Truly loved that ending, when you recognize your independence, nothing can stop you from thriving. A message we all need in today's sometimes chaotic world.

Sometimes they disrespect you, devalue and hurt you even after you have told them not to do certain things, so “ghosting” is not bad in that specific case.

    A good manual.
I'd add that confronting the ghoster effectively corners them, so if they have 'I'm trapped' wound, they will be triggered, and might get aggressive. And feeling trapped often coincides with conflict avoidance, so it's likely.
Also this 'I need to know' is effectively aggressive itself, making it more a revenge than anything. Trying to gain something they don't agree to give.

This topic is so on point for me today Dr. Steinborn. I recently started a new relationship and it was progressing really fast. There was a disagreement a week ago and total radio silence since. I reached out a few times and finally left a message that they needed to make the next step. If I get no response I guess that means I have my answer.

    Hello Dr Maika
Thanks a lot for useful content
    especially about self esteem category
they are really practical and helpful
I think it would be great if you could also talk about masturbation.
I think this is strongly related to self-esteem and meeting core needs and self-love
You might think this is an obvious and basic issue, but in some societies and cultures this issue and contradictory beliefs confuse people
It would be very useful and effective if you spoke about this as an influential psychologist.

    Hi Dr Maika
Since we don't know for sure who's going to eventually ghost us (as it's pervasive in our age/culture when people ghost even during life events like marriage, career) what about placing good faith in someone's humanity? Isn't ghosting also a product of projection by the ghoster and a power move to control the situation as well as an ego defense.. you said not to take ghosting personally but what if the ghoster selectively ghosts as in they do converse with others. Is it to do with their fear of engulfment.. or a self sabotage way of losing out on meaningful relationships by ghosting instead of voicing one's needs/grievances. It's cognitively dissonant too when old bonds eventually ghost. Is it suffice to say that all relationships are transient at best and aren't meant to last..
