    What are your thoughts on Spider-Ham?
    Did you have any wild moments you want to share?

    What I like about your videos is that they help make buying choices AND help with initial plays AND are EVEN more helpful after I’ve played the cards a bit.

    There is a limit of one per phase/turn on One Way or Another though I think.

      Yes, you're correct. I misspoke there, but Petulant Pig does not have any restriction!

    Gonna need another charity stream with a game or two, starring this hero.

    So happy to finally have this hero pack in my hands! MarvelCDB has already been going nuts with deckbuilding around his S-tier potential. People are saying that he is easily in the running for the top 5 overall most powerful heroes in the game. His resource economy is insane which can be used to quickly propel him to a state where he just walks over anything the villain can throw at him. I'm only just now about to start building and testing myself but I'm super excited!

      I'm glad to hear I'm not alone in thinking there's a lot of power in this pack.

    I’m loving Spider-Ham so far, the easy access to wild resources made a really good honed technique deck. I love how easy he makes it to ramp early and then just go crazy

    One Way or Another is max 1 per round 😉

      @@AllYouCanBoard Maybe 😬 Btw did you forget that you also have to exhaust for the obligation? It‘s not „only“ a toon counter.

      Man we ALL gave rules missteps in this game. Still love it and no worries @All You Can Board.

    Don’t sleep on sp//dr either! So so unique and finally a useable hero with a small hand size

    • @AllYouCanBoard
      @AllYouCanBoard  2 года назад

      Yeah I've had a ton of fun with SP//DR too! Two solids packs.

  • @RocketMagnetUK
    @RocketMagnetUK 2 года назад +1

    I was surprised that Petulant Pig didn't require a Toon counter to play.
    Technically it's really +2 Cards net but still great. It's easy to think of perfect sequence of cards draws but IME they rarely happen... I've played him a fair bit and I did occasionally get 2X PP I never got OWOA with them.. only had one copy in tho.. may add another now to up the chance :). PP is great if you get a Cartoon Physics in play or already have one to use if you get a nasty Boost.
    Overall he is really powerful but you still need some setup and he can be weak early but not always with a good card draw. Main thing is he's loads of fun to actually play and despite my initial opinion when it was announced I've been proven wrong.
    I found the Basic cards Team Building Exercise and Web of Life and Destiny were excellent the latter especially with SP//DR Ally.

    • @AllYouCanBoard
      @AllYouCanBoard  2 года назад

      Yeah I think even though a lot of people may sleep on this pack, once they try it out we may see quite a few be converted.

  • @Webhead123
    @Webhead123 2 года назад

    The SP//DR ally has enormous potential in a Web-Warrior deck, especially Spider-Ham. While Web of Life and Destiny is out, her leaving play nabs you an extra card draw. With Warrior of the Great Web on your hero, you'd also get +1 ATK that phase. Play SP//DR again using the extra resource you just drew and/or Toon counters (or pack a Team-Building Exercise) and she comes back ready to start the cycle over again! At that point, you basically get 2 threat removal, 2 damage and 1 card draw *every* hero phase for 1-2 resource expenditure. That's crazy efficient! Really cool card.

    • @AllYouCanBoard

    This is why I’ve learned never to judge a character from the initial FFG announcement.
    I’m happy to see Justice getting a bit more attention along with Basic getting beefed up. I’m not totally convinced they aren’t up to something with all the Basic goodness recently.
    The last few heroes have been super effective right out of the gate. That’s great to see but in come cases it shows some glaring weaknesses in some of the older heroes.
    It’s a definite buy for me the next time I pop into my FLGS along with Sp//dr. Sure, I do I have to keep the collection up to date but mostly because I want to experience these new mechanics.

    • @AllYouCanBoard
      @AllYouCanBoard  2 года назад +1

      Definitely agree! Not every character resonates for me at the very beginning when it's announced but sometimes when I get them to the table, they really shine.

  • @fromundaman

    I feel like despite all of the good things you said about it, you may have undersold Petulant Pig still.
    No limit on uses per turn, and it synergies amazingly well with Captain Americat who can put it back in the deck where Ghost Spider can go grab it again.

    I think Warrior of the Great Web should just be placed beside any Spider Heroes without that trait at the beginning of any game you play. You shouldn't have to pay for that card.

  • @MikeDV34
    @MikeDV34 2 года назад

    I played against Klaw, and I had a load of toon counters at the end (like 8 or 9). I didn't really use the counters to pay for the cards up to that point. I was able to wipe Klaw out on that turn because of all the attack cards in my hand, and I could just use the toon counters to pay for them. Such a powerful deck!

    • @AllYouCanBoard
      @AllYouCanBoard  2 года назад

      Yes, the fact that they can be used as resources is such a powerful addition.

    I took Spider-Ham and SP//dr against Red Skull. A double Petulant Pig (no One Way or Anothers in Red Skull) turn won me the game. Great card.

    I always love your reviews more than others because you talk about EVERY card except for ones that are previously released. You didn’t really do that minus the allies. Which kinda sucks.. make me think that fantasy flight is running out of ideas :-/

    • @AllYouCanBoard
      @AllYouCanBoard  2 года назад +2

      I don't believe I omitted any cards in this review aside from the additional encounter set that was included. And the reason I didn't speak to those is because I don't feel like I can get enough experience with them in the timeframe I work with to put these reviews out, as I'd have to see all the cards and play against them to properly comment. So I decided to focus on the actual player cards that are introduced. That being said, it could change in the future, it's just how I chose to approach it for now.
      Besides that, I believe any other cards I left out are reprints.

    I don't think I played Even the Odds in any of my games so far with Spider-Ham. I have been playing solo though, so with fewer encounters you get fewer side schemes and also only remove 1 threat from each. Maybe it's better with more players!

    • @AllYouCanBoard

      I had success with Even the Odds when I played 2-handed solo, for what it's worth!

      I'm pretty sure this is considered a standard expansion and isn't limited.

    What infuriates me is that a "unknown/fool" character is a lot more powerful than "well-established/serious" heroes like Hulk and Thor.
    It simply makes no sense that a burlesque pig can destroy The Mad Titan Thanos easily, when the Almighty Thor and The Incredible Hulk are almost incapable of doing that! (I'm talking from the signature cards perspective, no aspect cards, no BS!)

    • @AllYouCanBoard
      @AllYouCanBoard  2 года назад

      I think that with a character like this, I just choose to approach them in a bubble. Obviously Spider-Ham is not a stronger hero than Thor or Hulk. In the Marvel Champions card game, yes that happens to be the case, but as that's just how it played out in the card game, I'm fine with it. I think it's funny and that kind of fits the outlandish, ridiculous theme of Spider-Ham in the first place.

    Question: when the Green Gobbler engages me, I have to discard all counters from all cards I control, erm, does that include damage counters on my allies?

    • @DMWaldo
      @DMWaldo 2 года назад

      They are called damage tokens in the rules, not damage counters. So no. Good thought though. I had to look it up.

      As Michael mentioned, no I don't think you clear the damage tokens unfortunately!

    You are making marvel champions stuff. RUclips had recommended your other videos to me recently, but I hadn't seen a marvel champions one in awhile. Then this pops up and I actually search and see you have done videos about the X-Men stuff. Gotta love how useless RUclips can be...

    Scarlet Spider is better in a Spider-Woman deck.

    • @AllYouCanBoard
      @AllYouCanBoard  2 года назад

      Yeah that would be a good place to use Scarlet for sure.

    • @DMWaldo
      @DMWaldo 2 года назад

      I dunno.... even there. If I can guarantee I draw a card every time, getting four cards during the villain phase over four turns, using all of Scarlet Spiders hit points, but I use 5 cards to play Scarlet Spider.... It still just seems 'meh'. Nick Fury is the same cost, and gets me three cards, 2 thwart and a chump block. I get that there are Web Warrior deck shenanigans, but there are plenty of good Web Warrior allies at this point that I would choose first.
