Regarding the alleged third type gimmick, I think Khu was actually cackling to himself as he posted the characters for “three” and “type” in relation to the gimmick. It’s not what most of us took it as - that there will be some sort of gimmick giving Pokémon three elemental types. No, it’s that there will be THREE TYPES OF GIMMICKS in the game. That fits with how he was talking about the gimmicks recently, as if there were way more than one.
Being that his native language isn't English, I can easily see how he would use the terms "gimmick" & "feature" interchangeably or completely understand the nuanced differences between the two.
If you look at the Gym Flag in the second trailer (or even the web looking symbol in the first trailer), it alludes to multiple types, not just one. Second trailer flag is what I’ll be focusing on: it has a flaming background, a star, and a lightning bolt. What if it’s a multi-type gym leader with two types THAT ALSO uses that alleged “third type” gimmick on their ace Pokémon. It would make sense as to why Khu said they’ve already hinted at the gimmick. I think that gyms representing multiple types also makes sense as to why his gym leader tweet was pretty vague, and that the E4 share same types as the gym leaders (because if they’re all multitype, types are bound to be reused)
i like how immersive ttars vids are. its like im with him watching him research the hints and it makes me enjoy him so much more. idk what it is but i like it 👍
He’s sharing his internal dialogue and keeping the reactions honest which most content creators are afraid to do, overplaying things which ttar nev does
The way I see the relationship between the 2 legends is “the flow of time”. Koraidan represents the past and Miraidon represents the future. The past and the future both exist at the same time but at “opposite ends” of a timeline, if you will. Just like how their respective colors exist at opposite ends of the light spectrum. Past and future can never “meet” since time only flows in one direction, so even if you travel back to the past or go forward to the future, the past is still in the past and the future is still in the works
Miraidon surprisingly have a similar motifs to ultra beast pokemons. Is it possible that RF is what ultra beasts are truly called? i have a really strong feeling that in this game, the mystery of ultra beasts will be fully explored.
A big things about the lake house is time travel in a sense. she’s able to send letters to the past and he’s able to send them to the future. so maybe one of the gimmicks will be about rewinding time and starting a battle over? maybe in the game there’s a lot of space rips, so the main goal is to restore the timeline and make it continuous again
I would totally believe Game Freak would give a gimmick to rewind a battle so you can fix mistakes you may have made, uber hand-holdy but it’s in their nature
As someone who just finished replaying Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Explorers Of Darkness, I could actually see two separate time periods working. But it wouldn’t work while players are using the multiplayer feature because I don’t know how that would work… Now, why’d I mention PMD? I did it because we were introduced to three different methods of time travel within the games themselves. There was the Dimensional Hole to travel to the past, the Passage Of Time to travel to the future, and Dialga’s powers to affect time travel. So, time travel definitely isn’t a mechanic that the franchise has never played around with before. And who knows? Maybe the past/future will have a problem that we need to resolve with the help of the box art legendaries? It’s just so hard to tell when we have all of these riddles and not much published info from Pokemon/Game Freak to assist us in solving said riddles.
Setting my expectations too high and fanfictiony with this, but, if the professors are the evil team leaders, imagine if THEY are the people in love, and thats what lead them to their evil actions with the legendaries?
Maybe they're trapped in different time periods, and want the cover legendaries to bring both times together, which would of course be bad for the environment, so we have to stop them.
12:27 i actually had a similar idea for 2 games that take place 1,000 years apart from each other, where in the past game you have to travel through a dangerous valley while in the future there's a bridge and you can just walk across to skip it entirely. but later on there's a building you have to enter, and while in the past game it's a religious temple that is open to everyone, in the future it's a nightclub or something that requires a membership card, so you'd have to go on a quest to get that.
I think instead of scarlet and violet taking place in 2 different periods, I think they place in the same time but in scarlet your professor is obsessed with tradition, so you communicate with the past and koraidon and in violet you professor is into advancements so you communicate with the future and miraidin. This makes it so in the present time you can possibly find a present form of the legendary, maybe making that the third in the trio.
Honestly you make me so happy with this “leak” season I’m so glad I found your videos. Filled a void I didn’t know I had and I found a lot of great series you make.
A cool ideal for the new gimmick is that depending on what game you pick you can use certain forms of pokemon from the past or the future. Say you pick scarlet the gimmick could be that certain pokemon could be changed into its primal form during a battle. Like mega evolving but devolving or evolving into its future self, depending on the game you pick.
This whole time thing reminds me of the space time distortions in legends arceus, like how you can find pokemon and items that are not from the time period, like the fossils from the past and the porygon line from the future. Wonder if something similar will appear in scarlet and violet
I vaguely remember a movie where a son lost his father (he died and I don't remember how). One day, after IDK how many years, he finds his father's old radio (that ones you can communicate between people who also has this radio at the same frequency). The son starts playing around with this radio and he connects to someone and they start talking. The person on the other side is his late father on the past and he eventually figures that out. I remember that at some point the father burns the desk with a lighter/cigarrete and the son yells on the other side saying his desk got suddenly burned. Or the father on the past makes a bet on who will win the game and the son tells who wins because it was an old game and he knew the results. They try to make a bunch of tests on the movie, like the father hiding something on the house and never telling anyone and the son finds it on the future on a place that never had anything there before. They keep doing stuff like this until the point the father avoids his death and meets his son on the future (more like plays as if he never died). Something like this could play out on the game (small scale). In order to find the past legendary, we must give information back on the past to avoid his disapearance. (If anyone remember this movie's name, tell me because I want to watch it again and I really forgot it's name)
My answer is team close, their mission is to stop Koraidon and Miraidon from talking to each other and from you changing the future/past by closing time portals.
After watching this video, I can see how you were an inspiration for Birdkeeper Toby...you're quite possibly the most in depth Poketuber I've seen when it comes to tackling Khu's tweets!!! Great stuff 👏
I’m thinking maybe your characters story will take place in the present, but will time travel to the past/future in different towns and storylines throughout the game. So you enter a town, pass through a barrier like the space time distortions in Arceus, and cue the cutscene and dialogue. Complete a side quest, revert the time distortions back to normal, and then you can challenge the gym. You’ll probably have to use the different gimmicks to complete the challenges to revert time back to normal. Maybe the evil team is using time travel/time distortions to get past/future forms of different Pokémon. They botch it and get Regional fakes as a byproduct. These will be version exclusive Pokémon? Maybe even with a third type? This maybe how the professor gets the legendary? Harnessing the power of the time distortion and Pokémon experimentation. Like mew and mewtwo?
hey ttar, I don’t usually watch your content but i really appreciate these videos… you alone are adding a lot of hype and excitement for the games. we appreciate it!!
I wonder what the pseudo legendaries look like will there be 2 of them like one in the past and one from the future. That would be pretty cool and we havent touched on it at all.
Maybe for the movie hint it could be that the professors are in love of something and they want to bring each other into their time and they only communicate through some sort of portal and that’s how they plan things
A few people have pointed out that クローズ is likely a direct reference to the manga series "Crows", which is about high school delinquents and their gangs. Given the school setting it seems pretty fitting, though at this point we would be getting 3 "thug" teams in a row (first street punks, then football hooligans)
Just wanted to say you are doing awesome with these uploads ttar! It is really fun to see you doing research and discovering the meaning behind all these hints. Keep it up!
The biggest riddle revealed. Ttar is khu, he is putting out riddles to hype the new Pokémon game up, and is getting more subscribers at the same time by trying to solve his own riddles.
So in the Yōkai Watch series, there’s a Yōkai called Mirapo which serves as fast travel, but in the second game which has a time travel gimmick where you can go back to the past, it evolves into another Yōkai called Miradox. Maybe a rare Pokémon species helps us time travel in some extent, not a legendary like Koraidon and Miraidon. Idk. I also can’t help but compare this temporary time travel idea to the Tesseract gimmick from Pokémon Insurgence. You reach back into the past, do something, and then are promptly returned to the present.
Honestly what I think the Lake House hint was about was more about the two professors that this game has, something completely new to this game and the major design differences between them. Something about how they are exchanging research notes through time or something like that, the games could still technically “take place at the same time” like TTar wants to say but would allow for the time theme to come across a bit more for the professors
I can't believe it I saw my meme tweet In your intro... Life goal achieved. Now I can go live in the mountains in peace. And awesome work on the Khu riddles, keep it up👍
Do you think that ''time traveling'' would be only like Tesseract in Insurgence?, so that way GF won't have to make two completely different games and would only have to use that ability to access either past or future during some parts in the game. You're killing it with the uploads Ttar!!!
Daaamn bruh the idea of this time traveling box that sends messages to the past/future...sheeeeesh that would be such a good story mechanic XD and maybe later in the game we gain the power to travel to the past/future our selves.....dude I'm really keen to see where they go with this
The movie story concerning the letters reminds me of the quest in Hammerlocke in SWSH, the one where u take a little girl's love letter to an old man in Ballonlea.
Also calling that the movie references the professors or ""villain", both games onen side of the relationship is communicating w the other in a different time period. They have a project that'll make the time space continuum collapse if activated to connect the time periods, Koraidon/Miraidon are the same pokemon in different times that never meet who both have to prevent it. Maybe since they are motorcycle themed when you ride them you can time travel in a safe way? Like their chest wheels move time forward/bback when they travel?
This could also be why miraidon and koraidon are always together but not the same. Could be a manmade remake of koraidon even, but they both serve the same role in different times so they're kinda bound in that way the same way the sun/moon is for solgaleo and lunala. And they'd always be tied together in a cycle of events to prevent this event the game could be built around.
The Lake House, one game is in the past, one in the present, but connected in some ways, I love it. These games are gonna be worth getting the gold steelbook dual pack
now, because of this Lake House movie reference, I'm thinking that Khu referencing that a gym leader was shown in PV2 means that Nemona really is a gym leader, but in the future (? years like in the movie)
About the Upa from Steins Gate. It gets replaced with an other. In the regular timeline, the Upa is metal and is super rare, by the end of the show to alter the timeline to enter the next it gets replaced with a regular green Upa. The one to swap it is the Main Character.
I could see Scarlet and Violet both being in a present setting and maybe something happens that distorts the world into past/future sections maybe? Who knows honestly
I know plenty of people are saying it but I am going to as well: We really appreciate all of the work you're putting in to these videos for us lately, TyranitarTube. You're spoiling us with all of this enjoyable new content. Thank you, man.
Khus riddle three means past present future not types. You live in the present while you either communicate with the past or future depending on which version you choose. I’m guessing there will be past and present forms depending on the version you choose and I think there will be some sort of trying to communicate with past or present depending on the version you choose. That means that there must be a present from of the legendaries that you will seek out.
Maybe the relationship of both legendaries is: they are the same Pokemon, Past and Future self (and the mons know it ofc), and they are able to communicate for some unknown reason (yet) with the help of the player with some unknown device (gimmick). Assuming time is the core thing in this game, they need both past and future working together to solve the plot of the game. This make me remember a really cool episode of Start Trek Next Generation (All Good Things / Season 7 - Episodes 25/26), imo is a good analogy to what I'm picturing this game is if all speculations time related are true.
if you translate kuroozu from japanese to english it auto corrects to Kuro Ozu, which means Black Oz.....as in Wizard of Oz (there was an all black cast version called The Wiz). Wizard of Oz, as we all know, was about a girl picked up and sent to a different time, dimension, reality, and ends up helping the locals defeat the villian. Could it be that the games going to take inspiration from this? There seems to be a lot of things pointing towards a time-travel like feature. Kuroozu meaning Crows could be in relation to Odins crows, Huginn and Muninn, that fly all over the world (and realms....) collecting information of Odin. Could the evil team being Team Crows mean that they are the minions of an Odin-like figure? Also, last crazy theory rolling on from crows & odin. The Odin figure could be the 3rd legendary that Team Crows worships. Kiraidon could be "Loki" purely because of it long horn-like handle bar whisker things (also more primitive like the ice giants). And Miraidon is "Thor" being able to harness electricity. I realise this is a spanish region but that hasnt stopped gamefreak from adopting mythology from other countries before.
Again running with the norse myth idea. Scarlet and violet are at opposite ends of the RAINBOW spectrum. you know what else is the colour of a rainbow........THE BIFROST. And what does the bifrost do???? Allows for travel between 2 points in space, and in this case maybe time!!
My take on the past/present theme is that time travel is more common place in the region (possibly because of koraidon and miraidon) and because it is common place there are themes of both the past and the future represented throughout the world. This would cover the fact that game freak wouldn’t make one game entirely in the past and the other entirely in the future. So we could have one half of the map be more ancient and the other half be more futuristic, and there could be one central town where time travel can happen. Koraidon and miraidon might not be able to time travel themselves but they can aid the people in binding the past and future together. Just one idea but it covers a few bases that game freak are unlikely to do.
I think its the professors that are at opposite ends of the timeline and communication via the legendary pertaining to the title. The legendary is capable of time travel, but can't take anyone/thing with it.
If Crows is the real name they are gonna be another distraction Evil team like Skull and Yell. All TRUE Evil teams expect Magma and Aqua are Space themed. Rocket, Galactic, Plasma, Flare, Aether, Macro Cosmos.
Just want you to know Ttar we’re really appreciating the uploads. No clickbait about leaks with no credibility or any BS is awesome.

The 2 professors from the past and the future are communicating with each other but they cannot see each other.

The Team might be something like...Team Close. Connecting the two times.
I know plenty of people are saying it but I am going to as well:
We really appreciate all of the work you're putting in to these videos for us lately, TyranitarTube.
The Time travel stuff is making me think of Back to the Future and Doctor Who.
the movie might be taking about the 2 proffesors
Sada and Turo are the legendaries shapeshifted
Just recently saw your vids ttar and you're very entertaining 🤙
I play chess and strategy games, and my brain is starting to hurt from all this.
Team Claus
Santa has a list, and he's checking it twice, going to find out who's naughty...
I really hope we get that new trailer soon, I can't take in all of this wondering what it means 😭😭😭😭
if you translate kuroozu from japanese to english it auto corrects to Kuro Ozu, which means Black Oz.....as in Wizard of Oz (there was an all black cast version called The Wiz).
I immediately thought of a cartel but then realized Pokémon is never that dark
I think its the professors that are at opposite ends of the timeline and communication via the legendary pertaining to the title. The legendary is capable of time travel, but can't take anyone/thing with it.
TTAR THE TWIST OF THAT MOVIE IS THE MAILBOX IS A TIME TRAVELING MAIL BOX THAT SEND THE LETTER FORWARD AND BACKWARD IN TIME!!!!!
If Crows is the real name they are gonna be another distraction Evil team like Skull and Yell. All TRUE Evil teams expect Magma and Aqua are Space themed. Rocket, Galactic, Plasma, Flare, Aether, Macro Cosmos.
