I bought this model. Mine had serious issues. Some of the frets weren't fully seated. After tapping them in the frets were all over the place. I had to do a complete level, crown and polish. Bridge pick up would short out when flipped over. The bridge saddles were set at the top of their travel because the neck was actually set to high in the pocket. Strings were so high I couldn't raise pick ups high enough. I had to sand off 1/32 of heel to get the neck low enough to set the pick up height. Also the body had buffer scuffs all over it. So what did I do beside the fret job. Replaced the bridge to a hipshot/Locking tuners/pickups (EVH Wolfgang)and electronics. After all that its one of the best players I have. In hind site I should have just returned it but it was a nice challenge to fix. That being said after the upgrades I'm in to it for about $680 +(the fret job was in house so what's that worth?). It now plays and sounds as good as my PRS SE's which are in the $800 range. Where it lacks is the finish. The PRS SE's are finished way better but what do you want for $240.00?

The thing I like about many of the newer inexpensive guitars is the rounded fret ends. It used to be that finger ripping sharp frets ends were the norm.

Excellent review. I bought the Ocean Blue Monsoon. I did have to straighten the neck a little and lowered the action a little. I was going to put 9's on here because I'm measure 10's with my caliper, but the strings sound and feel petty good. I'll keep the 10's on here for a while. The pickups sound great but are wobbly. Great guitar for the money.
There are so many amazing quality brands out now, almost makes me want to sell off all my Fenders, Ibanez etc and just load up on Fesley, Leo Jaymz and Firefly , only problem is i love all my guitars and can't stand the idea of parting with them . I also love to buy inexpensive brands and modify/upgrade them. I have two Kramer Baretta Specials that i upgraded with a better bridge as well as locking tuners (from Musiclily and even after heavy use for two years they still perform as great as they did brand new) on and threw in DiMarzio Super Distortions and i'm not sure why Richard (Bald Shredder) never connected or found the vibe with his Baretta Special because even stock they are great (even more upgraded). The floating pickups are that way for vibration.they suppose to be better.but me I'm always seeing if they loosing up any all the time.i like the solid ones better.i put covers over them if I had it.
Got the blue flame version and it's far beyond its price for quality. I let some fellow shredders try it eyes closed and they said it felt like a strat
The color is fantastic. Don't be worried about the bald shredder having less wood than you 😜 I just may have have to get a second cheap guitar that rocks! For a pure gorilla drummer this is impressive. Rock on and keep the great videos coming 👍

Same Here..Box was a extremely big..Lol Bubble wrapping or some type of packing material would be good in there..lol literally just bounces around in a big Box..at least Leo Jaymz packed the Guitar very well..Amazon put it in the Box 🍻
I really enjoyed this video, but you’re the second person I’ve seen reviewed this guitar that was surprised that it didn’t come with a case. I don’t know why? It’s a $240 guitar. I would be very surprised to get a case with a guitar that cheap unless it was a very cheaply made guitar. This one obviously is not a cheap guitar, so obviously all the money went into the guitar. Probably no profit margin room left for a case or bag.
I was only surprised because I have done several budget guitars on the channel. And there are several that come with cases, that's all.. The thing that surprised me the most, was just a Guitar and a bag Inside of a box that's it.. LOL I was actually scared when I got it. Because I read some reviews..People have gotten them with the headstocks busted off due to shipping
Am I the only one? Who bought two? And had to file the corners of the plastic nut because they were piercing sharp? Should I buy a 3rd one and hope? Hmmmmm
