In Lesson 2, your favorite instructors Edwin and Erika Rivera teach foundational New York style salsa steps like the Cross Body Lead, Open Break and Regular Turn. They inspire dancers of all levels to add some flare to their moves. Enjoy getting some at-home exercise while listening to the hugely popular salsa hit from the 1970s, “Tú Loco Loco y Yo Tranquilo” by Roberto Roena. The legendary Puerto Rican bandleader, percussionist, was also a longtime Fania All-Stars band member! This cheeky, mid-tempo track (which essentially translates to “You’re crazy crazy and I’m calm”), appears on 1970’s Roberto Roena y Su Apollo Sound Vol. 1 album-the first of many influential releases from Roena’s talented ensemble.
