The only work in the pitch. When the crow is activated, they pitch up to compensate for the flaps bringing the nose down. Cheers and thank you for watching!
Question. The yellow jet. How much does that cost, if you buy the jet? What else do you need. Controller, battery, what else do you need. How much does it cost to get that set up you have to get into this hobby with that jet. What do I need. Where do I buy it. Thank you so much for your great video.
Hey man the yellow one is around 450$ Controller, battery, an receiver. You would be looking around the same cost for a nice controller, but there are cheaper options. I would check out www.horizonhobby.com They are beginner friendly!!
I have both. Still need to fly the 64mm one but having to choose will be difficult. I love the 80mm version. But how did you stuff a 6000 in there? I can fit a 5200 but just barely. But 4 min flights are possible. I added RC Geek's 100%FSA nozzles which i printed myself. Highly recommended as they help with the top speed and thrust.
OK...I finally was able to maiden the 64mm Rafale today and in answer to your question which Rafale was better? I have to say the 80mm by far. It has much more power and is a bit easier on the battery than the 64mm version when doing hi-Alpha. The 64mm flew OK but you could tell it was underpowered. I was using a new Spektrum 4s 2200 30C pack. Majority of the flight the throttle was 2/3 or higher. Compared to the 80mm where I was at 1/2 stick for most of the time in the air. After a 3 min flight with the 2200 in the 64mm Rafale the pack was at 20%. I even used some older 2600 4s packs from the Hobby Lobby EDF's (remember those?) I got a bit more time (like 30 seconds) but no power improvement. The 64mm Rafale flew with the gear installed as were at our paved airport runway. I really don't feel that the gear being removed and hand launching would improve things. But I will remove it when I fly her at our regular club field which is grass. Also today the wind picked up during our flying session. Initially started with calm conditions the 64mm Rafale did OK but as the wind picked up during the day performance waned. It doesn't like to fly in the wind as it needs more power. The 80mm wasn't affected by the wind. I also flew the 80mm Rafale today with the wing tanks for all my flights. The 80mm Rafale handled the tanks being on just fine when doing any and all manuevers...even high alpha. The 64mm looks cool for sure but performance definitely goes to the 80mm. It has more energy to spare..both from the powerplant (mote/battery) and kinetically. I was doing high alpha and had power to just hover or climb out vertically from the hover with it. Now, let me say I also have printed RCGeek's 3D nozzles and installed them. If you have the 80mm Rafale and have not installed the 100% FSA nozzles...DO IT! They provide a big improvement. The 80mm Rafale flew with Hoovo 5200 6s 60C packs. So, which one will I reach for next time I fly? I have to say it would be the 80mm Rafale. It just checked off more of the boxes for me.
Nice! That may be the best demo I've seen flown of this jet (The 64 mm). I'm not huge into the H.A thing, but that 64mm looked great doing it. Is the top end speed pretty good?
I've just been flying the 64mm on 3200 4s. I really like it. Its not really fast but it makes up for it with its looks, handling and price tag. The 80mm is x2.5 more expensive. I'm not sure I can justify that.
It does have the safe feature on the reflex, so technically this could be a first jet. I would not recommend this as a first jet though. The Habu would be a better option. Cheers
Gripen can't perform alpha like the Rafales can. It's too heavily loaded. It starts losing lateral stability and just drifts until you let the nose down, risking a crash. The Rafale can easily recover from that while the Gripen takes a lot more effort.
@@TwoBrosRC LOL!! All you have to do to "recover" is let go of the elevator and gain speed! The Rafales canards move 1/4 of and inch and the Gripen has WAY more authority!! Plain PHYSICS
Godamn mannn. Your girl had the plane centered, in focus and without da shakes.
Thank you!! We try to keep it that way for you guys!
2 PERFECT FLIGHT OF 2 AMAZING JETS. FILMED PERFECTLY BUY ASHLEY. THANKS FOR POSTING SIR 🇬🇧🇺🇲🕊️🤙🏼✌🏼

Very nice flying
Wow nice flyin
Thanks Sno!!
Thank you Ray!!
What is the set up for the Kanards as alirons or elevator or flaps?

I just wish they would do a different scheme for the 80mm
I understand. And It is not one that you can cover up easily either. Cheers
Nice planes😀
You should try freewing gripen with vector thrust.
Could the 80mm be handlaunched if u made a handgrip underneath and had a good headwind??
If you remove the gear, yes
Hamilton, Great idea for the hand launch mod!
Thanks Rich! Cheers
@@hamiltonshangar how is it holding up? is the plastic vent hole you cut damaging the foam?
Do you think the 64mm is good for beginners?
The Reflex in there has safe mode so, yes it would be for beginners
@@hamiltonshangar thank you!
I have the 80 and it is my favorite jet that I have ever flown.
Awesome flying and great video ✌🏻✌🏻
Can you please share a link to the 80mm afterburner?
Thanks

Glad you enjoyed it, and yes the tip end is good on a down wind. Cheers
Sweet video che!!!! but the all time best high aloha id say is the Mirage 2000...just wait you'll see lol
I plan on getting that jet for sure man! Thanks! have a great day!
great looking flights ! 👍👍
Thank you!!
Nice flying! It seems the f-16 is a lot faster? Is it? Nice video too..
The f-16 might be faster yes! I’d have to test them out!
Great work brotha! I was eyeing that 80mm I just dont have the field to be able to fly it at near me. The grass at my field is just too rough.
Glad those flights went well , you fly great
I want the 80, looks great.
Good job bude thanks

Thanks man for watching and the 64 is super fun! I understand the reasoning on not getting the 80mm. Cheers!
Would like to hookup on the thrust tube mods for mine , really like my 80mm .. I fly a 4000 in it .
I will be looking into those thrust tubes! Thanks man!
Is the 64mm a good first EDF??

@@hamiltonshangar Thanks I might go with the F86 or Banshee

what does High Alpha mean?

I have the 64. I fly it off of short grass. It fly's fine but definately needs more power' I would not buy another one.

64 did better high alfa I have this one not flown yet to much hI WIND IN GREENVILLE TENN.
NOT THE BEST HIGH ALPHAS!! GRIPENS WITH WORKING CANARDS WAY BETTER!!

Yea, Rafale smokes the Gripen in the alpha department:) It's also a better looking plane overall!
Mirage 2000 hands down will beat the Rafales and Gripen both in speed and in High Alpha
