Truly a warm, beautiful gentleman with so much charm and appeal that the Orville hired him based on a video audition and waived the live audition. The charm of Isaac's character is that of Mark Jackson's, the man behind the costume, projecting his charisma through a heavy costume. He's achieved excellence in response to a challenging acting job. He has to do it all through dialogue and subtle body gestures, unable to use any facial expression.
I'm quite sure they'll do an episode wherein we'll see Mark in the flesh. Ex., a holographic or biological construct where Isaac will download his consciousness to. I mean look at ST Voyager, they were able to do an episode that gave the Doctor the ability to go anywhere (29th century mobile emitter) ;)
Tonton - there is an episode on season 2 where both Isaac & Yaphet both get their 'hard light' selves reproduced in the environmental simulator and you do get to see both in the flesh.
@@aylanvoeten2363 I agree wholeheartedly! Mark does a phenominal job. Every movement of his hands and tilt of his head is precise. He is incredible! Expressing one's self without facial features isn't easy, but Mark has mastered this. Seth made the best decision possible in choosing Mark Jackson! ☺
He's such a beautiful man. I definitely want to see more of him!
Great character. Last episode for the first time her face is introduced to the viewer. I love his voice and Isaac's rationality. :D

Who is the voice of Isaac? Not this guy?
mbaxter22 yea he’s the voice of Isaac
PalayeBiersackSimms That's cool; Isaac is by far my favorite character on Orville and I hope future episode really explore him in depth.
mbaxter22 same!!
After S02E06 you can't deny it
He's the voice and the actor.
the thing is they could easy replace Mark with some other actor in the costume if they wanted
There s only 1 actor who can play Isaac and that's mark jackson
Why would they want to do that?
@mingram15 yes I agree
I disagree as u can see 🤔😝
