  • The Costco Putter…is it just another cheap, budget golf club, or is it the real deal? At a price less than $150, does it live up to the hype, or just another budget club not worth your consideration?

The KS1 Kirkland Putter can be picked up at your local Costco right after grabbing a hot dog or a slice of pizza. Set at a great price, but is the Kirkland putter just a great deal, or an actual contender for a spot in your bag?
The KS1 is probably closest in comparison to the Scotty Cameron Newport 2 and Ping Anser, when it comes to overall look and design. As far as similarities to the Newport 2, the Kirkland KS1 also has a weight kit that can be purchased separately to customize the putter to fit your preference.
Let us know your thoughts on the Kirkland KS1 putter in the comments, and other Kirkland golf products. Should we review more Kirkland products in the future?

It’s actually been $99 for quite some time now. Which makes it a no brainer.

I have been playing the KS1 putter for a year and a half and have loved it. Over the last year or two I’ve been upgrading my clubs to better quality items from budget package sets and was looking for a putter to go in with my new pings, but couldn’t afford much so I found the case one at Costco liquidation store for 70 bucks. It was a damaged box return but had no issues. Also bought the weight kit for $20 at the same place. I made it as heavy as I could feels great.

That’s awesome! And good to know! Would you recommend the weight kit for others, or do you think it’s more of a preference for you?

@@GolfAscending I like The feel of a heavier putter so for me it’s a preference. But I also put the weight in the handle for a better counterbalance too.

Bought this putter September 2022. I now have 8 putters. Variety is the spice of life. After comparing them all for 6 sessions at the practice green, this putter is now in my bag. Replaced my vintage 1989 Titleist blade. Kirkland speed & distance control is easiest. The optional weight package is a mandatory purchase. Out of the box the putter feels too lightweight. I replaced the 10 gram weights with the 15 gram. I tried the 50gram handle plug insert. That was ridiculous as it made the putter feel unresponsive and too heavy. For average greens that are rolling around 10 on the Stimp this is my favorite putter. If the course greens are wet, slow and fluffy I still bring the Taylormade 2 ball mallet for the extra heft.
