Glad everything arrived safely. When I was looking at some of the stuff to send, I tried to pick some of the best of the latter years (in my opinion anyway) that could also still fit in with what I knew you already had. Funny story with the Infantry Commando is right before Dorkside closed I ended up with around 12. I have a squad of 6 and then have used some of the parts for customs as well as keeping one sealed. So when it was all said and done I was still left with one that I had no idea what to do with, and I figured you could find use for it.
Sorry to hear that. I lost all of my Star Wars toys in 1989 when Hurricane Hugo destroyed our home. I started at 9 years old with the famous “empty box” set.
Shockwave was one of my favorite G.I. Joe characters when I was a kid. His "hometown" of Dearborn is literally 15 minutes away from where I grew up and I was also in choir. One of my best friends dad's was a SWAT officer. It was like they had created a characters back story just to appeal to me. Plus, he looked bad ass in urban camo with a submachine gun.
The Slugger was one of my favorite Joe vehicles as a kid. I loved mine, hours of endless fun. The only downside is Thunder was hit by the lawn mower one day, because I had forgot to tell my dad that I had dug some "trenches" under a bush in the yard and stationed some of my joes in them to ward off a possible Cobra incursion into the yard while I was at school. Many tears that day, but I learned a valuable lesson. Cobra was willing to do unspeakable acts in their bid to gain control of my yard in Montana. 🙂 On another note the ramp at the back is a brace for when the main gun is fired. Loved the vid man , so many happy memories.
Nice Dial Tone... I do love berets and as I slowly gather vintage Joes I am drawn to the early years, particularily beret wearing guys. The Slugger is great, and so much cheaper than the Mauler.
Damn Tony your sneeze made my cat jump hahaha Very cool, I love how collectors look out for one another. Man I would love to rebuild and enhance my childhood ARAH collection. Very cool video. Your genuine appreciation really shows.
Bought your Action Force figure signed for a kind of display piece to build around without really knowing much about you. Knowing now how much you're into this stuff makes it that much more awesome. You have a new regular viewer!
Very cool! That blade on the back of the vehicle is to keep the vehicle in place due to the recoil of the gun. It's a self propelled artillery vehicle, high caliber stuff so the recoil must be a big one. Even if fictional, it's still pretty cool.
awesome vid Tony!, you really hit me with Nostalgia with the Vamp and clutch unbox, that was my first GI Joe anything back in 1982. I loved that original early to mid 80's run. plus I think you have impeccable taste in Music, I've noticed the choices you make in videos, you are an artist my man. glad to be a subscriber, keep on keepin on!
Finally was able to watch this video. Fantastic! The generosity of this community never ceases to amaze me. The VAMP was one of the first GI Joe vehicles I got as a kid. It is not only iconic. It is EPIC!
Just got me a Vamp myself, like the one you got there, cool feature is that the gun on the back has a lever that if you push it back and forward it articulates the gun barrels 🙂
I've been learning about ARAH since being introduced to Classified by your stream at Xmas. I knew nothing about it (i think it must have hit the UK after I initially stopped getting toys in the early 80's) but have to say I love this line. What a fantastic bunch of toys!
The 89-90 lines really were the transition point. They were still trying to look military but the weapons systems looked like they were based off of prototype "future" weapons.
that Vamp and other jeep type or midsize troop transport vehicles are what we need for GI JOE Classified. it's not that big but its definitely functional
Another great video. You have inspired me into making my own RUclips channel. It’s been a lot of fun. Thanks heaps for the entertaining video analog toys
Yeah what I don't get about companies and making large vehicles is this, when I go down the girls toy aisles, I see all these cars and minivans and trailers and all kinds of stuff that fits the size of the dolls. And I wonder how the same can't be done for 6 inch scale?? The slugger and tanks like it would be easy to make in 6 inch scale. I would absolutely love the Warthog in 6 inch scale.
Hasbro couldn't possibly remake such a complicated vehicle again at a low price. Just look at it! It's got a front, a back AND a middle! Anything with all three of those could only be done as a Haslab exclusive for at least $350!

You sound like a wonderful person. Hope you can enjoy your new home for many years to come.
Mike you are a good dude and people like you keep the collecting community a great place. Very cool of you!
As someone who lost all my Joes and other childhood toys after hurricane Katrina, I LOVE watching you truly get a thrill from opening these gifts!

@@WilliamTheMovieFan I feel your pain bro!
Outstanding collection of vintage G.I joe. Very kind of Mvargo97 to gift them. Great video!
A wonderful, kind and thoughtful act of kindness, from Mvargo97.
This is another example of how amazing our toy collecting community really is.

Absolutely fantastic gifts... Super gentleman Mvargo is.. 👍 And by the way, this is the way.
Those collections are in good hands now.

Some great figures there. Love the VAMP. I believe that was the first vehicle I got as a kid. Good vid 😎😎

oh man dial tone, shockwave and Free fall where some of my favorite figures as a kid.
Shockwave and Rampart are two of my all time favorite joes
Another great video. You have inspired me into making my own RUclips channel. It’s been a lot of fun. Thanks heaps for the entertaining video analog toys
I had the vamp and clutch. An awesome and durable toy!
I recently got Thunder, who is the Slugger driver, very cool guy and vehicle!!
Very very nice mail call!
it's an artillery piece. Reason for the back shovel bud. You dig that back piece into the dirt so the big cannon can shoot. cheers.
great items thanks sharing

Still watching from here in Caterham Tony

I want a Classified VAMP SO badly. Just hope it's retail at a decent price point.
Love your channel.
Very nice
Lucky guy
What a cool box of goodies. Wow!
My Joe collection is quite small compared to yours, and I've managed to obtain 3 straight arm Joes. Breaker, Scarlet, and Snake-Eyes.
Good for you
They can't make the tank because it has a top, middle, and bottom.
They can, but it would cost $400 because the cannon "has a light inside".
Very cool! Nice gifting @Mvargo97!
