Frank is spittin facts! I’ve been talking to Frank about coming over here and making 4-5k a week take home after expenses if you run like a company driver! I have the same issues with my Capacity Coordinator/Driver manager! Half the time he’s not at work. I’m trying to run a 2-300k business annually and you not at work? GHOH! Trailer issues. Go find a trailer 100 miles out the way to turn around and drive 100 miles back to where you need to be at .65 a mile. My machine is costing me 200k+! GHOH! We share the same sentiments! Frank I’m probably headed over to Landstar as well once this fall hits. I want to start a fleet and J.B. Hunt really isn’t the place to do that. It is a good company but there’s too many issues to do what I need to do as Frank says!
You’re on the right path about coming to an all Owner Operator company. Same BS goes on over here but I get it, you want to get away from Companies that have both comp and owner ops under one umbrella. That makes perfect since. Thought about JB for a brief minute and then I was like nahhhhh lol…..
Cause these drivers be 🧢 all the time about pay settlements and company’s we all no it’s hard out here cause of fuel especially and costs of keeping the truck running
The transfer fee imainly is for switching from carrier to carrier within the TEL network, and that’s because that carrier then becomes the surety. The only other time you pay a transfer fee is when you’re ready to operate outside of TEL network carriers and that’s only a one time fee. I’ve only paid one transfer fee and that’s when I left USA and I’ve switched carriers twice since then and haven’t paid anything. And don’t let them tell you you need a two million dollar liability policy because they’ll accept one million.
@@lifewithfranknitty5991 oh most definitely it goes towards the truck. I was speaking more so on the one month rental fee because that’s the only fee that could be continuous depending on how you use it.
All I can tell you is that the rates has dropped bad here at Landstar and loads are cancels are getting high. Majority of L.S. loads come off the spot market load board--a few agents have there own contracted customers but that is a small percentage. Flatbed are doing better but there is a 3 months waiting list if you dont have your trailer. Just dont want thinking that you are going to get better rates at L.S. Alot of guys here will not tell you the truth

@@lifewithfranknitty5991 I've been running JB Hunt from their in-house load board, but I have my own authority. I don't just run JB Hunt loads though. I'm signed up with several carriers. I run loads with Forward Air, Schneider, Cardinal, and Werner to nam a few. If JB Hunt isn't poppin in an area, on to another carrier or logistics company.

Yup
