Hey man, just so you know, the grinder does work on untamed babies and they give the kibble occasionally. In my game, the eggs land on the grinder and the air cons are under the grinder, the babies pop and the grinder is slow enough that they dont just disappear. Sometimes theyll get stuck in the grinder. At that point I have to claim them and toss them back out on top. The prime does fill up sometimes, but spoils and its fully automatic so its not that big of a deal for me. I use tek stegos and yutys, so I just go check it every now and then and pull out the good and toss the bad.

Random thought, imagine if the creator of Dino depot created a thing called a Dino dispenser where it shoots out claimed dinos from a terminal, could be used for the grinder or just to shoot out dinos lmao. Plus babies grow inside the cryo spheres, so there could be a mode where it only shoots adults.
That is legitimately insane for kibble, and is by far the definitive way of disposing unneeded creatures from mutation stacking. Though I do wonder just how much more powerful it truly is when compared to traditional farms. I believe Syntac is playing with greatly accelerated breeding rates after all, which in turn accelerates this farm. Regardless, it's high time that Wild Card finally implements some proper farming aid creatures, and I know the perfect pair to do it with. Two creatures, who've been stated in their dossiers to aid in the growth of crops, the Pegomastax and the Lymantria. I know it recently got buffed to gather Gacha crystals, but the Pego is supposed to collect an "extraordinary quantity of seeds and berries, while also handily gathering the rare Flowers, Mushrooms, and other ingredients necessary to cook up unusual concoctions". Which to me, sounds like a perfect way to implement the S+ farmer into the base game. Likewise the Lymantria's spores are supposed to be a nutritious fertilizer for plant, while also being highly poisonous to anything else, which sounds like a fertilizer/pesticide combo to me. There's probably more they could add, but those two are the immediate ones that come to mind.
The amount of kibble you get from the roaming king titan is also insane, plus the number of other goodies you get as well. That plus the bio grinder is making kibble so much more attainable to a degree even mods designed for making kibble easier aren't as simple or efficient!

I'm pretty sure creatures don't need to be claimed because i would just drop eggs out of my inventory, they hatch, they get grinded. Not out of a ball just unclaimed yuti's.
You also don’t have to make those big those big ass polymer farms anymore, just tame a bunch of penguins, set them on mate and just throw the hatchlings in there

I think you're mostly forgetting that you have really high breeding rates and a fairly efficient way to collect the babies. most people aren't going to be able to breed up 90 babies in ~1 hour and then collect them all easily and throw them out. they probably weren't going "ok but will this be op and trivialize certain aspects of the game (crops/honey, etc) if the breeding cooldown is set to 30 seconds and the babies grow up really fast" because that's a distinct choice you made with your settings so it's less of a chore for you to mutate creatures. people with more vanilla esc rates aren't going to be able to spawn in 600 kibble in a week let alone an hour and that's probably what it's balanced around.
Regarding the grinder, I believe that if you create a 5x5 foundation with a 4x4 hole in the middle, you can disable the snap points, and it should fit perfectly in the 4x4 space. It looks good and eliminates the need for ramps leading to it, except for the one leading to the foundations it’s on. I did this in my game, and it worked well, though I’m not entirely sure if it was a 4x4 with a hole in the middle or a different size. You could test it and consider implementing it into the build if you’d like.
make a small bridge to the middle of the grinder and have the eggs fall directly onto it. then have the grinder on activation pin. Once they hatch and grow. claim all and then go up and activate the grinder
It works on unclaimed just fine.. The dropping is what was preventing it. I have mine hatching eggs right on it, and it instantly grinds them up (not getting the kibble that way, of course).
Might need to bump up the height on the grinder building, the collision on the cellar door might be causing the gravity issues, lord knows how funky it gets with taming traps. It could also just be the way it opens, which would be ✨extra✨ annoying.
Love the start of the build and cant wait to get my own dino blender in my base, i have to agree that the walls are kinda plain looking, i ended up using a mix of walls and the sloped triangle walls that you can stack to equal 1 wall. i liked the design on them more especially paired with the windows and it looks fine. needs some pillar accents maybe but cant wait to see the final base reveal.

I mean on official settings there is a greater time sink. That’s probably where any balance is. How many crops can they get in the same time it takes to tame and breed up the same tier kibble creature?
im sure someone probably already said this so im sorry if so but if you use a baby catcher ( cant remember the name of it sorry) without any cryo balls in it it you can set it to just auto claim everything and then you wont have to pick them up and throw them back out again
I’m already keeping my troughs full of kibble lol. I set up a tek stego breading area. The eggs drop into the grinder. The grinder is surrounded with acs. The babies do drop everything including kibble but much less kibble than adults. Sometimes they don’t even drop any but I’m still getting enough to keep everyone feed
Honestly just gotta wait till someone makes a mod that does let you automate the grinder. And damn getting all that Kibble in such a short amount of time without the prep works gonna speed up things so much for future videos. Still hope you make Greenhouses though. For decoration if nothing else.
I play on a server where I have a good breeding line of Yutyrannus. One of them in the grinder gives me 14 Extraordinary Kibble. They do need a good amount of time to grow up, but it is definitely worth it.
Should be a pinned comment showing some of the misunderstanding you had with the Bio-Grinder. It CAN grind unclaimed maturing dinos. It can NOT grind Adult unclaimed/wild dinos. Tek Creature farms work excellent for passively farming those materials by them just hatching on top of the Bio-Grinder. However, using maturing dinos would be a pain without a Stacking Mod to deal with the Prime Meat taking up all of the inventory slots. Appreciate the daily videos and I know that some missed stuff can't be helped. Also, RIP shoulder pets that are accidentally tossed on this thing...

@Syntac Unsure if this information is correct in ASA, but in ASE creatures would only drop 1 tot 1.5 wall height. so if you make the breeding platform one wall lower, they should fall into the grinder :D
Here's the changes I would propose for the grinder: Only claimed dinos give kibble. Wild and unclaimed dinos drop their resources but no kibble, so you can make automatic meat/hide/pelt/chitin/organic poly farms and farm tek dinos without claiming them. Dinos from another player or tribe aren't harmed by the grinder at all. Alternatively, it could just grind wild/unclaimed dino corpses into resources so that the farmable dinos have to be killed or starve before they are grinded into resources.
I tryed the grinder in my single player and was disappointed after i got just 2 Mutton from a lvl 100 sheep (it was a wild baby but was fully grown). No Kibble at all, and like 2-3 pices of prime and hide. I guess i need to try Kibble-tames. The amount of Kibble you got is insane

For me, I don't know if Bio-grinder can really be considered to be OP or not if it were an X1 multiplier on everything that is since it will take 18 hours to 2 days for 1 mating also you need to consider hatching and maturation time as well like even dodo will take 15 hours to fully mature while higher tier creature going to take more time to fully mature but you can also mass breed so yeah pretty OP maybe kibble quantity neft might happened.

Here a stupid idea, since you have to claim the dino before grinding them. Make an enclosure with a ramp that goes up to above the grinder, then when they're all grown up whistle move to toward the top then in the grinder.
Pretty sure you can only attach building structures to the bottom and not the top, also they need to fix the buggys. Mine keeps showing sideways inside it rather than being on the tracks like it's supposed to be.
Who told you babies do not give kibble in the grinder? The only issue with using the baby dinos is they give a lot of raw prime meat which will quickly fill the machine's storage as I noticed while feeding mine baby tek raptors for element dust, metal and kibble. And yes the higher the level the more loot you get.
for the grinder cant u use the dino depo thing that picks them up and let them grow up inside the storage then throw them into the grinder when u need the resources? it still wont be automatic but itll be easier.

I just use a poly gacha now, if you can find one. I have 10 large storage boxes full of poly crystals. Just pop them open as I need them
The grinder does gather other things than kibble, but it is a rather pitiful amount. It is passive income though

I've built 2 rigs so far, both of them are now invisible. I can track them with the dino tracker, but there's nothing there where the mark is.

tip for the drops is that the enforcers do more damage to corrupted creatures, i was able to solo blue drops with one

They auto-rotate to east-west alignment when you leave render and come back. Its super annoying. They also lose big chunks of health when it happens

Someone has already tested the level thing with the blender, so the higher the level the more resources mainly kibble you get.
Ive actually been using it for resources instead scrap metal oil element dust organic polimer electronics it's amazing
You can definitely get kibble from babies. It's a lower chance though, but I'm swimming in basic kibble from grinding tek parasaur hatchlings.
for the grinder cant u use the dino depo thing that picks them up and let them grow up inside the storage then throw them into the grinder when u need the resources? it still wont be automatic but itll be easier.

I just punched the partially grown babies & opened hatch, they then just ran into it & still gave Kibble.
