First you stop putting Blue Archive in the video titles, making it impossible to filter videos on my end if I were to watch your channel for new uploads via RSS, but now you're also not even putting new videos in the playlist? Well, this series was somewhat interesting while it lasted, but I literally CANNOT keep up with it under these circumstances, thanks to your decision. If you have a way I can follow this series without also being notified of all the other stuff you upload that I don't care about, I'd be happy to hear it, but otherwise, this is the end of the line for me.
hey so that was going to get updated to day anyway. And i'm sorry if i ruined experience in some type of way as I was trying something new to begin with. Was just trying to make some changes here and there, but making it UNBEARABLE to watch was definitely not the goal. However, if it were to make it easier I will add Blue Archive to the videos so it CAN make it easier to find for others as it probably will help.
@@Aceepop Damn, I wasn't expecting a response. I've been seeing this super clickbaity video title style that omits series names and part numbers these last few years, and always got the impression it was just done for the sake of, well, clickbait. SEO at the expense of nobody knowing what the hell your video is actually about. It's a sacrifice most million-sub RUclipsrs are willing to make, since they only care about performance numbers, and not the experience of their viewers. So seeing someone willing to change it is actually really unexpected! I figured since none of my previous comments on the older episodes got a reply, that you just weren't reading comments. Thanks for being willing to make changes like this! I thought I wouldn't be able to follow this series anymore. As I mentioned in my original comment, I use RSS (really underrated technology) to keep track of certain let's play series, since I can just filter it to the one series I'm interested without my subscription feed getting flooded to the point of being unusable (the classic email subscription problem). But if the title doesn't have a term I can filter for, there's nothing I can do about it. And this awful 2020's era title format that has been ruining this platform has made it way harder to follow people whose series I like. Since I (might) have your attention, there's another thing that's been bugging me about this series. Is there any reason you remove the amazing soundtrack of this game? I mentioned in a previous comment that you completely missed the two best songs on the whole soundtrack during volume 4, and I'll be honest, the frustration caused me to skip a couple episodes ahead. Actually, now that I think about it, you missed another amazing and emotional song at the end of volume 3, that you just replaced with some generic pop music. It would've been a piano arrange of the main theme, and I was really sad you didn't get to hear it. The music enhances the mood so well, and I feel like volume F has especially been suffering from the dead silence (or generic music replacements), since you don't get the music that the writers originally intended to go along with the action. And for a game with a soundtrack this fantastic, that's practically a crime.
of course! I try to interact whenever i have with my viewers as makes connect with them more and understand how to do better, but at which part in vol 3 was it that i cut out music? Because "mostly" in vol 3 the music stayed intact. And to answer your question most the time the music, don't get me isn't horrible in fact i love it all, but when I see at chance at making something bit a better (in my eyes anyways cough cough) I try and make it work as best i can if not well i just leave it as is. Most people who watch infact don't even mind so that's what i've been doing as it seemingly imo as more tension here and there.
@@Aceepop Don't get me wrong, I think adding custom music CAN be at least passable-ish in games like Minecraft, or a game you've played a bunch of times already. But for a blind let's play, all you're doing is depriving yourself of a crucial part of the experience. And for what, to give the viewer a different-but-not-necessarily-better-and-potentially-sometimes-worse experience? I can only really think of one situation where your music replacement even fit the current scenario, let alone enhanced it. I really don't mean to come across as rude, but I think video game soundtracks should be left alone in blind let's plays. Soundtrack replacements don't even always work in games the LPer has already played, but this is a blind let's play! Meaning you don't even know what the music was originally supposed to be, which also means you never get to experience the game on its own merits, and likely miss a dozen amazing songs. Hell, there's a part where you removed what was supposed to be funny, comedic music, and replaced it with spooky, ominous music! That's the part where I had to start skipping large chunks of volume 4, because the point of the comical hippie hobo robot guy was completely lost by the removal of the funny music. And no, I'm not talking about Unwelcome School, I'm talking about a different song that's almost totally unique to that one scene. The music replacement would be fitting for a serious or threatening villain, when in reality, if you knew what song was actually playing there, you would've done better to replace it with Papyrus's theme from Undertale. The only other time this song appears (that I know of) is in Volume F, and the music was totally silent for that part, too. Meaning that as far as I can tell, you've permanently missed out on experiencing that song as intended in any blind capacity. If you wanna hear which song I'm talking about, it's song 114 on the BA soundtrack. You almost totally missed out on Usagi Flap during the barrel bath scene in that volume, too. Which I know you didn't hear in the moment, because when you finally heard it in volume F, you acted like it was the first appearance of that song. There's also a part at the start of volume F where you did an entire episode in total silence, before turning the music back on AFTER the episode. As for volume 3, let's see... In the episode "Your Hero", you missed: - Alkaline Tears, which does appear several times, but is one of my favorite songs in the game and enhances the melancholic mood of the scene. Replaced with total eerie silence, for some reason. - A short period of reflective silence after Sensei leaves Squad behind. Replaced with some anime-sounding lyrical music, for some reason? - Interface (Hard Arrange), which is meant to fit with Mika being in danger. Replaced with the same lyrical music, as if Mika getting horribly injured is supposed to be cool or epic, for some reason?? - Luminous Memory, which briefly appears to fit the mood of the triumphant reunion as Sensei steps in to save the day. Replaced by the exact same music as the previous two, because who needs emotional ups and downs when we can have a loud, blaring, plateau that was set too loud for me to hear you very well, for some reason??? - Tech N Tech (Hard Arrange) as the battle theme, which is just a really good intense battle theme for the last stand against Barbara. - Mechanical Jungle, another good theme used in a similar context, also replaced by the same song as all of the others. All of this is in one episode. Once you move onto the next one, you finally re-enable the music. Admittedly, I was wrong about removing the piano theme I mentioned, but I honestly wouldn't be surprised if you didn't even hear it yourself, since the music you don't replace is always way quieter than your voice (and all the music you edit in is way louder than your voice). I had to max out my audio slider and use a browser extension to boost the gain to 400% (putting your actual voice into screamer territory) just to verify that the background music I was referencing actually exists. Anyway, sorry for the essay. I've spent at least the last 12 years of my life interested in RUclips, and a large chunk of that time has been spent trying to figure out what goes into a good let's play. You might be able to tell I'm passionate on the subject. To quote Benjamin Franklin, "I have already made this paper too long, for which I must crave pardon, not having now time to make it shorter." I would've used the other famous similar quote, but I genuinely don't know who that's actually attributed to, and am too lazy to find out, especially after everything I did just to make a point about how much you've missed. I suppose to put my point another way, imagine you were to watch a blind let's play of Sonic Adventure 2. You watch the first 2/3rds of the series, are enjoying the first-time reactions by the person playing, and everything is normal. But then you get to the final third, and you notice that the let's player is not only editing random music into places it doesn't belong, but missing some really great tracks in the process! How would you feel if you were excited to see someone's reaction to Live and Learn, or A Ghost's Pumpkin Soup, but in both cases, the let's player replaced it with some other random song. Could you imagine if in the final battle against the Biolizard, they just replaced Live and Learn with Megalovania? And then as a consequence, they never (live and) learn what Live and Learn sounds like? Never gets to experience it? Would you say they got the full experience of that climactic scene when they're missing such a crucial component? I'll leave you with that thought. Do as you wish, it is your channel after all, but it is a bit frustrating that some of the more serious story beats are made into jokes (don't get me started on how you started making fun of a character for being suicidal, only to howl with laughter at your own joke as she's literally standing on the edge of a bridge, only to cut the entire rest of the scene out. That just felt in really bad taste for many reasons), especially since I know you're losing a lot of experience for very little (and sometimes negative) gain. And all I can really do about it is share my thoughts and opinions. Whether you change anything or not, thank you again for adding the game title to your videos (even if I miss when let's players did part numbers), and thank you for having an open mind and listening to feedback. That's something a lot of people can't do nowadays.
Once again your absolutely welcome! And I hear your thoughts and concerns and I really appreciate it when someone takes the time out their day to help someone else even when they don't have too. You doing something like this proves that there ARE caring people and I can't thank you you enough for it, nobody sure ever be afraid to speak their mind if they believe it could possibly help someone when it truly matters. And to close matters off. As I said in the comment sections of that video, I didn't mean to make you or anyone feel uncomfortable at the Misaki scene as I did infact take it to heart. I did infact state to my veiwers in the comment section not to take it seriously (and regretably) it's still there please know that I WILL NOT nor ACCEPT the condone of someone else life being made fun of in serious manner. At the end of they day everyone does infact have there on way with humor some can't get behind to which I understand (not saying i like dark humor that much) but please rest assured if something ever really happned I would be there to help in any way and everyway possible. Rest easy and uh Good Morning from where i'm from XD i'ma get some sleep night :)
