      It's fine, if you've heard ALL of the recordings in existence.
      Many times I read, eg. the best song ever. The greatest band ever. The most sublime rendition ever made.
      Of course, these things COULD be true. I'm not denying that they are.
      But I suspect that most people have only heard a few of the many variations. In which case, they should say, "I like this version VERY much indeed!". Rather than, "One of the finest recordings in existence". Or, The best recording ever. Just my observation. Just say that you like it. That's enough. @@ninjaassassin27

    Stunningly beautiful piece, by an undoubted genius. Very nicely sung, but obviously better - and truer to the original forces for whom it was written - with a boys and men cathedral choir than with soprano vibrato.
