Charlotte is known for the history of being called the Hornets nest. That's why our basketball team is the Hornets and why the theme works for the area.
Keep in mind that millenium force is the first roller coaster to top 300 ft. back in the year 2000. Back then it was also the tallest and fastest coaster in the world of its time before top thrill dragster opened in 2003. This is not mentioned in the video.
Who care what he chooses it's not like the owners of the parks care. Mainly because both of the parks they are in are owned by cedar fair. Let me just say, they pick the biggest coasters they can find. They are both epic, and next summer I am going to ride fury 325.
I finally rode fury! Twice! Great coaster. The comparison I'll give to MilForce is this: 2018, my 10 yo daughter decided to ride Milli and cried! Her first ride on Fury, same year 2018, she pretended to be sleeping for the camera, but I thought she passed out! So we spent most of the ride arguing because I thought she fainted. She was too scared to do anything like that on Milli! IMO both coasters are great and cannot be compared.
Even when I had the comfortable T-bars strapped in, I still felt that memorable airtime. I had the best experience of my life on Fury 325. And I agree with you, it's the best roller coaster I've EVER been on in my entire life!

I wasn't super keen on Millennium Force for my first few rides, but I gotta say...I experienced airtime on Millennium for the first time in August of 2018. It was riding incredibly, and there's no better setting for a coaster. I finally get why Millennium has die hard fans. Overall I prefer Fury, but the margin has definitely narrowed.
I love both of these coasters! They are 2 and 3 in my book. I actually like Millennium Force's restraints better though. They are just more open. Props if you ride it on a windy day to.

Couple things I want to point out, by category: Speed: You shouldn't have done it by stats on its own but by how fast you feel. On Fury you feel like you're going incredibly fast for the first half but after the first airtime hill after the treble clef turn you start to slow down quite a bit. Millennium, though, keeps going all the way to the end. Fury's speed going into the brakes is probably around 30-40 mph. For Millennium, it heads into the brakes at 65 mph. Intensity: I'm not arguing that Millennium is more intense than Fury but the thing I despise more than anything else in the world are the people who call it "Millennium Forceless." I've always grayed-out off the first drop all the way to the first tunnel. The overbanked turns aren't bad either. Millennium has 4 overbanks and with the exception of the second one to the right they're all pretty intense, especially the first one and the last one. Then there's the airtime: It doesn't have a lot of it but it's some of the best airtime on the planet, especially the first drop in the back and the final bunny hill. If you're properly hauling, especially at night, you just fly over it and it can be as good as the airtime on El Toro. That's how good it is. Restraints: Again the restraints on Fury are better but the truth is that I've never had a problem with the restraints. Unlike Skyrush the restraints don't tighten up during the ride. They're also tiny in terms of restraints, as he said, so you feel really open and the train itself feels really airy. Theming: For most of the queue Millennium's theming is non-existent, but when you enter the station it starts to show up. First of all the station itself looks like it came from the 22nd century. Second of all the red lights and the music give you a sense of futurism. You feel like you're stepping forward into a time of flying cars and gathering energy from a supernova. Then there's the tunnels; they don't have any effects but they do add to the ride as the ride plunges you into darkness and back into the light. I'm still not surprised Fury won and I don't blame anyone for ranking it higher, but the gap between the two rides isn't as large as people think. Millennium's become the ride that people have ridden so much that a lot of people, even myself, have forgotten how good it is, and in about 10-20 years Cedar Point will probably add something that'd put Fury to shame and a bunch of people start to look down on it.
Awesome video, but I have to admit that I love the majestic "look" of Intamin Hyper and Giga Coasters over B&M's. Intamin's overall steel structure make them look bigger, badder, more intimating and ultimately taller than B&M's. In other words, Intamin coasters look like true Rides of Steel while B&M look more like Rides of Stilts. Keep up the great videos!!!!
The only problen i have is with the theme, I think that should have gone to Millennium for the fact Fury is in practically a field, outside of that I do agree.

+Nick A fight can't just be between the statistical information- if that were the case, then only the bigger, taller, and faster rides would win. The opinion based categories are truly what determines the better ride. Of course not everyone will agree with them, but that is the basis of each coaster fight.

I got to ride all 3 gigas in the U.S. the past few weeks. Millennium & I305 are super smooth (both Intamins), while Fury had a really terrible rattle. The infamous B&M rattle is worse on Fury than any other B&M I've ridden, and it gave me a bad headache during the ride, until I learned to lean forward. Taylor (and others) must not feel the rattle, but it's very noticeable to many. I heard many other guests complaining that Fury was "rough", "shaky", etc. Millennium & I305 feel like they're going so much faster than Fury as well, and they maintain that speed better, and are far more forceful & intense. Fury is still great, but the other 2 are far better.
I’ve personally never ridden fury yet and can’t tell you which one is better IMO but Millennium Force is my favorite rollercoaster EVER. It’s theme rocks and I love the view, speed and height of the ride. As far as the restraints they’re awesome because they’re lap bars and that creates more air time!

I think Fury 325 should've gotten a nothing in the theming. A logo of a hornet makes it themed? The last time I checked 1000 years was more substantial than a hornet.
You do realize that the reason fury is a hornet is because during the revolutionary war Charlotte was nicknamed the hornet's nest because, when British troops would pass through snipers would take out there men, so do some research before you imply, that's why Charlotte also has the hornet's as a basketball team

MF without a doubt. Look at all the awards it has won, and is continuing to win. Plus it has the awesome cable lift system, and is next to the water giving you a great view. The restraints on MF should have won also, especially in the very front of it, with only a lap bar it makes you feel more like you are free and flying. That's what it is - a magic carpet ride. That's why it wins awards.
Red88Rex Only a few issues with it. Bugs. And I mean lots of them. Restraints that crush your crotch. Only a few elements. Not very intense. That being said, the fury has little to no theming also, but it is way better in the categories I listed above.
This is tough..both I love and are basically perfect. Very similar as well: fast long smooth rides. Gotta give it to fury though just because better layout. More unique, some.more air, feels longer too. Two absolute gems for sure.

Plus your theming section was bull crap. There is no theme at all for fury. So a logo gives it 2 points? Millennium force also has no theming really, but what does give it some points would have to be the station, and the fact that, as you said, its themed to itself! I'm not going to say that fury isnt better per say, as that is completely biased and personal opinion, but you robbed mf in some sections. Oh yeah, your g force section was also crap. Yeah I have to agree that Millie was robbed, as I reconcile Fahrenheit at HP was given one or two points because it was themed to itself. I do think that Fury is probably better, but Taylor was biased in the G-Force and theming categories. I am not a CP Fanboy and people shouldn't hate CP Fanboys for liking Cedar Point.
The fact that MF is 15 years old means nothing. It's simply not as smooth, and will never again be as smooth, as a brand new B&M coaster. Also, it could've gotten 10 points for theme and it still wouldn't matter, Fury 325 is better in pretty much every catagory.

The thing that kills any desire for me to make the treck down to Fury is fully assigned seating. Until I can choose to wait for the front and back row Fury 325 is flawed for me.
Fury is The King Giga Coaster of the world... no arguments for Millenium anymore... But Millenium will always be reminded for creating this intense category and will always be on our minds and hearts.... Yet Millenium is still one of the Best coasters of the world, but in general, has been surpassed by the new generation including hybrids and launcher types... Thanks a lot for the comparison.
MF is 15 years older therefore it was one of the first coasters of that time. U have 15 years to think of something better in making F325. MF is better!!
I can't accurately make a comparison because I have not ridden Fury yet. But why people say MF is forceless is beyond me. The thing DOESN'T stop. It's pure raw speed from lift hill to brakes. Airtime is some of the best. I agree on the theming, however CP isn't marketed as a theme park, but more an amusement park. Theme parks are for Six Flags. I'll die happy with one, just one ride on Fury. But MF isn't overrated nor underrated. It's plain AWESOME.
Rode them both! Millennium Force is by far the best roller coaster North of NY and Fury 325 is by far the best roller coaster South of NY. So until they come out with an astro-coaster called Fury Force 605 in NY... these are best 21st century ones to ride!

Went to Ceder Point every year up until I was 25 years old, came back a month ago at 35. No roller coaster parks in between. Rode Millennium Force 5 times in 2 days, and every time I got extremely faint coming off the bottom of the first hill. Not complaining. But it was the only coaster that happened on. Therefore, I disagree that their is little Force in Millennium Force.

I think Milli is more intimidating because it launches right up the hill and the restraints barely cover you

The restraints on MF should have won also, especially in the very front of it, with only a lap bar it makes you feel more like you are free and flying. That's what it is - a magic carpet ride. That's why it wins awards.

This is tough..both I love and are basically perfect. Very similar as well: fast long smooth rides. Gotta give it to fury though just because better layout. More unique, some.more air, feels longer too. Two absolute gems for sure.

I found both MF and Fury 325 both to be pretty forceful, and I've ridden both pretty recently.

And for smoothness, man, the fact that mf has gone this long and is still realllyy smooth, says something.
Plus your theming section was bull crap. There is no theme at all for fury. So a logo gives it 2 points? Millennium force also has no theming really, but what does give it some points would have to be the station, and the fact that, as you said, its themed to itself!
I'm not going to say that fury isnt better per say, as that is completely biased and personal opinion, but you robbed mf in some sections.

Yeah I have to agree that Millie was robbed, as I reconcile Fahrenheit at HP was given one or two points because it was themed to itself. I do think that Fury is probably better, but Taylor was biased in the G-Force and theming categories. I am not a CP Fanboy and people shouldn't hate CP Fanboys for liking Cedar Point.
The fact that MF is 15 years old means nothing. It's simply not as smooth, and will never again be as smooth, as a brand new B&M coaster. Also, it could've gotten 10 points for theme and it still wouldn't matter, Fury 325 is better in pretty much every catagory.

These are both great rides, however I put millenium force just a little bit ahead of fury. Millenium force is my 3rd favorite coaster with fury being #4! I have them both behind skyrush and I305!!!!!!!!!!!!

Same here! When I rode in the back of Fury 325 I felt like I greyed out a little also. But when I sat in the front, I did not have that feeling.

Fury is The King Giga Coaster of the world... no arguments for Millenium anymore... But Millenium will always be reminded for creating this intense category and will always be on our minds and hearts.... Yet Millenium is still one of the Best coasters of the world, but in general, has been surpassed by the new generation including hybrids and launcher types... Thanks a lot for the comparison.
MF is 15 years older therefore it was one of the first coasters of that time. U have 15 years to think of something better in making F325. MF is better!!
I can't accurately make a comparison because I have not ridden Fury yet. But why people say MF is forceless is beyond me. The thing DOESN'T stop. It's pure raw speed from lift hill to brakes. Airtime is some of the best. I agree on the theming, however CP isn't marketed as a theme park, but more an amusement park. Theme parks are for Six Flags.
I'll die happy with one, just one ride on Fury. But MF isn't overrated nor underrated. It's plain AWESOME.

Went to Ceder Point every year up until I was 25 years old, came back a month ago at 35. No roller coaster parks in between. Rode Millennium Force 5 times in 2 days, and every time I got extremely faint coming off the bottom of the first hill. Not complaining. But it was the only coaster that happened on. Therefore, I disagree that their is little Force in Millennium Force.
