The yellow skirt is in style, right now, but try wearing a peach colored cashmere, sweater, with it, & a strand of peach, fresh water pearls. Fresh water pearls are so much cheaper than classic pearls, but just as pretty. A pine green cashmere sweater, with that yellow skirt, with a peach colored blazer, would also work.
The new "IT" colors for this Winter are jewel tones, but we also are still wearing the latest Fall fashions. Denim on denim, vests, full skirts, pleated plaid, wool skirts, long blazers, natural color animal prints, trench coats, leather, fringe, bows, vintage brown mink or faux fur, brooches & silk scarves, piled on jewelry, so don't get rid of those, but ripped jeans & skinny jeans went out of style, last Summer.
Some dry cleaners do alterations, or hem pants, for about $10. so ask them to hem your long jeans, if U want to keep them, & take the side seams in on the plaid skirt. U appear to be an Autumn, so Fall colors work well with your hair. Which is probably the envy of every lady U work with. If U can thrift a pine green, or burgundy, cashmere sweater, to wear with your gray pinstriped pants, see what U think.
In Textiles class for Fashion Design degree, I was shocked to learn we should never let wool suits, wool garments, or wool sweaters, touch carpet. Carpet, even new, or polyester carpet contains a caterpillar, called a "wooley bear," that eats holes in wool clothes, b4 it turns into a Tiger Moth, & eats more holes in clothes. Same thing if U store wool clothes in soft sided, tapestry luggage.

Cardigans are "in," right now. I'd hang onto it, for now.
