I just checked and apparently that‘s the same distance I go by car everyday to get to the train station. I‘d love to do that part of my commute by bike, but unfortunately the terrain‘s so hilly that it seems impossible. I‘m so jealous of yall living in flat countries
Flat country is windy country. Riding into even a light wind for half an hour without respite can be hard work. The great advantage of hills is that they can protect you from the wind and they go down as well as up. The Lincolnshire fen country is as flat as the Netherlands but there is as little cycling there as the rest of the UK because the infrastructure to support it doesn’t exist.
Nigel Shoosmith, Hills can go down as well as up? Sure but the wind can blow in your face as well as in your back. The hills will always be there to annoy you, the wind is not always there. I choose wind ;)
Loved watching these types of videos. So relaxing.
So peaceful, thanks for sharing this!
so peaceful and addicted. i love watching your videos while listening to Van Morrison songs.
by the way, what camera are you using?
Despite the very bad road at 19:25, still smooth camerawork !

An electric motor on your bicycle can help flatten the hills ;)
That's what gears are for - you can do it!

Zo te horen had je nu je beste fiets gepakt Mark. :-)
How wide is the path at the beginning of the video or in the top photo in your blog?
20 cm. But I have a small screen.
You can count the tiles, every tile is 30x30 cm or 1 sq. feet. I count 11 tiles so 3,30 meter or 11 feet ;-)
That sure for Dutch standards was a bad road .
red concrete is missing indeed
