"this is the turn that broke my leg!" Man, as someone who wants to return to mx again that's the kind of stuff that spooks me! Years and years and hundreds of thousands of miles on the street I haven't had a single issue, but I miss the dirt. It's been 14 years now.
The way I look at it is that I've known people to break bones in very simple ways- including someone who broke their foot while sitting down on the ground. I'd rather do something I love as safely as I can and keep risks fairly low. As you see in my videos, I'm not fast or riding above my head.
I live just north of Austin in Cedar Pk., Murphy's is about 1 hr from my house. I'm really looking forward to going out there soon. Being a medic, I work 12hr shifts unfortunately on most weekends and so I just wish they had weekday riding like LoneStar MX. Looks like great dirt!!! Was this a weekend? It doesn't look very crowded, do you know if they are usually packed on the weekends? BTW, great video! I just watched one of your on Creekside MX (1.5hrs away) and will be going there soon as you can ride every day!
The dirt is amazing, especially when groomed. This was a weekend, yes. It wasn't super busy, but if was not empty by any means. The property is big enough that it can feel less crowded than it actually is- which is great. If you're looking to ride during the week and can make the trip to Creekside- also consider Cycle Ranch. They are open every day and have some of the best dirt in Texas. It's been almost a year, but here's my video of that facility; ruclips.net/video/-rDKiElkKBs/видео.htmlsi=HFZTMSHGIYBTirbn
@@alexdombi-weridetwo Yes, I have both Creekside and Cycle Ranch on my list. It is awesome that I can ride both during the week. Creekside sent me an email saying they offer airbnb as well. At 2hrs away, I'd love to ride, stay overnight and ride again before driving home. Thanks again, I'm so happy I found your vids. Thanks for what you do, it's such a great help!
I'm also confused because it says they are only open 9-4pm yet have a night track.....do you have any info on that? Do you know what time the night track is open until?
The night track is usually open the same hours as the main track. They do night rides occasionally in the summer and also have a night series of races that happens, one of which is this coming weekend (4/27/24). Check in on their Facebook page facebook.com/profile.php?id=100084023023175 for schedule updates and which tracks are open when. They are also good to call.
Haha, sounds like seat time will be the best thing for you then 😄 I'll be doing a tour this year but wasn't planning to host any ride days. Coordination proved to be very hard when I tried before.
Going to ride murphys for the first time tomorrow. Super excited! As always, thanks for the video Alex!
Have fun! The boys should love the kids' track if they're joining you.
One of my favorite tracks. A confidence builder
It definitely makes me feel faster

You should get back out there and take it slow, just get out there and have some fun, make some good friends and memories
Love the track
Do you like the changes they've made?

The pov sections in this vid makes me wanna get a dirt bike... lol... In time
It's definitely the most fun I have on 2 wheels, and I've ridden a lot.
I have raced here 🎉

@@alexdombi-weridetwo Thanks! Much appreciated!
This track is fun but man it gives me bad arm pump
Sand will do that to you. I wish I had a trick to help
@@alexdombi-weridetwo it's just because I'm overweight and I'm a noob. Are you hosting a 2024 track ride tour?
Haha, sounds like seat time will be the best thing for you then 😄
