Here in the Philippines, RedMagic are nailing it with sales more than ROG Phones do. It's cheaper, and had so much to offer without breaking the bank. For those planning to buy ROG Phones here, beware of buying that overpriced sh1+. I was a former ROG phone user from 3 Strix, 5S and 6D. All of my ROG phones had motherboard issues just after several months of usage. I now am a happy user of RedMagic 8Pro for almost a year and loving it! RM9Pro is an even more BEAST!! UPDATES HUH? Most Rog phones are having bootloop issues after Asus releases a Major Update on ROG phones, goodluck with that. RedMagic might be slower on updates, but I encountered no major issues so far with every update. Aside from losing the Gallery app on my RM8Pro which can be fix easily lol.
I got this and it’s an amazing phone. i’ve seen some people say bad things about it, but they need to realize this is a gaming phone, not a camera phone or a underwater phone. It’s for gaming. It’s a bit expensive, but when compared to any other phone on the market, it’s cheaper and more powerful. It also comes with a really nice 80 W charger and the cord. That being said, there’s a cool fan on the back, which helps cool, the phone, but that also makes it completely vulnerable to water. I wouldn’t even have this in the bathroom while I’m showering.
I been thinking about getting one, but I see a lot of complaints with the phone side of things for western customers. From what I see is people complaining that this phone does not support a lot networks here in USA, so I'm curious if you have had any problems with this.
@@zalin2000 I haven’t had any problems, but that’s because I only use this phone for gaming. I don’t take this phone outside ever because of the vent for the fan. If any dust or water got in there, it would trash the phone.
I'm just curious wtf are people doing with devices nowadays where IP rating and waterproofing mean so much, call me crazy but I've had an Android ever since the first prepaid was released (it was the Motorola Triumph through Virgin Mobile for $450 back in the day) and only on a handful of situations was waterproofing or dust proofing ever needed and that's even after I dropped it in a 5 gallon bucket of pizza sauce, let it dry out in a bag of rice for a week and everything was fine, now I get the fan situation with this phone and not wanting to get it wet, but wtf are people doing using it in a typhoon ? Like really, smdh, everything about this phone is top notch, especially if your coming from an LG V20 like I was except for the audio, yes the audio is great when using the outer speakers but once headphones are connected to the headphone jack is where it becomes lackluster, they claim it has Qualcomm audio (Dual DAC) but sure doesn't sound like or has the power of a DAC let alone a Dual DAC setup and unfortunately I took a chance with this device because of the pricing and audio available to any device available on the market, that was until April 28th when MoonDrop released the MIAD 01 (Smartphone/DAC/DAP/Dual DAC) It's by far the best audio phone or device I've come across or ever heard of/tried so it was a no brainer for me

What immediately gets my attention is that only Apple builds on 3nm but even then it can't hold up the speed of the competition. Imagine Mediatek and Qualcomm would also have build there latest on 3nm.
Processor nm stopped meaning anything a few years ago. Some companies advertise lower nm than the actual transistor size. Architecture and design of the chips also play a big role.

@Deadenne I agree, ROG Phones really have material and build quality issues... -> I have the ROG Phone 2; fell, and broke it's screen, even though having a good cover and good glass on top, but is still usable up to today. -> I have the ROG Phone 3; fell completely flat on the ground from about 1,5 meters. Doesn't function anymore at all, even if externally looks perfect; so broke something inside of it. (even the screen looks intact...) -> I have the ROG Phone 6D; fell from about 1 meter and broke its unlock (power on) button, even though the rest was functioning, by onlocking it with the finger sensor. Powered it down once and couldn't restart it anymore 😅 Now I sent it in to ASUS (in Germany, I hope the German RMA process is more reliable then the US one...) and asked them to exchange the battery, as it does only last 0,75 days, even though if using it less... I used it a lot, but after less then 1,5 hours owning it an aweful result... -> From a built quality standpoint Redmagic is way better, that is why I bought it. Also the extended 6500 mAh battery is way better then the shrinked 5500 mAh battery one of the ASUS ROG Phone 8 and 8 Pro. WHY ASUS ARE YOU SHRINKING BATTERIES!!!! -> I also like the built in active cooler, which the ROG Phone 8 doesn't have and is a big plus -> For camera, picture quality, sound and for it's system I would have tended to an ROG Phone 8, if it wouldn't have had a shrinked battery, a further increased price, and that terrible build quality... -> I just ordered this exact same Redmagic 8 Pro phone, and really hope Redmagic will fix the Netflix resolution. As I've seen the photos and videos are ok. Great the have OIS built in now. A real pity they didn't improve their selfie cam... As I am a streamer I will still be able to live with it I think. Luckily I don't do a lot of selfies and my wife has an Iphone which makes way better photos for on the go.

It's hard to argue that it isn't worse than the S24 Ultra. The S24 has everything.
