Chapultepec Zoo 2023: We Witness the Mating of Turtles

This video shows animals from the Chapultepec Zoo. This was a short visit so not all areas of this zoo are shown.
One of the most unforgettable moments of this visit to the zoo was the privilege of witnessing the fascinating act of mating of the turtles. It was an exceptional experience that one rarely has the opportunity to witness in a controlled environment like a zoo.
This tour focuses on the Arid Zones whose main characteristic is the low rainfall so there is limited availability of water. These areas have a dry environment and, as mentioned, a lack of water. Temperatures in arid areas vary during the day and night and are often extremely high during the day and low at night. Because of all this, vegetation has adapted to drought conditions like cacti and other plants that resist water scarcity.
There are also grasslands, which are ecosystems characterized by vegetation of herbs and grasses, and few trees and shrubs. They are found in temperate and tropical regions.
Some animals that can be seen in the video are the bighorn sheep, the Mexican wolf, turtles, the sacred baboon, prairie dog, zebra, giraffe, antelopes such as the Gemsbuck or Oryx gazella, the tiger, the guanaco, the peccary white-lipped and the dromedary.
