What the West should understand is that Russia can make helicopters for a quarter of the cost of those in the West. They may not have the electronics and computers that Airbus and US makers offer, but they can do the job better and cheaper. The day of the attack heli may now be over, but the MI-8 platform can be used for everything from heavy lift, transporting 30 combat soldiers and also have a tough and armoured gunship platform in the MI-24/28. They just swap out modules to suit. Anyone who has been attacked by a Hind understands its effectiveness. They are cheap to build, can be serviced in the field by semiskilled technicians and parts are cheap and plentiful. They can also be flown by an NCO with only a months training.
The US had a winner in the Super Stallion, but tried to make it too complicated with nice to have features that make it horrendously expensive to operate. 20 hours maintenance for every one hour of flight. OMG! It was every bit as good as the MI-8 and the US missed a chance there by going with the Osprey which is a failure.

The latest version of the Mi-26 is only marginally larger than it's second largest competitor, and nothing about the manufacturing process is different or superior to that used by any other top tier aeronautics manufacturer. But the chopper is still a beast of an aircraft, and it was great seeing a video of the manufacturing process.

The area of cattle burial grounds is growing at an incredible rate in the failed proxy state, and not even all of them have been collected from the fields, where they are eaten by wild boars and dogs. Can you imagine how much of a legacy Ukraine inherited from us after the collapse of the USSR? These are tens of thousands of units of military equipment, these are 300 launchers S300! How much equipment and manpower were supplied from abroad? And where is all this? You, like the Third Reich in 1944, have already lost, although the end of the war was not soon. So are you. The West still does not have half the materials science technologies that the USSR/RF had. Just as you couldn’t achieve controlled hypersonic technologies, you still can’t. Just as you cannot make 14-meter titanium mono components for your B1s, as we do for the Tu 160, you have not mastered these technologies... You cannot produce helicopters similar to ours. You made a defective Apache, but Viper didn’t work for you. You failed with the Zumwalt class ships. You have still not been able to issue a flight certificate for the Fu 35. You have written off the Fu 22. You are not even close to Russian aviation and helicopter technologies. Russia is the only country that has a full production cycle of all components for aviation, both combat and civilian. You need all the potential of all the countries of your alliance in order to produce a non-working copy of the Yak 141...
Here's an example: the United States spent 2 billion money to develop technology for disposing of weapons-grade plutonium and to build a plant. As a result, the entire project was closed at the plant foundation stage; the technology was not developed. Russia spent 200 million and built the complex and received technology. Russia as a whole is the only country that builds reactors on an industrial scale according to the post-Fukushima standard. And the only country working to move towards the circularity goal. And we are close to a closed nuclear cycle. We are the only country where we are building an industrial serial fast neutron reactor with different coolants. These are not experimental technologies for us... For you, these are, at best, scientific delights in some laboratory.
All you have is microelectronics for the consumer sector, and only because the peak achieving technological self-sufficiency of development of such technologies occurred in the 90-00s, when Russia had no time for it.
And no sanctions were imposed against you, you did not survive the collapse of the country and default, you have the largest economy. And you have achieved nothing! How ineffective you are!

Russia is the only country in the world that has its own full aircraft production cycle, including all components. The superjet was semi-foreign and is now produced with Russian components. MC 21 was supposed to begin production in 2024 with foreign components, it will be produced in 2026 from Russian components. Il and Tu aircraft were restored. Good luck to you in your dreams of a weakened Russia. And it became clear to us in Russia that relations with the West were simply a weight on our feet. You can wait endlessly for foreign investment, but there won’t be any, except on the basis of the pottagon system. You can endlessly think that if you include foreign components in your products, this will simplify certification in the West, which will open up foreign markets for you within the WTO. But this system is not for Russians and other countries, but only for the West.
