally gets to shine to contest him as other current meta heroes can't.
Think about it:
Wrecking Ball can hop in and out of battle in a flash, baiting Ramattra's cooldowns, which as i can see is a thing he heavily relies on for value.
Big if true. I'm very excited to see if this pans out!
Really want to see Ramattra evolve as the game goes forward
Finally shield pierce, I thought we would have gotten that with the rail gun (Massively missed opportunity, just make it deal 50% less damage or something when it goes through a shield)
What I think about Rammattra’s abilities
1.It’s a DVA with Moira suck ,long range
2.Sigmas Shield
3. Zenyatta big brother
3.1. Doomfist’s block
4. roadhog’s hook but with no hook that drags and slows
5. Moira‘s sucking in area mode
Here’s my opinion hope it makes sense
I hope he does more damage the closer he is when in nemesis form, like an actual punch. 😉
imagine 2 ramattra ults used at once its never ending
I’m excited for his interaction between robotic hero’s.Both interactions at beginning of games and when he kills a robot hero like bastion or zenyatta.
Can't wait for ramattra
This is off topic but can we change Cassidy (Mcree) grenade into a flash grenade that blinds and slows depending on distance from the explosion (so it may not always be a full blind if you ain't point blank). You can let him keep a grenade but lower its damage, don't let it stick, and make it explode in the air in front of him. Also change junkrat.
ramattra is 100% coming out broken af so they get those battlepass sales
Might be a good substitute for Zen and moira mains all that's left is seeing if they change the abilitys at all other than that I'm super excited to unlock this new tank
Huh? What're you talking about substitute?
This guy is litterally going to be so OP. I mean look how he just pummels through enimies!
Not even fun. theres no way a dps is gonna be able to take him out... not even bastion could take out his shield... so dumb.

The infinite ultimate seems kinda busted unless it's VERY little damage.
The complexity compared to other tanks (or maybe because I got used to them) is super hype!

I wonder what kind of interaction Ramattra and Zenyatta would have
I'd imagine that neither one would hate eachother but they'd question eachother on their methods when it comes to the fight for Omnics to be accepted, I'm also hoping there is a mention or a shared remembrance about Mondatta, their mentor.
nobody going to talk about the background of the guy speaking? new map teaser?
that reload animation is chef's kiss
This 5-part dev update is interesting to say the least. Keep 'em coming! Kudos to team T4!
Do the actual fists in nemesis form do more damage if you hit directly?
His ULT could be a menace in the final point in Deliver the Payload..
i was on the edge of my seat waiting for the "And don't forget the premium battlepass :D" at the end
Would love to play the pve mode that was promised years ago still. Bet a ton of players are waiting on it
As a Brigitte lover, this guys is gonna be fun to have on a team
Yeah, as a typically Doomfist main, Ramattra is gonna be a much better character, and both seem to synergize well with Brig which helps because you all are typically really nice people
yeah but ram is going to melt her…
