If Americans enjoyed the same conditions as those in Switzerland, Sweden, or Denmark - such as fair wages and better living standards -perhaps the United States would be a better place. Unfortunately, many Americans are influenced by wealthy individuals who seem to favor exploiting workers, or by figures like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who are fake socialist. The claim that one must be wealthy to be a good leader is fundamentally flawed. History shows that some of the greatest leaders came from poor or middle-class backgrounds. For example, Abraham Lincoln, who led the U.S. through the Civil War and abolished slavery, grew up in a log cabin with very modest means. Similarly, Nelson Mandela, who became a global icon for his role in ending apartheid in South Africa, started his journey in a rural village. These examples demonstrate that effective leadership often comes from those who understand the struggles of the average person.

There are multiple proverbial onion layers at play in the situations discussed. They raised the minimum wage in an attempt to offset the ridiculously expensive cost of living in Sa Francisco and throughout California for that matter. Many people live an hour or more away in order to afford a basic apartment. The rise in homelessness is a direct result of stagnant wages for decades, while expenses such as housing, food, gas, etc. have steadily increased. High tech companies moved into the area, paying exorbitant salaried and drove the market through the roof. The average family can no longer afford to live/work there. Who's going to serve all those yuppies their burgers and lattes for minimum wage? 🤔

Let us keep it 100. Things have fallen apart. But we must keep it real. The real root of why our community is failing inside the black community. Especially in San Francisco. We had real groups of black men and women and real social and economic organizations who was trying hard to uplift our communities across this country. Cointelpro and those in government who did not want to see an economic power inside the black community. They wrote laws and use government sanctions on our real black organizations to destroy what our parents was trying hard to build. This is the reality that no one wants to talk about. Both parties help to destroy our own communities will to become economic viable across this country. What we see in San Francisco is a direct result of those who only want to have a one sided economic system that works for only one group. This is the reality. Why is no money is giving to the real black organizations who has a real history of getting things done inside the black communities. Why is money always giving to those who has a real track record of doing nothing for the community. Both parties refuse to work with those real black organizations that is actually putting in that work. People talk about change but they don't want it. This is why San Francisco is in the condition that it's in.

I'm sorry, but income inequality ALWAYS results in a third world country with pockets of first world luxury.
America has had small third world pockets for a long time. What is freaking people out is that those pockets are getting bigger, more common, and easier to see.
America now has aristocracies. There are the liberal political, liberal corporate, conservative political, and conservative corporate aristocracies. The only time the middle and lower classes get anything is when the aristocracies can't figure out how to get what they want without throwing the peasants a bone. Those of you with wealth who are not part of an aristocracy are eventually going to find yourselves a LOT more sympathetic towards the peasants.
Revolutions don't happen in a vacuum. Injustice fuels revolts. Increases in criminal behavior (especially individual/small scale/disorganized crime) are just the first signs of a fire.

I'll toss out a bone. The US government is structured like a corporation. Which is why it's so easy to run it like a money laundering and wealth-transfer operation. The corporation was designed to promote and protect the interest of the stock-holders, of which you're not. You're an asset. I could go on an on.
