So beautiful …The Psalm 22 reveals the crucifixion of Jesus and his cry of feeling forsaken by the Father, but in verse 24 we read “ For he has not despised or scorned the suffering of the afflicted one; He has not hid his face from him, but has listen to his cry for help”. And our Heavenly Father hears our cry and loves us deeply and sacrificially. Thank you for this song. I would love to have the CD.
This makes me cry every time i hear it. That mankind had to learn such a profound lesson. But it is all worth the price paid by the Holy Creator via His Son, and that it will NEVER happen again, because we learned the lesson, and in the end we will all rejoice forever more.
I am an ELCA Lutheran from South Carolina. Today (March 1, Lent 2), Psalm 22:23-31 was our Psalm of the Day. And may we continue to walk with Jesus (and not cut & run) as he makes his way to the Cross.

This is a beautiful song
When Jesus was on the cross and said My God, my God! Why hast thou forsaken me?
The following most precious verse in the Bible comes to mind . . .
John 3:16
King James Version
16 - For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Heart wrenching and beautiful
i really love this , great voice . I must at least listened to it about 5 times. Just wish it was closer to the actual psalm. 22.
The voice her looks music of movie.
AN EXCELLENT VERSE FOR Good Friday
Amazing great song I LOVE It
I love your voice but am so saddened that you only sang about the beginning of psalm 22 where David struggles. This could leave people wondering where God. I kept waiting to hear the end of the Psalm where David praises the Lord and foreshadows Christ's victory on the cross but you didn't sing about that. God is with us even when we struggle. We all have ups and downs. Even Jesus asked God why he had foresaken him when he was on the cross but then declared, "it is finished". Our sins are paid for by Jesus. Ultimately, those who believe, will spend eternity in heaven with God. Psalm 22 is really about hope and is a foreshadowing of what is to come for those who put their trust in the Lord and our saviour Jesus Christ
Holy John17 Holy Love need this Psalm91 The Cross
Let it be known: that the 22nd. Psalm, was attributed To David, and as Beautiful as it was, this was Not Christ' conceding his Victory, but the Completion (There Of) to the Glory of God !!! "' "Eli, Eli, lema sabachthani" was Emanual fulfilling his Fathers' work, and Finishing that what could only be done by he. For he was The Lamb Of God, Born unto Man , Pure and with-out blemish, The Sacrifice to End All Sacrifice. There was NEVER any Doubt of his Station , and so it is written : ~ Romans ~ 14- (9.) "For to this end Christ both died, and rose, and revived, that he might be Lord both of the dead and living.
(10.) But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at nought thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ.
(11.) For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.
lonewolf82nd o
lonewolf82nd It's more a referential point to the prophecy which he is fulfilling as put in this psalm, the kinda final wrap up would be his last word, tetelestai, it is finished.
that was beautiful 😭
this is my dad lol xxxxx u is so cute and kind xxxxxxx
The title has 'hind of the dawn" in it. Earliest appearance of light is called the " hind of the dawn," The title sounds striking and should be thoughtfully looked into
Psalm 22 sits i between the profession that the anointed is the most blessed of all time in Psalm 21 and the promises that the anointed will not fear though he walks through the valley of the shadow of death in Psalm 23
Jesus is most blessed of all time, yet forsaken for a time and walked through the valley of the shadow of death fearless and to get a cup that runneth over and will abide in the house of the Lord forever
Beautiful so soothing Anita Binepal
Prachtig !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
amen
Did you write this? It's beautiful! Thank you so much. Your voice is strong and pretty.
King David wrote it..the voice sounds like amy grant
@@joelwalden3242 lol yes he did then he prayed the psalm 23 the psalm of David
I see Psalm 22 as the Old Testament [a shout out to the Jews] reference that Jesus Christ fulfilled another prophecy written in Matthew 27:46 when HE cried out, "Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani?" in the 9th hour!
Great tune,great singer,Powerful message.
Do u have any instrumental of this song?
please?Anyone?
Tetelestai! It. Is. Finished. Thank you Christ Jesus my Savior and King
Do you have minus one?
Ginamarie Iezzi is right, this is heavily paraphrased. That should be mentioned in the description.
Prasins Lord amen
In this psalm, and the last things Jesus said before dying on the cross, contains a greater message than most of us realize. God sent His son to pay the full wages of sin on the cross. To become sin itself. To be the lamb with no blemish that has the sins of the world transferred upon it. Jesus became sin on the cross. We focus on the physical pain he endured, as the lamb slaughtered to pay atonement for sin, but, we sometimes lose sight of the spiritual price Jesus also paid to accomplish this. The wages of sin is death, which is of the body, but, there is also a spiritual penalty for sin. The penalty of eternal separation from God the father and His Holy Spirit. Jesus knew God would raise Him from the dead, so, I believe His physical death, as horrible as it was, was not the greatest sacrifice Jesus endured for us. When Jesus became sin, He was totally separated from the God the Father and the Holy Spirit, for the first time in His existence. He became separated from the Holy Trinity. Jesus cries out for His father.".My God, why has thou forsaken me?" He receives no answer. God has turned away as Jesus is now sin itself. The Holy Spirit is no longer upon Him. Next He says : " I thirst". He is thirsting for His Father and the Holy Spirit, but, finds no relief. Now, realizing He has completed the task of becoming sin itself, and, has paid the full price for sin; death to the flesh, and, spiritual separation from God, he says "It is accomplished". Finally saying: " Father, into my hands I commend my Spirit". God must take Jesus Spirit into his presence, as Jesus was now separated from God. Jesus paid the ultimate price for all of us, not only death to his flesh, but, He also took upon himself the spiritual price of sin, separation from God. He paid the cost for the finite and the eternal. The body and the spirit. We all need to fully realize how much Jesus sacrificed upon that cross.
Is the sheet music (piano/guitar chords) available for purchase for this song?
I absolutely love this! Is there sheet music available for purchase?
Why can't i find this on i tunes?
Yeah....where the heck are you?
very nice song can i ask for a minus one ..thank you...
They shouldn't have left off the end of the psalm.
I don like the word “fear” in the lyrics. The psalm doesn’t have the word fear.
God, you protect of all yours fears.
Christ never saved me... mostly my friends and familie
Christ didn't save you, is that right? But why? He is the savior, He came here to die and rise again for that purpose. If you're not saved there's only one reason, it's your fault. Only trust in Christ! He is close to you, Jesus cried out in despair "God my God, why have you forsaken me", but you? You will never be abandoned by God as long as you believe in Christ! believe! trust in Jesus Christ.
Isa 59:1: "See, the Lord's hand is not too short to save, nor are his ears too dull to hear."
I don't think the tune fits the original meaning of the psalm.
My God, My God, why hast thou forsaken me, and art so far from my help and from the word of my complaint? I cried in the day time but thou hearest not, and in the night season also I take no rest. ...
But as for me, I am a worm and no man, a very scorn of men and the outcast of the people. All they that see me mock me to scorn. They shoot out their lips and shake their heads, saying "he trusted in God that he would deliver him, let him deliver him if he will have him!"
Tell me that you honestly believe this version portrays the power of those words?
Fuck this must have been traumatic. 😢😢😢
NOT the right words. Please reference Psalm 22.
It's a song not a direct quote.
