Nice informative video. I just ordered one of these Caldwell Rock BR front rest that comes with the rear Caldwell bag included from a major distributor on sale for the unbelievable price of $99.99! I am going to use it for punching paper targets with a decent .22lr at the range and since this is just recreational and not any type of competition use I do not want to tie up major dollars in one of the higher end bench rest on the market.
Hi Bill! Wow, nice price there! Agree that for just punching targets or even getting a somewhat more stable position than a bipod and rear bag, this is a great option. Thanks for watching my friend!
Hi George! Thanks for the kind words and for watching my friend! It's a good price for something that helps you validate your zero and when truing your DOPE at distance. Hope the Savings and Loan is doing well in Bedford Falls!
Thanks for the great video, Nice to see every thing done right, just got done watching one where he had it backwards. Level bubble at the front away from the shooter.
Thank you for this beautiful, informative video. Explained very well, well done. With you trying Fire Control, I'm hesitating between Rock Brand or fire control. Me too, it's just to test.
Hi Gaetanvallee! Sorry for the late reply, I didn't see this last month for some reason. I think it depends on what you're going to use it for. For me, just getting a bit steadier for truing my DOPE, the BR works great. If you're going to be a bit more serious, then I think the Fire Control is a great choice. Thanks for watching my friend!
I got one, its a great deal for a hundred bucks plus shipping . Is it a $2000 rest? nope. The bags are pretty lame… so you prolly will want to replace them. Treat it well read the directions. For the price it’s really great. All my adjustments were smooth. I’m pretty happy and pleasantly surprised how nice it is. Got mine from Midway 99.99 and 20 bicks shipping.
Hi agunther08! I agree, great value for what you get. I just needed something to provide me a somewhat stable position while zeroing my scopes, and this works great. I don't shoot F-class or benchrest so didn't need to spend a ton of money as you said. Glad it's working out for you and thanks for watching my friend!
Hi Ray! Thanks for the kind words! I was breaking in the barrel, so cleaning after every 3 - 5 rounds, so I just leave the cheek rest off during that period. Thanks for watching my friend!
Hi T C! The one thing I noticed when I reviewed the footage was that on some of the shots, my POA shifted after the shot to the left...That's because I didn't have the rear bag properly aligned with the front rest. I should have mentioned that in the video but just plain forgot! Thanks as usual for watching my friend!
Hi Boomer! I don't use it enough to put that much wear on it, but all good so far. If I was going to use it more frequently I'd probably get a better bag. Thanks for watching my friend!
Hi Randy! Nah, trust me, I'm not rich. If you watch my other videos, I sell stuff to buy stuff. I have one competition centerfire and one competition 22 LR. Many of these other guys have 3 - 5 of each...Don't know where they got THEIR money tree from, but I'd sure like to find that nursery! Hey thanks for watching my friend!

I have the Rock Jr. Works but might need to upgrade. I like the added features of the BR. Good review.
Thanks Tallyman15! Yeah, for a less expensive front rest I am really liking this one! Thanks again for watching my friend!
This is an excellent video. Thank you for sharing.
Thank YOU for watching Mauro!
Great info.. I’m new to shooting, I think something like this can help me tremendously!

Thank you LEGASPI! And thanks for watching my friend!

Hi GG! For what I need it for it really does do a good job. Thanks for watching my friend!

Another great review video. Thanks! Out of curiosity, why did you remove your cheekrest when shooting?

I have the same one, for the same reason.
8:03 I had not tried the windage adjustments. I'll check that out when shooting this weekend.

Any issues with the front bag tearing or coming apart?

I appreciate seeing a rich guy review a common-man product
Doesn't strike me as a rich guy. Just a guy that has a hobby he enjoys and isn't afraid to buy a product to help him achieve his goals.
