Ambrose Pilgrim look at the last digits in the engine number this one is LD1 5 LD is the type 1 is the number of cylinder so this makes at single 5 is the year you add it onto 1950 so that is 1950+5=1955 hope this helps
already a good mechanic at that young age ! 6 years later a hope you still have the same drive for engines .
