Classic of its era. For Bowie fans this album kind of marked his return to the forefront of Rock. Bowie's "Let's Dance" album, also from the early 1980s was also a big hit, and is more Pop, and accessible maybe, than "Scary Monsters".
I saw David Bowie in 1983 with my dad and younger sister THE SERIOUS MOONLIGHT TOUR for The Let's Dance album at western springs stadium. It's still to this day the biggest crowd in Aotearoa and our population is over twice the size as it was then .💥💥💥🤘

The whole first side or 5 songs of this are TOP DRAWER. Powerhouse stuff. If it's pop it's skewed and it's integrated use of time sigs in Up The Hill blew me away then and still blow me away today
