Great addition to your blog, this specific banknote is considered rare (not everyone is aware of its existence) in Japan, at one point they were available here in US at some money exchangers, I got mine at Houston airport at exchange rate back in 2014! Happy new year and Keep it up!!!
And I was told that it did circulate in one of the provinces in Japan, I do not want to say this is 100% correct, it was just conversations at local coins shops in Tokyo… so probably 70% of lost in translation is very posible
The omron rings are difficult to see. They are usually yellow so can be read by the machines at a specific wavelength. The note is a light colour so tends to hide them but copiers can read them.
Happy new year, amazing video, as usual, I was also very happy to add it as a commemorative note to my collection
Happy new year!

I had heard it only really circulates in Okinawa...and perhaps that is due to the gate on the face being also in Okinawa.
@@dguilarte1Yes, in Okinawa to be exact. Even from the ATMs in the islands you can specifically withdraw only 2000 yen notes if you wanted to

They are particularly hard to see on the face and back of this note.

The corner left is like Hentaigana, the former form of today’s Hiragana and Katakana.
You know more than me!
