Eyes open when the doors open and close.. if you see a ruckus/hear weird yelling and pushing be alert and maybe block the doors from closing so it's easier to catch the culprits!!!

Yeah the six months sounded pretty reasonable but this psychopath had to take it to a totally different level.

Yesss!!
Agree.
This is what happens when you lower the security of the country and allow all sorts of people to come through and do whatever you want to. This is really the fault of the governments everywhere.
This is why my wallet is chained to me, I’ve even had someone try pull it out, the awkwardness when you make eye contact to someone holding your wallet chained to you is hilariously bad.

Because Italy is liberal and they protect and sympathize with Gypsies that's why. Most of the pickpocketing in Rome is done by Gypsies.

They should put a big sign in all areas in the train station of BEWARE OF PICKPOCKETS - Watch your bags, pockets of sweaters or coats, purse and crowded or groups pushing you from behind. These are rampant not only in Italy but Spain victimizing tourists or foreigners ,

I suspect the police there are involved in the pickpocketing activities , that's why they don't do anything about it. It's's not difficult to have secret surveillance cameras to know where those pickpocketers are inside the station, they can't escape when undercover police are placed at everywhere inside the station.

I've been to Rome twice and all of this is rampant. The first time we went we got a cab to our hotel. The price was I think 12 euro. I gave the guy 20 euro then turned to grab my suitcase. He then tells me I only gave him 5 euro and proceeds to argue with me in the street. It was sickening. We did go back again a couple of years later but I was on edge anywhere we went. Wouldn't go back again
Eastern-European Import is looking great in Italy.
I love how western Europeans can never admit they are sh** too. It must suck that you couldn't blame this on someone black/brown "the ImmIGraNtS" because they are very clearly white. But then now, it's Eastern Europeans. So you think Italians are incapable of theft. A country run by mafias 😂 Come on, Italy is a country in the dumps with lots of people especially the young struggling to make a living and a lack of gainful employment to meet the standard of living. There are a lot of poor Italians in Italy, there's also just general delinquency which would lead one to theft.

Wtf are you talking about?
It's not a matter of corruption, it's just that these people go to jail for 1 day and then are free again. There are no punishments (unless you are a honest person, in that case you can get consequences). Anyway, theft has become a minor crime in Italy.
