- I know I searched for videos forever to figure out how to remove the dash for those looking to install radios but I couldn't find any, therefore I made my own. In this video I go step by step in how to remove the dash and access the radio for replacement. I replaced the stock radio for an OEM monsoon unit with AUX input due to the tape player going on the fritz on the stock unit. For OEM swaps, it's extremely simple to do and my set up worked out great!. I also go over all the details of the system, theftlock, and all the other info you're looking for. For installation of aftermarket units, I show where the wiring harness and antenna is so you can splice your wires for your system. Other than that I tried to make it as informative and entertaining as I could! Hope you all enjoy and if you have any questions let me know and I'll try to answer!
Thank you for posting this! Just acquired a 95 Limited. And guess what? My tape deck went kaput!
I just bought a 1996 collectors edition sedan and mine did the same thing, haha! so glad I found this.
I've had a 93 and ours has been like that almost since 93 sadly, I've been working on getting a new one but my damn uncle ruined the grill, hood, and mirror ༼;´༎ຶ ༎ຶ༽༼;´༎ຶ ༎ຶ༽༼;´༎ຶ ༎ຶ༽
kyle i really appreciate how long and hard you work and edit and tape these videos .... congratz your very talented
Hey!
Love your Roadmaster! Make sure to take good car of it!
That comment made my cry, my uncle hit a deer with our Roadmaster(ruined hood and grill) and he tore the mirror off with the garage door

Oh this is perfect, im sure there is a large amount of people wanting to install an OEM radio in a 1995 buick roadmaster limited.
Great video, this'll take the guess work out when I pull the factory CD Stereo out of my '94 Roadmaster Estate Wagon. CD isn't working so I need to pull it out and get it fixed.
I do like the looks of that Monsoon but I'll go with my stock unit once it's been repaired :)
Nice job, nice job indeed. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and experience young man. Very useful even though my vehicle is a '94 Regal.
Thanks for this! Time for an upgrade to 2024 hifi
I honestly didnt expect Kyle to listen to the kind of music that was on his iPod or have a sub in the trunk lol
Kyle, you listen to Dubstep?
Watching you take apart the interior made me cry.
What will you be doing with the old radio
i dont even have a drivers license yet but man i enjoy your vids!
Kyle......... You're amazing
KYLE I KEEP COMMENTING AS THE VIDEO PLAYS ON AND I KEEP FAILING, NICE CVR!
I figured since no one ever answers your trademark "hey guys, how's a goin'?", I'm going to answer....
I'm going well thank you!
Where did you order or get the replacement with aux cord?
***** Where did you purchase that Monsoon from?
Calvin Williams I bought mine from 1facfory radio and I'm waiting for it to arrive. It isn't a monsoon but they might have some online there.
That interior is put together like Lego.
Thanks for this info. I'm putting a dvd in my estate wagon, which has the 'Concert Sound II' radio (slight echo). I was afraid of breaking the dash panel. Your dash says 'Dynaride', mine says 'Grand Touring Suspension'. Both mean 'soft' I think.
It mean soft and feel nice
Great video and great car.
Did you get the aftermarket oem looking radio from eBay? I saw something similar for a Monte Carlo
Kyle, what is the first dubstep song you played?
Can I put this radio in a 1994 Buick Park Avenue? My tape deck broke too and I want a CD player as well.
If it has the BLUE connector, it will work.
Finally an answer. Thank you
I agree with you, aftermarket make the inside of the car look disturbed. Have you considered onstar FMV for navigation and Bluetooth? It works really well, it reduces insurance costs and it also works as a safety feature.
I have never seen a car have to have so much takenn apart to replace a radio in my life lol
@AnDyMaksoud it's also for curiosity too and it's difficult to remove the head unit of any stereo in a car that has the unit integrated into the dashboard.
@saabkyle04 agreed. tis on its own harness. USUALLY yellow in colour. wiring into an amp you can tap into rear speakers, and wire into a high level input on an amplifier, OR do same and wire into a line level converter. so you can mount amplifier in trunk. ground in trunk, and only wire you have to run forward is hte power cable for amplifier, and a trigger wire to turn amp on and off
How hard was the sub install? I just got a 95 and I was wondering if I could install it myself or get it done
that mustang sounded good..nice video
Thanks! This should help when I tackle replacing the unit in my 99 Park Avenue. It looks similar.
OEM radios FTW! I feel like people who have a problem with OEM systems need a HEARING AID instead of spending hundreds of dollars on some ugly aftermarket radio. I can understand putting one in if the car you're driving is a hooptie with a broken radio, but IMO putting an ugly aftermarket deck in a mint luxury car is like putting cheez wiz on filet mignon.
@ExplorerXP8
There are adapters that go in the standard radio connectors and have the sub input
Kyle you should buy a set so you can mount you camera on your head or somewhere else, so when you are doing thigs like that, you have free hands, and can work normaly and we can see the whole proces too.
oem is the way to go i hate aftermarket stuff unless its like k&n air filter or a muffler but thats it
thanks for the video, however it sure is easier if you take all the 7mm screws out with a rachetting screwdriver or screw gun on cordless drill.
i love dubstep and especially skrillex go Kyle you rock
This car has more character and appeal than any Hyundai Genesis coupe.
very good tutorial i was able to install my stereo with ease. thanks
Can you provide a link to the radio you put in? I have a 95 Roadmaster Estate and are looking for a way to play music from my phone without taking away from the factory look.
Thanks Kyle! Love your "How to's"!!
Lol when you were by the glovebox I was waiting to see the airbag set off lol
I like the Buick radios where the knob moves with the steering wheel control adjustments. (:
Very nice video kyle i am also a big person for stock i think the oem was a good idead dont use after market takes away the look of the vehile to me.
Love that song! Never would have thought you would have liked that lol
Great video, I would like to do the same with my '94 Estate wagon. Where did you find the radio?
hey kyle, did u ever had to disconnect the battery to remove the radio? i want to replace the stock cd player with a stock cassette player.
dude that car sounds amazing and i think you shoud make a video of how u put the amps and that speaker in the trunck
Your video was very helpful! One question, where dud yiu find the replacement radio with the iPod jack? I haven't been able to find one anywhere. Thanks for a very informative video!
I thought you thought the cassette player was an ipod jack lmao
great music choice ;D Korn all the way
So how did you get to learn how to fix up your cars so well ? Did you take auto shop classes or something ? I would love to change my stereo and stuff but I am afraid I might mess up and I won't know how to put it back together.
How do you wire a sub through a somewhat factory deck?
I thought you could only do it through aftermarket decks
Is there a factory amplifier or just the headunit? Have a roadmaster from 96...
@saxman112 i feel the same way with the system on my 2002 Camry. Its very easy to operate and its a great sounding system for a car of that price range. IMO the setup in cars like this is the best, with 6 preset buttons, a small knob for the volume, and a switch to sort through the stations. The only thing better would be to have the same radio controls on the steering wheel but it was easy to get used to for me without them.
Please, Tell me, where did you get that brand new factory Radio? so that I can get it too!...Please, would you?
By e-bay Auction!
@Saabkyle04, I just recently bought a 1997 Buick Regal and it has the same stereo built in. However I would like to install an Auxiliary Input so I can listen to music on my phone, rather than buying a whole new stereo. Is it possible to do so on with this stereo?
@achm3d Agreed. I've never seen the need for an aftermarket system (or even a sub) myself in my Toyota Highlander. I don't know what it is, but even their stock audio systems sound amazing! I just have my bass and treble set all the way up, and it works wonders!
@whatthehallbetch what kind of radio do u suggest i get? a cheap one preferably.
Who manufactured that new radio? GM? Because I don't recall them ever coming with AUX input... that's interesting.
@saabkyle04 Kyle I have a question, you mentioned that those radios have to be unlocked by the dealer, but does it still need to be unlocked if you buy them new like you did?
It's good that its a LT1 but don't you want the impala SS or 9C1 B-bodys?
@amdgoodez I'm pretty sure with some more force you could rip the whole dash off. Its appears to be made of very fragile and cheap plastics covered with rubber.
is that the 99 lesabre in the background that u did a video on last year?
Where did you get the replacement with a aux input at?
What's that song that he played the first time on his iPhone? I'm pretty sure it was skrillex?
Where did you find that radio? Does the company make only GM radios?
The only thing that Roadmaster seems to be missing now Kyle is some nice Buick Alloy rims. It would look great with some Regal GS rims or how about some Century Limited rims ?
Great taste in music !
@saabkyle04 hello, i know this question is not related to this video, but how do you convince the people at these dealerships to let you just sit in thier cars, if they know you are not interested in buying?
@sordow I'd assume that he's still on the 2-year contract, or he's just ended the two year contract, and he's waiting to get the upgrade to the iPhone 5. Another possibility is that he's happy with the phone he has now, and doesn't have the biggest interest in upgrading at this point in time.

Where did you purchase that radio? I wonder if it will work with the Cadillac Fleetwood as well from the same generation. That's really cool you was able to get one with a AUX input, I'd love to know where I could get one or how that works.
Kyle, I drive a 95 DeVille and so does my mom...I want to swap the radios out of the cars because my mom's has the factory CD Player...does that radio have theft lock or is it just going to be a pain in the neck? Also, that was amazing how you took the shots and pulled the dash out at the same time
how did you put the sub in with the stock radio
Hey, Kyle, you should become a car's mechanik ! :)
Hey Kyle....when you tilt the steering coloumn does the shifter also move with the coloumn?
Kyle, do you happen to have a 02-26 chevy impala on your channel, for some reason it wont let me search :[
If I keep watching all of your videos will I be a certified car nut?
Is the procedure similar in my '91 Caprice Classic?
Kyle How often do you highjack your dads carport? Is it really your workshop? Just teasing you. It seems that you almost live there with your two older cars.
@achm3d It was easy for me to get used to that too. The positioning of the radio on the dashboard makes it so easy to adjust the volume or change the station quick if I'm listening to the radio. But, I sometimes don't have to worry about that because sometimes I will also listen to my iPhone in the car with a cassette adapter. Would it be nice to have radio controls on the steering wheel? Yes, but you have to keep in mind that a couple years back certain features weren't standard.
You should have had your sister hold the camera for you like back in the good ol' days lol
what was the song that you played from your iphone?
I think some aftermerket/stock radios come with stuff like aux input and even usb inputs!!! =D
Is that real wood trim on the dash or is it just plastic?
Thanks Kyle. Now I know where to stash drugs without any worries.
I love GM removal processes. "Pull random parts and hope they come off"
🤣😂🤣😂...yep!
How is the sub amp hooked to a stock radio
song he played from his iphone is the new korn ft skrillex song called get up
easy to pull out great quality :P
First time ever seeing a car's dash being help by "clips". Is that the quality standard for 90s U.S. cars?
"Hey guys, How's it going?" Well It's going ok I guess. Gluing together a mirror on an S10 and looking for a new stereo for it and my mom's Tahoe... I want to get two of these stereos!
Oh damn Kyle, you got a wild side?! ooooooo! hahaaa! XD
I dont have buick, but i watch this whole video anyway.
Thats a really nice profile picture on your iPod Kyle (:
do u no if they make a oem radio with ipod hook up for 96 silverado
nice vid as allways, Do you know where I can find an original stereo to a saab 900 1995 ng with an aux line?
Have a 92 Roadmaster Base needs the rubber and some of the chrome replaced, also a paint job. I am curious if you have ever heard of anyone converting a base model into a Limited? Do you have any suggestions in reference to the body work and the conversion?
Thanx
Can you remove the radio from a 92 roadmaster the same way?
+Big Rob if your dash looks the same, which I am 99% it does, yes.
+Chris Bailey Thanks it helped me out a whole lot.
Where did you get that radio from??
can you tell me if the roadmaster is a double din
