I honestly think it would be much better if there was one of these 3 things:
1) no fish spawn cap
2) daily reapawn
3) a guarantee to get a certain number of fish from a certain type at each spot instead of random
One thing you forgot to mention is that there are day fish and there are night fish. Raimei Angelfish in particular only appears at night, but even in other spots you can find more fish to catch if you switch between day and night.
I also think that trying to get it all in one day is great way to get one burned out on the game or at least make substantial step towards it. Being patient and taking it by smaller steps might be better.

It's been a week and i still only have R2 catch
The fish don't even respawn in a single day in my world or am I doing it wrong?
@@aashishbadami95 Fish respawns after 3 days. If you want to catch more fish in shorter time, you can do it in other players' worlds. Most people don't care about fishing so they won't have problems if you catch some of their fish.
This is the way , this will be my strategy , steady
Small Reminder: The first koi locations are mixed up, the first is rusty only, the second is golden only

Tips : just don't push it too hard because you'll get frustrated, get the commissions, grind items you need till you out of resin and whenever you get into someones world, ask them first if they need help and ask nicely if you can get fish. I've never encountered being kicked while doing it.
I got it without any trouble in 3 days ( 1-3 hours of playing per day )
i just told them i was gonna fish then i fished and i got it in 5 hours of fishing
Yeah one guy came to my world, asked if could fish then ran to the fishing locations before I even replied. Had to kick him.

the most needed tip: turn the voices down to zero
not only paimon will boil your blood to the white heat with her voicelines, the constant moaning and groaning of mc will shatter your sanity to the pieces
and, ah yeah those angels with frikkin' electro abyss mage spawn right at the tiny platform on the fishing spot, try using some pyro catalyst with shielder on your team to save your consciousness
update: dont forget to swap the day to night to refresh the fish on the spot, have a nice time fishing! good luck 👍
If you Have Thoma he'll also give you a 20% double catch as well✨

@@benchix2447ust checked and it says: “When you *fish* successfully in Inazuma, Thoma’s help grants a 20% chance of scoring a double catch.” But from (surprised) experience and a few online comments, pretty sure you’re correct that he doesn’t have to be an active character which is nice

Hey everyone, this is my first guide ever and I'm hoping it helped/entertained in some way. This was originally gonna be a highlight video of my suffering but I made a guide instead. And as interesting as a fishing guide would be, I'm hoping the highlights of my experience going for The Catch was somewhat entertaining.
You forgot the item from sumeru that speeds up the fishing.

I was grinding the catch about two weeks before the banner came out so I had R5 catch before I had Raiden. It was kind of weird because it was the first weapon I upgraded upon reaching AR50, so for a while my best weapon on my account wasn't even equipped to a character. (I didn't even have a polearm character above lv. 20 before Raiden.)

Took me 3 hours to get r5. I thought it would take me weeks since my friends told me that they had to grind real hard for it. However, thanks to the kindness of the genshin community, I was able to fish in pretty much every world I joined. Just putting this here in case ya’ll having doubts about getting r5. I can assure it wasn’t as bad as when The Catch was just released.
Tip: if you are annoyed of Paimon's sound. You can lower it in settings. You will also get a reward if you lower and increase too many times

Back at Raiden's first banner, I got R5 the catch purely from fishing in my own world, needless to say it took me over a month and I never touched that fishing rod ever again

I got The Catch and R5 in one day, about 6-7 hours was watching TV and helping people with domains and bosses so they'll let me fish, wasn't bad at all a lot of people were nice or afk

Another pro tip: Turn ur volume to 0 to ignore paimon completely bc her voice will drive u insane.. or slap some awesome bangers in the background on Spotify or something.

Just finished catching fish it took me few hours to reach r5 but honestly it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be just be patient and keep your expectations low and it wouldn't be as frustrating as u think
As a genshin nerd
Koi fish spawns around day time most and puffer and bitter puffer fish spawns from 18:00 to 6:00 the most and the inuzuma one only 2:00
And use stabilizer for make it easy after buying stabilizer when you will catch any 5 fish of same species it will boost the next try of that next fish
To get success most of the time:
When you throw thr bait you can see a round wave creating must make sure to throw your bait I front of the fish but the round wave should not touch the fish and if there are 2 fish throw your bait approximately the middle of the 2 fish
Something to take note of is that Thomas passive gives a chance of double fish
I like fishing for sum reason, took me 3hr 20min for r5 catch on friends acc and it took me 5hrs on my own acc. For the pufferfish, throwing the bait on their tail is easiest way since they turn around and bite. For the koi, you need to throw the bait so that its like 2.5m away.
I just tried this and its not that bad tbh, i got enough to R3 it in 2 hours and now imma chill and do this in my own world, im fine waiting for 3
/6 days cuz finding people to coop with was hell, hate being at the mercy of someone's whim they can kick you out whenever they feel like it.

Another thing is that there are two additional locations for fish in the chasm.
I got r5 in 3 days it was especially painful for me since it took way too long to load other people's world on a laggy potato phone imao. One person decided to disband as I was getting my last pufferfish for r5 ;-;

Ye I'm doing it on my phone also, I haven't really experienced much of the lag people say you get
I didn't do this because I knew for a fact I was not going to refine it if I didn't do it in one sitting, I would like to say I have never been the same, the only reason I still maintained my sanity is because I turned off the sounds of the game and was just listening to music (if I heard paimon say it is this another paimon one more goddamn time I was gonna actually lose it) but on the positive side because I needed to go into other worlds and steal the fish I actually met a lot of great people!
Huge tip, buy and use a stabilizer it really helps after getting a few of the same fish
Just buy a stabiliser from the monstadt fisherman by exchanging 3 medaka it helps a lot. Also if u have Thoma use him in inazuma. Easy

There's also 1 pufferfish spot in The chasm underground mine, it's around the underground waterway near 2 hilicurl and 1 hydro abyss mage,
It took me about a month to get R5.
But it at least let me know what I like about Genshin Mobile gaming. Fishing.

Koi Fish always travel in groups of four
That's because while the A Koi, the B Koi and the C Koi escape. The predator will always go after the D Koi
Followed the guide and it took me 5 hours but it was worth it
I made 16 pulls, no raiden.. as a new player that was a lot, I decided just to wing it with the characters I got.
There's also 2 more pufferfish spots in the chasm

I went from not even having any bait recipe (never fished) to r5 catch in 20 hours or so… I wasn’t even trying to rush, just that bored.

As a guy that has already funished his riden at c2 r1 but did not had r1 until like 5 days for the people that just don't want to deal with coop and want to use their own fish i give a warning,the needed fishing for r5 can take up to a whole mounth for r5 so either get lucky and get the r1 engulfing,or just go to coop,it's 1 day of grind but the grind is nkt worth it for a 4* weapon for a mounth
This was me last week. I had 0 pity, and got 2 wishes from the tree of dreams and I said screw it, I'll make a wish... And she came home... I got her, but I lost my guarantee for Alhaitham. Praying to the hoyo gods I can still pull him.
Anyway yeah, fishing for the catch... Oof, I had to visit about 40 different worlds and I was on the brink of insanity!

I also did it in one day but I didnt use music and didnt mute the voices or used a route, while EU server is filled with russians that dont speak english so i couldnt communicate with them properly so i had to use translate. we are not the same.
1:50 is golden koi, rusty koi, and raimei. never seen a puffer there- let alone puffer only

Last tip is the best tip
Here is a pro tip: Change your name to "NeedFishPls" or smth like that for coop.. This will save a ton of time believe me. All the worlds that I joined with this name allowed me to fish and those who didn't wanted to just straight up rejected it.....
So ya it'll save a lot of time and u wont be annoyed by switching b/w worlds..
Late to the party... but, if you wanna avoid fighting the cryo slimes at the raimei location, just take your waverider to the fishing zone such tht the slimes wont see you: this way, you’ll only hv to fight the electro mage
i got catch in 8hrs
by fishing and joining random poeples world and not giving up and i manage to get it in 8hrs and
the part raiden got a rerun i got her fucking weapon in a single pull and my efforts grinding the catch were in vein
Believe it or not I did it all, weapon and refinement in just 3 hours.
If I didn’t come across this video on my RUclips feed, I probably would have never spent the last five solid hours grinding out this weapon, after looking up several other guides to this weapon, yours is the one that inspired me to just go ahead and fish it.
I got it in one day by co-oping it was pretty easy. It just takes time
no one seems to mention getting the stabilizer to make it easier to catch the fish.... i mean it not hard but it makes it even easier and quicker yet no one ever seems to mention this and only cost 10 madakas i think it was...
