Thanks for this Excellent tutorial , but i wonder if we can use ucm appliance as a gateway for Elastix server if not can we add some of Elastix server module like call center module to Grandstream ucm appliance
I tried Elastix and it was such a headache to set up, especially with various phones and I had lots of issues with dropped calls and mysterious intermittent problems. When I replaced the system with Avaya IP Office the customer loved it and the complaints stopped. Do I want to keep using Avaya? No, I would like to use something open source and something cheaper, but until there are alternatives that are as easy to setup and problem free as Avaya I am not going back to anything Asterisk.
Hello, I am trying to import XML file on my Grandstream phone (GXP 1780) via the import setting under the Phonebook. The file gets imported and it says a message, "File imported successfully". However the phone doesn't read it, and i dont see any contacts under the Phonebook->Local Phonebook. Can you help me with this issue?
hey I have and question, I do have and UCM6104 and I connect 3 FXO lines and I have this problem with the inbound calls that I can only receive 2 at the same time and the Voip lines and the 3 analong line the system don't pickup those calls. Any help thanks you!
Hi Sir, our company is planning to buy the UCM6100 series, but we would like to ask if auto-provisiong or the zero configuration also work with other ip phones like polycom or cisco. if not is it possible to add it manually? Both phones are SIP phones. Thanks.

She changed the username and password, and I'm unable to login now to change some settings. Do you know of anyway that I can gain access into the unit? or if I do a factory reset will the login id and password revert back to the default which is admin/admin? Regards.
I have the same (grandstream ucm 6102) and find it difficult, almost impossible to configure.. Your video shows hot to configure this device, why do you suggest to get rid of it ?

They're basically just trying to help people with these substandard products (Grandstream) to get them to at least work for a bit.

Not possible, you can only add configure file to UCM storage and upload from there (so in some way you can provision).

When I write the ip address of UCM in browser, it doesn't connect to the page of UCM!!

i have a 6102 but sees only 2 of the 5 devices.. very hard to configure.. not working :(
I suggest that you use LucidPhone UCL202 IP PBX instead.
It is stable and has no issues.
