I purchased this ball soon after you released this video and it quickly became my favorite ball. Even on heavy oil, I will start with a big solid ball, then about 5 frames in switch to this ball. Absolutely LOVE this ball.
I bought a Mythic Jackal 8 months ago and absolutely love it. It's my main league ball with the Jackal Ghost and Venom Shock being my 3 go to balls. I got my first 300 game with the Mythic Jackal but unfortunately it wasn't during a sanctioned game.
Ahhh Man.....It's not ugly Bro LOL I find it very unique looking color combo. Getting ready to roll mine for the first time tonight in league. You made that thing look amazing!!!
I love this ball. I haven't bowled with it for a few months (been using the Legacy) but brought it out this weekend and hit a high of 255 and a 222 series. Considering I'm a 191 average bowler it was a great series.
Just threw this ball for the first time. On sport shot at my local center. This thing is sociopathic. We bowled on 52ft. Badger tonight and this thing was actually jumping the gun a little. I was playing 1st and 2nd arrow. The ball always hooked throung the oil and was very continuous. I throw no thumb and opted for a very aggressive layout, as I wanted this to be the sharpest ball in my bag. I have a Pin up Tag Cannon and a Pin down DV8 Activ8.
Love too see it! I’m definitely ordering one from you and having you set it up for me! I bowl on the Monday leagues at waterford lanes. This video makes me excited👍🏻
I believe when I meet with you in April, my falls/spring season will be over and I will be ready to purchase a new ball. I would love to get a another ball from you and have you layout a ball for me based on what we discover and learn about how I throw the ball and what I need to do to improve my game.
When you say you are keeping your hand in a "rolling hand" position can you elaborate more on that and how and when to change to a "strong hand" position
JR, I've been considering going away from finger inserts in favor of finger tape for consistency. What are your thoughts? I noticed you were using tape, but couldn't tell if you had inserts or just holes in the fingers. Love the video, I helped a friend out so he said he'd order a Mythic for me. Can't wait to get it in. What's your schedule like? Maybe you can lay it out.
I saw the match play some of them were useing urethane or nova like Kyle sherman Darren idk what he was useing! he swithes balls alot brad too nova or urethane and Belmont was useing the wolverine bowling ball
When I compare ball motion as a whole for people, I used to put Motiv right in the middle of the pack. Brunswick was on the end of the spectrum of being VERY smooth, and they rarely got a ball that was good and had motion down lane. Then at the opposite end is the Storm reaction, which is clean and fast. When you see them try to do something opposite, it can be hit or miss (Hyroad Nano anyone?) Motiv had decent cores, but the covers were seemingly too weak. The hat trick is to have something that you can shape and it can be very fast downlane and not be super over under, and also have actual benchmark balls. Every company wants their IQ Tour Solid, their Purple Hammer, then their bigger balls can cater to their need. For me, Motiv has a great heavy oil assym, now a faster assym, a fast symm (Iron Forge), benchmark solid (Pride. Go get you one, seriously), and urethane. They are getting smarter about coverstock design (remember, they're 11 years old, and Storm is almost 30?) and they're getting close to knowing which cores go with which covers. nordattack, sir, with your release and rev rate, I can see how you would think that.
@@hotstovejer I am a Classic Full Roller, zero tilt, 90 degree axis rotation, 145 rpms and 13-14 mph launch speed. I have a Forge Flare with the 3 3/8" Full Roller Leverage layout. Flares a ton! It is super forward and smooth, almost like a urethane ball, but with a more sudden and later transition into a roll compared to urethane. At stock grit the Flare just died out off my hand (zero tilt) so I just took it up to 4000 grit to see if it will look better on house. Will try it tomorrow in league.
@@nordattack I've seen your videos sir. Just remember that the Flare is a very aggressive ball. When you drill it to max out flare, you are making it to where the ball will have to stay in front of you because you are having the ball hook as soon as it can. Stronger pin placements aren't always what you think they will be.

You also had a crazy reaction to the Jackal Legacy as well. The Legacy and Mystic may be a good 1-2 punch for the heavier/longer patterns.
Just used mine today. Got it from a friend, first hook ball. Reassuring to see this. Only way I can go is up!
I bowl with one hand and no thumb. I use this ball and just wondering for any tips to increase my average, im currently at mid 140's
Most people will say use your thumb I’m a 2 finger bowler with a 174 average not to bad. Do you have yours drilled pin up?

You should get into the sterling lanes Monday league, you can make a lot of $$$
I always like Harvey Korman's acerbic version: "Elementary, cactus head"

Alittle surface and this ball might be amazing.

Will this ball work at the Open Championship in Vegas?

He probably uses both, finger tape helps when u bowl as much as he does because your fingers swell and in general take a lot of abuse
I have one and absolutely love it. It is very good.!!!
Can this ball be used in USBC?

Do you have a review for the jackal ghost?
Cool video talk to tech bowling ball Jr Raymond
Can you do a segment on the Black Widow Viz a Ball?
Good compliment to the motiv pride ?
It would be cool to see u throw the new ball on a pba shot
How does the empire pride compare To this ball
JR do you mind to share your layout?
Is that the usual/normal impression or opinion of MOTIV, not enough movement? That's not the case for me.
My Motiv balls are all very forward and flat. Kinda like urethane balls on steroids.
@@nordattack i only have one ball that rolls a little forward. I attribute some of that to the layout. Everything else rolls pretty good for me.
