I got the 2.0 and I'm not quite sold yet. I feel like I'm using more pressure and force moving my mouse than I would usually. It also restricts my thumb movement, maybe a lighter mouse is needed I'm not sure. But what I will say is once I adjusted my seat and position to compensate for the extra 10mm of lift I've noticed I'm not getting as much pain. Will use for a week or two more and see how it goes.
And....another great review my friend! As always, I appreciate the time and effort you take to make such informative and fun to watch content. You are definitely an "influencer." For me, I seem to be happy with the Apple Magic Trackpad. I used mice WAY back in the day and I'm happy with the battery life and not having to move a mouse all about the desktop. I kinda like the idea of the mat and it's also fun to watch the evolution of your keyboard with it's mix of keycaps. I watched a video of yours when you were setting out to use those beautiful green keycaps. One thing for certain Martin, is that you never stop thinking which makes this adventure so much fun and interesting. Take care my friend!
H Patrick. I also love the trackpad. Never had the standalone version, but on the MacBook Pro 16-inch, it is big and fantastic. The mat works really well for the keyboards as well. Gives it a dampening and some warmth ( I know, that sounds weird). You should consider picking up a pair, my link gives you 10%. deltahub.io/?ref=MartinAaberge
Really appreciate this video as I just got both of these in the mail today, but you really need to get that mic mounted separate from the desk because the booming when you touch the desk and move is a bit jarring. Otherwise, really comprehensive and appreciate the content!
I came to your review because I have the same combo. I even have the MX Master 3 along with a wired high dpi mouse. Both mice skip or stall on the desk pad. The wool fabric feels rough for my taste. I thought it would get softer over time but it's starting to pill up I used it for a mousing surface.
Hi Blended Family Man. I'm sorry to hear that you experience skip and stall. I haven't experienced that at all. Maybe it will happen over time. I have had it close to a month now and, as I said, no issues so far.
Glad I saw this before finalizing my purchase. the cheapies on amazon all have the pilling issues and I thought about going with this more expensive one to avoid that. Good to know that its not much better (if at all)

Thanks for the comment. How do you feel now after five days?

I don't know why but watching this video reminded me of when I use to watch Mr. Rodgers. Not sure if it is the way he speaks or the background music.

You’re welcome:)

Is the pad safe for a wooden top table?
I would think so yes. I’ve seen this on many woodtop desks :)
