I don't think the Jolly Roger Bay theme was the best choice for this kind of level, it's not really all that fitting. That aside, this is an amazingly crafted level!!
@@CutWat To be honest, I didn't really know what kind of track to use for this stage after completing it, but a friend had made a nice remix of Jolly Roger Bay and I figured it sounded "icy" enough, so I asked him to also send a "calm" variation to give the level some progression. It's not the best choice I'm sure, but I think it sets the tone well enough & lends a nice weight to the outside segment.
Most official levels try to balance fun and tedious. imo this level looks a bit tedious; not that it’s not good, it just would never pass official development because it lacks that balance. Imagine an entire game with levels just like this, it would be a nightmare. A once off here and there is great though
This level is cool, but there’s too much going on at the start. I feel like the ideas evolved too quickly, and the pacing was a bit slow at times. Not a bad level, just poorly paced.
Nintendo wrote all the code, made the whole structure of the game, made the ideas, made the concepts, made the sprites, made the models and much more. The fanbase can simply use an editor that already has all the assets pre-built in it.
@@kun4i_135 That's true, there wouldn't be any custom stages if it weren't for the game itself attracting fans to it in the first place. However, don't discredit the fanbase too much either; we can add new custom objects/systems to the game, as well as new assets, music, etc. (like the tilesets used in this stage, for example).
I feel like it's a bit repetitive in the aspect of having to wait for the bombs to appear/explode and the Spikes' balls having to hit something, making it a bit tedious to play, but I think the design is really nice.
I was surprised you didn’t make a spike pun in the name considering the amount of Spike enemies and actual like pokey spikes Pretty good looking level though, very nice look to it Also did you remix the music yourself?

it kinda fits but i think there could be a better mario song used for this

Yeah.. i prefer Fortress theme from Nsmb DS
I wish official Mario games had level design this good
In my opinion a lot of them do

Incredible game design, keep it up !
When fans can make better levels than the actual game that they been working 3 or 4 years on:

You did a fantastic job creating this level. 👏
Love the concept and ideas.
That level looks great! I really liked the tileset especially
wow, one of the coolest levels ive ever seen nintendo has got to hire you
How did the creator of the level make this cool tileset?
This was really cool, but I think the wind in the second half didn't really add anything.
Very relaxing and fun-looking level though, keep it up!
Great ideas love it!!

i would like it if the wind was snow color, aside awesome level!
1:49 I hope Nintendo Took Inspiration From this Level To Make Flower Coin #2 In Up n Down With Puffy Lifts
Beautiful level
Nice music. Where can I download it? :P
P.S. I also liked the level
I'll have a download up relatively soon (about a day or so)
@@gimzie thanks
@@gimzie He never had a download up :laughingat:
@@bitwolfy um im a year late but i did it drive.google.com/file/d/1cjxsndvp7y1wIJcLK-N7nciANYwrO04u/view?usp=share_link
I would extend the timer much more on this one tbh
Wasn't allowed to for the contest!
Looks quite original but the windy section disturbed me because sand shouldn't go with snow in there. Is there a way to change the sandstorm colours?
I wasn't able to do it in time... 😞
Is there a NSMBWii compilation of levels similar to what WiiU got?
honestlt aurora area from krtdl would have been a great fit imo
Nice level and sm64 remix👍👍👍👍👍

Pretty good looking level though, very nice look to it
Also did you remix the music yourself?
Nope, it's a remix by bunten, as listed in the description.

What mod is this?
No mod in particular, just a single stage I created for a contest.
@@gimziehow did you create custom levels tho?
i think there are a few level editors but rhe most popular is called Reggie (after Reggie Fils-Aime)
This could be Mario Maker 3
pass the game mod is very good: D
